I loved this conversation! As an online pastor myself researching the metaverse and continuing to find ways to improve our online worship experience, this conversation was hugely beneficial. I'm so grateful for the creativity and innovation of Life Church and how they selflessly share their talents with the Church at large! Great conversation, Carey!
My God, this conversation full of wisdom and insights - Online and offline are both equally important but both are not equally effective. There are differences between them, try to: Understand it, Appreciate it, and Leverage it. - Just because it's not my preference (about methods), doesn't mean it's not effective. Do not let our preferences drive our theology - Do not let your preference rob you from seeing the opportunities that someone else who has a different preference might be able to experience the gospel - I'd rather be wrong at trying something than being a critic of something. Be student and not a critic. Have the attitude of "what can we learn?" - On trying new things, let's not assume that it's not effective without trying it to see if there's an opprtunity - Create community around the content, and do not settle on content delivery only. And transform the community, from one that gathers to the one that scatters. Thank you Carey Craig and Bobby
Psalm 23 King James Version 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
