I went to SZ from HK the first time around 1993, then later in 1996, 2000 , etc. This is one mega city that is made up of young migrants, full of energy , hard work and technology. It shows ppl nothing is impossible and you can realize your dreams. The likes of DJI , Huawei ,Tencent , CATL call it home. Now that’s how you build the future in 3 decades. Very impressive China.

I still have a hard time believing that Shenzhen transformed from a fishing village of just under 30,000 people to a major innovative city of 17.79 million people, which is almost half the population of Canada. @@Sebi12248 it's very common in asia. i saw that in Japan, thailand, singapor and such. we also have this in France as exemple, but instead of a woman voice, we got a electronic "bip bip". It's annoying if you'r not used to it, but then you forget about it quickly and easily.
45 years ago it was just a small village. I came to Shenzhen first time 2004 and the development has been huge since then. A fantastic city
