Even though I have always recognized how incredible the course and place is, I now realise I have taken it somewhat for granted, since I live quite close to the course. It truly is a masterpiece and stepping foot to a place called "Heinola Disc Golf Park World" and seeing the starting area is always incredible! Happy you got to experience it with Avery as well ;D
dude...your energy is so infectious. it's so awesome seeing how you balance the work and grind of tour life with also NEVER missing a chance for a life experience. that's what it's all about, man.
Finnish Prodigy Pro Tour is played there every year and there is footage from that event every year. In 2021 masters Finnish championship was held there and that was covered too. Nikko made a video as well when he was still with Clash discs. There people making other videos on this course every year so multiple videos per year. There are not many courses that have more coverage than this course. Pro tour layout is slightly different than this normal pro layout.
Damn Casey, i have waited some videos from you in Finland when i saw those instagram stories from Seppo with you and Laza, and here we are, dman, great content, thank you Casey, i hope you had a great time visiting the other side of the globe, much love and good luck for the rest of the season! Tsemppiä!!
Yo but for real, Finns take their disc golf super serious, and we all love to see it. Hope the Baltic countries continue to fall more in love with the sport as well.
Nice video 🇫🇮 happy to see you like it in Finland. We chatted at hole 16 on final day, really appreciated that. It was the only time a pro talked to me. Wish you all the best and see you next year at the Beast 🦁
i had literally no idea kippasuo is regarded as the best in finland, i live in heinola so been there a bunch of times in middle school during PE class, cool recognizing the locations too!
they have obviously cleared the underbrush out of the rough there, it doesn't grow quite as fast up here in scandinavia as it does in the US but if they didn't put in some serious work it would be quite nasty and definately not quite as enjoyable to play. My guess is they cut down all the new birch saplings at least every other year, maybe every year.
Fun to see, disc golfing is very popular here in general, alot of ppl do it casually or in school etc. really helps that we got alot of courses in Finland

Happy Birthday Avery! I'd kill to be 45 again, lol. My 62nd is tomorrow. I did ace on my last birthday though. Thanks Casey for another great video! Awesome course!
I think it is somewhat of a joke how quickly uDISC all of a sudden became the gate keeper for what courses are the best/ratings. Literally courses here in Florida that are straight TRASH that will get 4 stars by a bunch of newbies who have only played like 3 courses their entire lives. Meanwhile, a championship level course will get like 4.5 stars. I'm not saying that this course isn't the best in Finland. My gripe is how uDISC is so skewed and should not be the end all be all. Every one should be able to leave a WRITTEN review but uDISC needs to make it so that you have had to play at LEAST 20 courses before you can leave a star rating.
@@caseywhite4 that’s cool but there are thousands and THOUSANDS of courses. I think it’s safe to say if a course makes the Top 100 in the World, it’s going to be good. However, the other thousands of courses that the every day player has to play is where it all gets way too misleading. I showed up to a 4 star course once. No tee pads, no designation from where to tee from, no tee signs, 20ft wide “fairways” with huge fences on both sides for people’s yards. I know you have played Tom Brown in Tallahassee. It gets this great reputation as the best course in Florida and it’s NOT even the top 2 course in Tallahassee! It’s crazy.
@@Oikku_89 I don’t think it’s too much to at least say you have to play 10 courses and write reviews for 10 courses before being allowed to leave star rating.
Casey, DiscGolfPark Mijas in Mijas, Spain. Nearest airport I believe is Alicante. Would love to see a video from there even tough it's far away from your home.
Easy way to convert meters to ft. m x 3 + (m / 3) = ft It’s not exact but usually within a few feet. Example 100m x 3 + (100/3)= 333 ft. The actual is 328.
It might be easier for people to do meters times three then add 10% of that number. 100 x 3 = 300 plus 10% of that is 330. Also results in a close figure and 10% times anything is easy.
really liked the Tampere course also. felt so hard and seemed so good even tho its under maintence for now. and lovely meeting you at euro open and you are as happy and cheerful in person as on camera :)
hey Casey, we met at the European Open i was the guy with eagle snapback who took picture with you on the last day, hope your time in Finland was fun, it was so cool to get to talk with you!

Wow! I've played that course multiple times and it's always in good shape. Or as they say in Heinola: "Nurtsit on millissä" 👍 But it's definitely not one to tackle it you haven't eaten all day. So demanding physically with the elevations. Great round and nice video. Thanks for visiting 😊
I live 10 min from boise and make the trip to sandpoint every year in mid April to play caliber up north in sandpoint Idaho. Too bad it snows so much and the course can only be open from April to late october early November
Glad to hear you liked it in Finland. These videos are pleasant to watch where you analyze the differences between finnish/european, and american tracks. How would you say in general, which side finds it more difficult to adapt their play, europeans throwing on "typical american golf course" tracks, or americans on these "typical european forest" tracks?
Dude, AJ still got it. How many times has he been to Finland anyways? There are videos of him playing here way back, probably closer to 10 years ago by now...

Avery Jenkins is just great. He is always talking so highly about the people that build the courses, and everybody involved in general
Heinola dropped to #10 as of 2023… definitely got robbed. This course is insane!
