    I’m going to keep my comment brief, but I am on a 15-week program with a nutritionist. She said to stick with water and sparkling water, eat calories instead of drinking them because eating will help you feel satiated longer. She said a healthy weight loss is 1/2 to 1-1/2 pounds per week, limit artificial sweeteners, choose foods that have fiber, 1/4 of your plate should be lean protein, 1/4 healthy carbs, and one half veggies. Two cups of fruit per day and 3 cups of veggies. Exercise at least 30 minutes 5 times weekly, strength train 2-3 times a week. Limit screen time (but I have to watch your videos!). There is so much more, but it seems we have been given much of the same information. I wish you nothing but success with your personal goals and continue to appreciate your inspiring, authentic videos.

      Yessssss! You have to watch my videos 😀❤️👏🏾👏🏾 I love it! She did tell me some of the same things. I’m on the fence about giving up my walking for the bike though. 🤷🏾‍♀️

      @@TracesofTwaunsLife Don’t give up walking! Maybe you can incorporate biking a couple of times a week, or make it a family event. I used to cycle with a group for 10+ miles on the weekends. It’s challenging and you feel good at the end, but you don’t really have the time to appreciate things around you. There was so much to learn about the traffic rules, changing gears, cadence, etc., and the gear is not cheap-the Jersey, shorts, shoes, water bottles, tools and accessories for the bike, bike maintenance and repair, and bikes aren’t cheap either. I never liked stationary bikes, so that’s a no for me. I do like the elliptical though. Keep going whatever you decide to do!

    Thanks for the shout out, Twaun!!!
    Incorporating fiber: add hemp hearts, chia seeds, or flax seed into yogurt and oatmeal.
    Incorporating fats: avocado, avocado oil, peanut butter, nuts, sunflower seeds.
    I’m not a fan of the bicycle either. I would try maybe elliptical or treadmill at an incline. They will definitely trick your muscles!

      I tried two different bikes at the gym last night. 😩 They’re not for me. My bottom was hurting on one of them so bad. I’ve been eating more fiber. Thanks so much for the suggestion.

    Hey Twaun, loving the hairstyle. I am glad you got good information from you nutritionist. I am also glad you are researching on your own as well instead of just depending on these professionals. I learning to listen to my body and do what's best for me for my condition because there is mixed information out there. Not to say that they are wrong, and its good that they are there.

    Hey Queen! You look beautiful! Great information. Did your nutritionist say anything about intermittent fasting? Years ago when I saw a nutritionist, she said I had to eat breakfast and it should have fiber in it, so I'm curious. I think I ordered some of those snacks. You are doing phenomenal and I appreciate someone who understands the journey with it's ups and downs. I agree slow and steady wins the race! Blessings!

    It is a huge change and life style but I do think you have the good plan. Slow and steady . weight lifting does the same for me.

      I think that makes your body lose inches. I hope your measure. only thing I wish I had done at the start. I don't really move scale but them inches

    Keep up the good work, I love watching your updates and I'm rooting for you. I am on zepbound started on wegovy and recently have started going to aquafiit classes, definitely a game changer. I am currently enrolled in LA fitness, you might want to check out in your areas to see if that works for you . Best of luck and keep it up we in this together.

      I switched from wegovy due to price, my insurance doesn't cover either of them but I zepbound is way cheaper. I was on the semaglutide compound, but my doctor preferred I do the brand name and since zepbound was about the same as the compound,I decided to go that route. Also I feel less constipated and bloated with zepbound. My Sw was 234 and I'm down to 182, I started in June of 2023.

      No she didn’t give me a list of foods. She did tell me to start eating more cereal with high fiber. I googled for a list of high fiber foods. It would’ve been nice if she had given me a list.

    be careful with cortisone shots. They make your blood sugar high. Make sure you check it; it can also have an effect on your weight loss.

      Great question, I don’t snack everyday. Often I have one or two snacks per day.

    If your gym has a recumbent bike you might want to try that. I do it and it’s safe for my big butt lol
