    Gavin is the goat of generator reviews

    Hi Gavin... awesome review as always... I've been considering installing something like this semi-permanently in my travel trailer. I'd like to connect it to the converter using an automatic transfer switch. But, I would want to disable the charger portion of the converter when using this power station - without just turning the charger breaker off. I've seen a couple of different options - just wondering what you might recommend. The first option (that i'm leaning toward) would be to disconnect the power from the breaker going to the charger and rewire directly from the shore power to the charger and install a 15 amp inline fuse for it. The second option would be some sort of relay to disconnect the charger when using the power station. Just curious what your thoughts might be and do you have any recommendations or what kind of fuse and fuse holder or what kind of relay might be best? Thanks for any advice!!

      If you’re thinking of doing this the right way, install a transfer switch like a reliance 10 circuit that way you can run grid power on your main loads and use the inverter on your essential loads.

    How do you plug the - & + connectors? My solar panels aren’t working … maybe I plug them in the wrong way? I’ve tried every combo.

    Seems like pretty good value compared to bluetti or ecoflow

    At what low voltage does it start damaging your equipment? I would rather it just say overload and start cranking the voltage down.

    I have the same. Is it normal that fans start even with the smallest of energy consumption? I connected to AC an electric blanket to the minimum and it consumes around 20W. The fans kick in right away and never shut down. They are so loud all night.

    • @GeneratorReviews
      @GeneratorReviews  10 месяцев назад

      Yes, seems like every manufacturer has a different setting for how the fan works this one has a fan speed controller, the fan gets faster when you start using more power.

      @@GeneratorReviews "the fan gets faster when you start using more power" YES, SURE BUT THEY KICK IN WITH ONLY 20 WATT. THAT IS ALMOST ZERO. I WAS CHARGING MY CANON CAMERA BATTERY AND THE FANS KICKED IN WITH ONLY 14WATT.

      No, I actually think this one’s pretty quiet when charging and under load.

    Gavin! Are you planning on reviewing the new 16000watt Duro max dual fuel inverter generator that will be coming out?

    Any concern of fire with the battery?

    • @GeneratorReviews

      With the new battery, chemistry lithium ion phosphate, You shouldn’t have to worry about that.

      You won’t have the capacity to fully charge on EV

      @@GeneratorReviews no that’s true, but if it’s possible you could connect additional batteries and solar panels and get 10-20 miles maybe more if sunny weather ( some power station units can charge with solar at the same time as discharging )

    My shitty station shows always 95W when I charge it with an external 12V power adapter at the DC input. Is this the same on your station?
    VTOMAN does not comment my question.
    The other thing is the car adapter. On my adapter only one of the two Minus contacts has a connection. The other one has no function.

    • @GeneratorReviews
      @GeneratorReviews  6 месяцев назад

      That is perfectly normal. It won’t pull more than 95 W at 12 V if your battery was Above 13.1 V you’ll probably get 105 W. So that’s perfectly normal when charging off 12 V DC.

    Well they don’t last I have had mine past four months so I’d be careful ordering one of these and I sure wouldn’t recommend after no help from VTOMAN at all. I’m about go full time vanlife and I’ll have no power that I need in one week.
