I picked one up this week in Philly. It is absolutely an amazing pedal. I’m blown away by how great it is. I’ll definitely be adding the small trees soon.
Hi there.. this looks cool. I picked up a 'The Small Trees' recently and it has now become indispensable in my recording workflow. Awesome product so I look forward to checking this one out too.
I've just today received the FPT'S from Soundgas after Andertons let me down big time on Saturday. Can honestly say it's the first pedal I've ever had that sounded as good if not better than the demos and then some!!! Well impressed...if only the neighbours shared my joy!!! Big Chopper next methinks 😮
Thanks so much, Steve. So much work went into FPT which I haven't really explained. The topology is far removed from the regular diode-clipping type pedals and there were plenty of points where I thought I was going to have to give up. Comments like this are great because they are tangible evidence that FPT has achieved the goal. thank-you. scx
@@AudioKitchenAmps You should be proud...that intro riff at 4 seconds in is what clinched it for me and soon as I plugged it in I knew I was onto a winner. It's very versatile and extremely amp like but more than anything else Its got It's own thing going on which no amount of superlatives can explain until your in a room with it...well impressed as it's the first bit of gear in a long time that's took me to my guitar happy place and kept me there so hat's off to you fine Sir...keep up the good work 👍
I'm only an intermediate-level guitarist (which tbh is probably giving myself too much credit) but I just picked one of these up and holy smokes, this is probably the best sounding overdrive pedal I've ever used! So far I've only used it with my fender mustang mp90 and blues junior but I will be adding it to my pedalboard tomorrow to see how it sounds with some other pedals.
Fantastic! I was curious how I can incorporate this into my setup to record silent (DI) to my Zoom H6 or through my Interface....and also use that same setup for an amp-less live rig that I'll run out to my PA. I have a few other pedals too like Stereo chorus I'd like to incorporate in the chain.. Any ideas, issues... I was considering the Big Trees also but have the same concerns about it for doing what I'm trying to do. Thanks so much! Killer sounds!!!!
Thanks! IT behaves like a really decent amp when you run pedals into it and like a great drive pedal when you run it BEFORE other pedals. Do you want this to be before or after your other pedals?
@Lee Anderson It’s a ‘72-74 SG Special. I’ve had a few of them - mini humbuckers and super skinny necks. Some had block markers and some dots with binding.
@@AudioKitchenAmps just got one last week, still discovering it. Huge dynamic range, impressive Swiss knife to sculpt your sound. Can’t wait to plug it into a bigger amp than my Vibrochamp! :)

That sounds like an audio kitchen for sure! Great work Steve!
Thanks, Dany :) Much appreciated!

Thanks so much for the kind words and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on FPT :)

@@steveshaw5773 Mate. Thank you. We're buzzing to know you love it so much! Thanks for taking the time to articulate that, here..
Thanks for the pavement riff. Great sounding demo.
What?! Not a Neil Young fan? Ha ha ha. Glad you dug it. Lots of Pavement love at AK!!!
@@AudioKitchenAmps Love Neil Young but a pedal demo featuring Pavement is hard to come by. (Almost typed an amp demo).
@@pillof Yeah, that's fair! The aborted first recording attempt also had a Silver Jews tune on there... Next time..
@@AudioKitchenAmps Right out of the gate with Parquet Courts though.

Thanks so much, man. Soon hopefully!!!

@@AudioKitchenAmps Well, not really sure. I would like to end up in stereo with my stereo chorus or stereo reverb... I know that much for sure.
@@artspiritfineartstudiogall9672 Well, it’ll be twice the price to put FPT after the stereo pedals so….. that may inform your choice! 😅
@@AudioKitchenAmps I guess i was thinking more for getting stereo with the big trees. Is it okay to put pedals after the big trees?
@@artspiritfineartstudiogall9672 Absolutely!!!
This looks tasty!
I'm very pleased! Do let me know what you think!
@@AudioKitchenAmps Hey, it _is_ tasty! :P
@@JoePerkinsMusic :) We are doing our best!!
Oh, hell yes.
I can't remember the name of the track he is playing @2:42 and its one of my favorites and its killing me.
Its Miles Davis - In a Silent Way. THANKS BRAIN!
Looks fab, better get saving 🙂
I compared it to a VERY well respected valve overdrive pedal (not one of mine) I was repairing today, and it REALLY feels good.
Sounds very cool, how does it take a fuzz, similar to a cranked marshall? does it cave it, or still have some headroom? thx!
Depends how hard you drive it. It can stay pretty clean at lower input levels but definitely squishes nicely when you push it.
Sounds great! Which Gibson is that anyone?
Argghhh im so tempted. But am I really buying an amp to justify for the price? Actually this is what I’m looking. Maybe one day.
Hope you do :)
i’d love to see how this fares on bass
YES, PLEASE!!!
hopefully we'll have something together for you on bass by the end of the month!
@@AudioKitchenAmps awesome, i look forward to it!
Here ya go! instagram.com/p/CSelJ0mgJGv/?
Could the out on this be connected to headphones?
Sadly not as it is not a speaker simulated output.. Do you have a DAW?
Very nice indeed. Anyone know the exact model of Gibson SG he's playing here?
70s SG but not sure exactly. Will ask!
That would be ace. Thanks so much!

It sure sounds amazing into a Little Chopper; no surprise there. How does it sound direct with cab sims?

@@AudioKitchenAmps it sounds great to me, too! Thanks for sharing!
This pedal obsesses me. :)

But the question is: can it do what a Klon does? ^^
Ha ha ha. Perhaps not!
The Small Trees sure as heck can!
@@beyondthegong Ha ha ha - Yes, It can!
I thought it was supposed to be a radiohead pedal
Does it do Radiohead tones?
Why do you ask? Ha ha ha. :)
@@AudioKitchenAmps Well... the name might be a giveaway.
Oh no, that Bronco tone just cost me quite a considerable amount of money!
Sorry! (Not sorry) ha ha
