I really appreciate this incredibly informative channel. You are doing a great service attempting to educate people on the realities of animal behaviour. There are so many animal videos online that are shown without context, people see them and then form false beliefs about that animals behaviour. Drives me nuts! I’m in Northern Canada and I once had an argument with a girl from down south who tried to tell me that Moose are cuddly 🙄 I told her to go try and hug one.

Finding this channel at random tonight was a highlight of my week. I don't normally go in for animal-focused channels; I like animals well enough, but I'm neither a dog person nor a cat person... if that makes sense. But this is both entertaining and educational. I'll be watching a lot more of your videos from now on.
I think its very easy to see that Chris has been bit by a radioactive alligator in his childhood. Since then, he gives off radio waves in a frequency only alligators are able to hear and understand. Those make them believe he is one of them and thus they do not attack him. He is constantly telepathically communicating with alligators and grew very fond of their culture and way of thinking. So much actually, that he likes alligators more than humans and by making these videos, he is trying to make the human race think, that alligators aren't the routhless killing machines they actually are. Trust me, I've seen a bunch of movies. I know how violent they actually are. Im pretty sure in at least 10 years, we will all be brainwashed by Chris and be eaten by alligators, because we start believing his lies about alligators not being the killing machines they are. Alligators are going to then overtake our homes, cars and countries with chris as their leader, because he was the one who made this all happen. Now when i think about it... does chris actually like alligators? or is he just using them as his gateway to world leadership?

You don’t have to prove anything to these people, Chris. I’ve watched so much of your videos and I appreciate your effort on keeping on repeating and repeating so much info about what you do and never get tired. These arm chair experts downplay your years of experience, and that’s just really sad. But cheers to all of you guys there! Love the content! --- Well, on the positive note, more information for us who are more than happy to study and learn more things through these claims that these "armchair-experts" hold onto. ---
I'm a certified scuba diver. Most of my dives have been in Hawaii, where the water temperature is in the mid-80s. I wear a full wetsuit every dive minus a hood. I've tried shorties, but I'll get cold by the end of the dive, like blue lips shivering cold when a dive is only 35-60 minutes long depending on depth. I'm thin, so I lose heat easily, even in 85+ degree water. People don't understand how much heat the body loses in warm water for extended periods of time unless they're *cough* fat, I mean naturally insulated.
You can tell the difference in his demeanor with the animals compared to other reptile experts, and the gators’ response to it. Hand-fed from babies alligators in a zoo who react much more aggressively, and you can tell it’s based on the behaviors from the humans interacting with them. As a side note, even with how well-trained Casper is, you can still see Chris always glancing at him to be sure he’s not up to anything nefarious. 😂
To be fair: Zoos usually don't try to train their animals to do certain things unless it makes working with them considerably easier because generally speaking they want their animals to display natural behavior. It is entirely possible to keep an alligator without first getting them accustomed to interacting with humans, so that's what Zoos typically opt to do.
@@darthplagueis13 That’s true. Though it’s not so much tricks as the way they react at feeding time. It seems dangerous not to have some training involved for animals that big, especially if they’re a zoo that occasionally gets them out for educational experiences. 🤷♀️ In zoos that don’t do up close feeding and don’t need to do educational experiences where they’re out of their enclosure, though, it definitely makes sense not to.
I’m also amazed at the range of temperatures that cold-blooded animals are adapted to. With my jumping spider, for example, you would think that she would do better at the higher end of her temperature range, but jumping spiders are actually thought to live longer with the ambient temperature a little on the low end of their ideal range.
Funny how armchair experts think they know more than people with years and years of experience, they can't just be open to learning something, they have to argue. Reptiles can be trainable and learn things, some humans not so much, unfortunately. I love your work.

Back in 1997, I was living in Jamaica for a semester in college and we all went on a tour of the Black River. There were crocs all over this river. We got to a point in the river where the guides pulled over and they said "YOU CAN GO SWIMMING HERE IF YOU LIKE, THE CROCS DON'T COME DOWN HERE." I was like "WTF, do they need a key to get in?" I'm a pretty brave person, but I did not go. All of my classmates did. To this day, I still can't believe this is real. I actually went online a couple of years ago to research it to make sure I wasn't remembering the experience in the wrong way. NOPE. It was real. You still couldn't get me to swim in the same waters as these crocs. This river was murky in many areas.

Chris, love your videos. They are all so informative and well done. As a scuba diver I have swam with sharks on numerous occasions and have Never been attacked. Kind of the same basic principal, we are not the usual food source, and there are millions of sharks around the world and in close proximity to humans whether they know it or not and they could literally feast on us if they choose to do it. Thanks for taking the time to teach the uninformed that these are not mindless killers.
Hey Chris, as I was watching your video (which is sensational and educational might I add), you said that he views you as the alpha. I have two questions. 1) Does he view you as a member of his 'congregation' or family? 2) As you are the alpha of the pack, does Casper get aggressive and try to fight you during mating seasons, or are you the unquestioned leader? Also, sorry if these questions don't make sense, I was just wondering about it whilst watching the video. I hope you have a great day, and continue posting your brilliant content, (they have helped me understand so much about alligators). Love from Australia!!

This video reminded me of Rex from Snake Discovery. They do a lot of cute text edits in their videos, like the animal is weighing in. Rex knows her name, and is especially responsive to Emily. She hatched wild, but was taken as a baby so she's captive-raised. And yet. She has no problem with associating hands or fingers as potential food. Any time we see Emily or Ed having to handle her, or even the logistics of feeding her or cleaning her enclosure, there is a great deal of planning first since she can and sometimes will just lunge as soon as the door opens. I love that Emily and Ed have always been realistic about Rex, despite however playfully they banter to her or how cute or sassy their make her "thoughts" in those text edits. They lack Chris' experience, and only work with the one gator, but their message is still similar. Gators are not pets, and the best you can expect from them is benign tolerance.

Your avatar and your use of the word Sisyphean mesh perfectly. 👍

That's also a contributing factor to ignorance though, there is just so much information available these days it's hard to discern truth from lie.
And even when you do find a reputable source, you can't be sure of how biased they are to a particular truth, that could be more subjective than objective.
If people were more skeptical of the information they consume, the world would be better off for it.

Thank you for making these videos! Having been bitten by an alligator 10 years ago(totally my fault), I have had a bad perception of the species for a while . I have learned a lot about alligators watching your videos and appreciate it very much. I still wouldn't get in the water with them but I have gained a lot of respect for their intelligence and behavior.
This channel is genuine there can’t be no HATE here.
Im 24 years old and have always wanted to work with wildlife and in conservation, having hurt my back a couple years ago i thought that was no longer possible but seeing how comfortable and gentle casper can be gives me hope.
I find it really impressive how well Casper can hear, I didnt know gators could hear so well that they can be called over, even while his head is submerged. Where are a gators ears and how well can they hear?
They hear all the things to be heared
Man I'm just gonna say I absolutely love this type of content where your just chilling with Casper and talking facts
I've always wondered what alligators must think when you carry them lol, must be peculiar for them or even make them feel vulnerable.
His superhero name? Florida man

Well, on the positive note, more information for us who are more than happy to study and learn more things through these claims that these "armchair-experts" hold onto.

In zoos that don’t do up close feeding and don’t need to do educational experiences where they’re out of their enclosure, though, it definitely makes sense not to.
@@russylan Islam is the truth, come to Islam
That is just common sense. Casper is trained, not tame.
@@johnnydeclanbarnes116 wtf are u talking about this is completely irrelevant to her reply lol

Best debunk video ever! ♥️🐊
