Nice view on this ride, brother. Thanks for sharing. I just put money down and will pick up my 1981 GS650L on Thursday. It's my first bike, and I'm 46 years old. I rode some dirt bikes a little when I was a teenager, but I've never been on the road. I would appreciate any advice you have for beginners. You might already have a video you could point me to. The crazy thing is I am wanting to ride it up the New England coast this Fall. I want to go to Maine on my first really long trip. I live near Erie, PA so it should take me a few days to get there. Any advice or places I should see, I would be glad of your input. Thanks again for the video.

Don't let this bike fool you. The displacement is considered small by today's standards but it is a screamer and will do more than you are capable of. I owned one. I sold it and regret it to this day. By far, the best bike I ever owned in quality, handling and reliability. I carried my daughter for thousands of miles through mountain twisties with no problems at all, ever. Fantastic bike.

is yours a twin or a four cylinder because my dad had a 1982 Suzuki GS650 I had a 1988 Suzuki gsx600f and my older brother had a 1999 Suzuki gsxr750 they all ran great and we got so many complements from people when they seen all 3 of us riding together

when I get another bike I am gonna go with a older sports bike either a Suzuki GS650,Honda cb750,Kawasaki kz650 or 750 because older sports bikes like it are really just as fun as a new super sports bike if they are taken care of after having my 1988 Suzuki katana gsx600f and riding my brothers 1999 Suzuki gsxr750 I had more fun on my bike and it was fast enough for me and almost everyone I rode with rode super sports bikes and my sports bike looked a lot like the super sports bikes and I kept up just fine now with the bigger bikes 900,1000,1300,1400 was a different story but the Suzuki gsxr750 the Yamaha r6 and the Kawasaki ninja zx6 also couldn't keep up with the bigger bikes so I laugh at people who try to down a Suzuki katana or a Suzuki GS and I don't know if you know this but the Suzuki GS is the same as a Suzuki katana if you didn't know that and the motors are the same exact motor that comes on a Suzuki gsxr the only difference between them is the Suzuki gsxr is made with more low end power and top end power and they are lighter weight then a Suzuki GS and Suzuki katana and the Kawasaki ninja and a Kawasaki kz is the same way and Honda CBR RR and a Honda cb are the same also so the older sports bikes and the newer super sports bikes all run the same motors the difference between the older sports bikes is they have carbs and the newer bikes now days have fuel injection so they produce more power I found all this information out because I am a fan of bikes and I had a bike the funny thing is my very first bike was a 49cc mini chopper my boss gave me so I would have transportation to and from work I rode it all day every day I rode with a bunch of moped riders one of them worked at the bar with us and I used to get a bunch of compliance from Harley Davison riders and sports bike riders and they always checked it out every Wednesday on bike night and the moped riders hated it because I always beat them I got my wife talked into letting me get another bike or a decent scooter like my good friend has he has a 250 and it looks a rocket from the front end and the back end
