    For anyone interested in the aftermarket accessories to help with dust collection and cable management, please see the Etsy links in my description. I am not affiliated with either of these stores, but am happy to refer my viewers to good quality products.

    thanks - two years + after you published video's, I just ordered my OneFinity Woodworker Pro. I have been planning for it's arrival and will be starting on the base next week using your version as inspiration. Thanks for the insights, maybe I will upgrade to an Elite in a few years too.

    Congratulations - your Onefinity has arrived !! I watched your table build video a few months ago and subscribed then. Now, I get to watch you assemble your machine. My Onefinity Woodworker is in the "testing and packing" stage as of July 25, so it should be here in a week or two. So, I'm checking out everyone's Onefinity build videos getting ready to get mine together. I still have not decided on table "style" nor size yet. My shop is in the basement, so space is at a premium. I'm "leaning" towards a tilt style enclosure. Thanks for the video, Charlie in Central Ohio

      It sure is exciting to have it all come together. The learning curve is pretty steep if you are new to CNCs, but there are a lot of great resrouces out there.
      One tip: as you think of your dimensions for the table, keep in mind that if you choose to use a SuckIt dustboot, it will protrude a few extra inches from the router so make sure you leave ample room for that. My table is 52"x53". Good luck!!

      I actually had the vynil logo made by someone on Etsy. Someone was kind enough to cut out my logo for a pretty nominal fee and ship it to me within a few days. I do plan on carving out my logo as one of my first projects though. Lots to look forward to!

      Really nice set up! I am looking forward to seeing your enclosure video. I just got my onefinity and have not unboxed it yet. They actually forgot to ship my display as well and I received it today. What software are you planning on using? I am leaning towards Vcarve Pro.

      @@Oldcarsrock I have downloaded Fusion 360, which is a part of the Autodesk product line. They have a free version for hobbyist woodworkers. The reason I chose Fusion 360 is because you can do the CAD and CAM in the same program. I don't have enough time in the program yet to recommend it, but that should change in the coming weeks/months.

    That sucks about the display unit missing. Their pretty good about over nighting items from Canada, hopefully it only took (takes) 2 day(s). You could use a extra computer monitor to fire it up and connect it to laptop, once my laptop was connected to mine, I rarely use the actual monitor.

      I had to go to a specialty lumbar yard in my city that supports a lot of the carpenters and cabinet makers in the area. I couldn't find anything wider that 48" at the big box stores. You might try calling around and seeing if any of your local stores carry a 5 ft x 5ft sheet of plywood.

      Great question. I would buy the wireless remote, the SuckIt dustboot, the drag chains, and some cable extensions for both the OneFinity rails and the display monitors. Those would be my core accessories.
      If I could go back in time I would also tell myself not waste my time/money on cheap CNC bits.

      @@joeadams1236 I wouldn’t make it much smaller than mine if you’re looking to enclose it. I have about 3” of total clearance on both sides of my enclosure. I think the smallest you would want to make it is 51”x50”. I modeled my build in sketch up to check for clearances. One thing I will point out is that the dust boot sticks out 2-3” beyond the y axis rails so make sure you account for that too. Good luck!

    My onefinity gets delivered today! Although I have waited to build my table until today! Kicking myself for not having it built!!! What t-track did you use and from??
    Will 4ftx4ft top be big enough?
    Thank you for the video

    • @EigenDesigns
      @EigenDesigns  3 года назад +1

      That's exciting news! Congratulations. For the t-track I used a 4 pack of 48" T-track to make my spoilboard. I personally think 4 rails are enough, but you can add more if you want to. You can also start out with 4 and then add more later if find yourself needing more clamping options. I bought mine from amazon: amzn.to/3CwzEMO
      As far as the dimensions go, 4ftx4ft is going to be very tight. I just went and measured my CNC footprint and the distance between the legs is about 44" x 44", which doesn't account for the rail motors that overhang that footprint. If you are not going to build an enclosure and you plan on mounting your control unit on the underside of the table I think 48"x48" could work, but its going to be tight. These CNCs are surprisingly large for what they are. Also, if you plan on adding/using a dust boot, keep in mind that it will overhang the front edge by a few inches so keep that in mind too.
      Good luck!

    Placing control unit the way you did...
    Emergency stop button is in an awkward position...
    USB ports are difficult to access...

    • @EigenDesigns
      @EigenDesigns  3 года назад +1

      It may look like that now, but I am building an enclosure around the top of the table so I mounted the control unit on the bottom so I still had access to the emergency stop once the enclosure was built. I do agree that its difficult to reach the USB ports, but I have found using wifi to transfer files to the OneFinity is much easier so I don't find myself needing to get to the USB ports often.
