Few Americans know that only 6% of our population serves in the military. GOD BLESS each and every one. I cannot wait to get my chance to get aboard an Honor flight, we are getting to the Vietnam vets now.

My dad saved his aircraft that was transporting 74 men over the hump in the CBI theater. Taking fire from a zero, he crawled into the wing and covered the holes in the fuel tank, breathing fumes he almost died. That plane landed , those 74 men got to have families and grandchildren because of my father. Thats why I carried him in my arms for the last two years of his life. Because he served you..I served him.

Very touching and even if you haven't served but a family member did to me it still means you served because some families think they haven't but they have by supporting there loved one and others who have served.

I just retired from Federal Service this past October. At 17 yrs old, I went to BCT at Ft. Gordon, GA. I went on to spent 12 years in the Army. Eight of those years was in the same unit as my brother who passed away in 2010 from the effects of agent orange. Now retired (as many of us are), I would like to look into seeing if my life experience can help the organization. Anyone have a link to their site? God bless our Veterans !
