Ricardos style is absolutely flawless, perfect in fact. He is by far the greatest technical boxer that ever lived. It's sad that he doesn't receive the recognition he deserves.
@@pedrolomeli8735 Ricardo is great but his resume doesn't really make him the greatest technician. His style was flawless but his opponents and his competition was questionable. I would've loved to see him at 124 or 130 where the competition at his time was better than the straw weight division.
the daily monotony of the plane flying in the background actually really highlights the importance of training in anything. while the day goes you must keep your mind focused on your goal, in absence of lights, audience, and accolade. it is during training that great diamonds are formed, wherein lies the silence among which self doubt and inner dialogue early await.
Such a beautiful technique, it so unreal how he did everything so perfectly a true master, even great fighters would have trouble with him . If he woulda been born bigger he would been one of biggest fighters know but will always be my favorite fighter
A masterpiece form a master boxers like Ricardo Lopez. He’s easily up there among the other master boxers like Pernell Whitaker, Jack Jackson, Salvador Sanchez, orlando canizales, Floyd Mayweather, Willie pep. are truly the best. I also like these Young guys/Vets like Terence Crawford, Errol Spence, Shakur Stevenson, Jaron boots Ennis, Devin Haney, Ra'eese Aleem, Gervonte tank Davis.
This guy has a good solid defense techniques. This is a good way to neutralize infighters and outboxers alike, he's got the jabs and straights with a good punching power to keep the infighters at bay. And the uppercut is the good weapon here, his footwork allow him to keep up with outboxers, this also allows him to have a good eye view of his opponent's positions and allow him to see the different angles of his opponents thus allowing him to deliver an accurate punch that would surely knock them out. He's a real hybrid type of boxer, both technical and infighter type. I wish I could learn the same technique he do.
I love his upper cut . his 108 pounds was one of the best ever . I weight its 122 and I have 18 fights. I did not have good promoters but I did step into the ring .
Notice how he performs the small inside duck at 14:24 exactly just like juan manuel Marquez. I see a lot of resemblance of JMM style in Ricardo style. Doesn't surprise me since they both have the same trainer in nacho.
