Very interresting info for me, and a nice quick getting srarted with R -bringing two of my favorite topics together. Thanks! Will follow your channel :)

Thanks for sharing this idea sir. I really appreciate it. You you know how to pas the data into the shiny app/ iot database and call the data for visualization

    Hi Michael, how are you?
I would like to know if you have rfid with distance greater than 1 meter if you can help me do?
    please thank you.

Reading from a distance greater than one meter sounds quiet challenging. I have been working only with passive RFIDs (tags without power supply, mostly ~125kHz) so far. Sometimes I make my own antennas (shown e.g. here: ruclips.net/video/l8RDbHd1cak/видео.html). As far as I know, it is basically not possible to read from such high distances with the RFID technology that I have used before. If I take a very good reader, work very properly on a antenna and put a lot of time into tuning, I might be able to achieve 15-25cm (absolute max). With 13.56 MHz/High Frequency (HF) you might achieve higher reading distances. But again, as far as I know the limit is about 1m with HF. I'm not an expert at this topic, but I guess you have to look into "active rfids" and " Ultra High Frequency (UHF)". Unfortunately, I have very little experience with this kind of RFID technology :/

      thank you Michael Schoeffler,
I'm Brazilian, I do not know how to speak and write in English. I'm using the google translator to talk to you, thank you for answering me and giving me an idea about this.
Here in Brazil I do not have much information on this subject and everything is difficult, but I think I could produce this antenna for a college project.
I want to make an antenna that communicates with the tags with a distance of 1 meter I know it has antennas with greater reach plus the cost is very expensive and I do not have how to buy.
Thank you for the video lessons.
      grateful
      washington oliveira
