literally had tears watching you complete this. Going into the pain cave and coming out on top is always fulfilling. congratulations on this huge accomplishment and super proud of you. love your content
100+ miles in and can still say "oh wow" in appreciation of spectacular scenery . An amazing athlete who is down to earth and doesn't take himself too seriously. Zero ego. Kind, courteous and selfless right to the end. Amazing! Thanks for the awesome documentary.
Hi Sharon thank you for watching, I’m happy you enjoyed this video. Returning to Moab was a blessing, I am so grateful I was able to complete this event again.
Congratulations on completing the Triple Crown and Cocodona!! What an amazing accomplishment! Thanks for taking the rest of us along with your awesome films!!
From start to finish awesome views, incredible beauty, wonderful support and love from Leah, and amazing grit and determination and positive attitude from you, while filming the whole dang thing. Congratulations on your strong running finish! Thank you Wes!
Congratulations Wes!!! What got me was how you thanked the volunteers. I’ve volunteered at 5 here in Florida and we have never been told that by a runner so that really made me smile. But I had tears at the end what a beautiful and amazing journey. So glad I found you’re channel.
Thank you for watching Lara. I am sorry you don’t get thanked when you volunteer at races. You SHOULD BE! I was taught you always thank the volunteers- without them there is no race. Thank you for volunteering and making our sport possible!
@@wplate I actually finished my degree and now volunteer medical and love it. I’m trying to sign up for as many as I can it’s so amazing to see how far the human body can be pushed and still overcome and finish. I see the battered bodies throughout but when you get to the end and you see the smiles, wow.
Congratulations Wes, you're such a nice and sweet guy very appreciative of your wife and the volunteers. We visited Moab for the first time last September. It is now one of my favorite place on earth.
Thank you for being such an inspiration Wes! Your Moab vid from 2019 is what got me hooked on your channel!! I know one day I’ll make it out there with you. Gearing up for my first 100 miler in a few weeks and I can’t wait.
Returning to Moab was special, thanks for coming along for the ride again and watching this one. Good luck at your 100, I’m so excited for you! What 100 are you running?
What an amazing achievement, to complete this race and your triple crown! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. The quality of your filming is brilliant and really showcases the fantastic scenery. But I also love that you show the real, raw nature of ultra-running and how difficult dealing with sleep deprivation and your physical health at the same time. I look forward to seeing what is next for you.
Incredible video! You are an inspirational athlete! And just as incredible to me is the support of your partner and crew chief Leah. Well done you two!
Woah, that is some rough terrain! I have hiked many trails in the Moab area and NONE of them are easy. Ankle turners, pricklers, and a continuous state of dehydration. I can't imagine RUNNING them all CONTINUOUSLY for days on end. Tenacious must be your middle name! LOVE these videos, too!
Congrats Wes - what an accomplishment! So epic to do the triple! My fav bit was when you smiled for a send off photo and then immediately went back to the pain face. Way to preserver!!!
Love watching your films Wes. Its great to see the journey you go through on these epic races. The scenery is amazing, very different to anything we have here in the UK. It's definitely on my bucket list to get over there and run some of these after watching. Keep up the good work 👍
Some people are tougher than nails. Wes and he rest of his comrades in arms are definitely in that category. Congratulations. I guess a good crew boss makes all the difference
Never heard of the MOAB 240 till I head Goggins talk about it on the Modern Wisdom podcast. Wes is so humble, grateful, quiet and positive. A real trooper. What amazing views.
Great video, Congrats. I did exactly the same thing on that long section in the desert. 5 bottles, not nearly enough. ran out with about 7 miles to go, it was brutal.
That’s a tough part of the race. No stop bags until Indian Creek means carrying even more from Amasa Back. All that, plus required gear, plus enough water capacity for the section is a lot to carry.
What an amazing video Wes! Thanks for sharing! Finishing the Triple Crown + Cocodona 250 is pretty badass! BIG CONGRATS MATE!!! So many amazing memories popped up from the race in 2021 watching your 2022 video and those landscapes - can't wait to do the MOAB240 again one day - just stunning And hey you got some different weather this year ;)
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. I’m in the early stages of ultra running and starting to get somewhat obsessed. I’d love to run with you some time, either here in Australia or anywhere. This video motivates me towards the challenge of such a tough race.
I remember being in similar shoes, just learning about this sport and the runners in it. Respect your rest days, they are vital to your training and is a key piece of injury prevention. And have fun. Even when it isn’t fun. 🙌🏼
I agree regarding the rest days. I’ve been an athlete since I was a kid, and I had to learn about over training the hard way. I think it would be even more crucial with something as extreme as ultra running. What I love about this sport is the community aspect. The absolute best runners will take the time to socialise along the way, even during an important race. I love to meet likeminded people such as yourself.
Super inspiring Wes! I feel like I know you somehow through these videos. Your determination and strength is commendable. Hope to meet you in person someday.
What an incredible race and achievement Wes Your mindset is so strong and so inspiring! The beautiful scenery is just breathtaking! Congratulations!🙌🙌🙌
Awesome video Wes, super inspirational as always! Really hoping I can knock this race off of my list some day. Congrats again for finishing the Triple Crown+Cocodona… simply amazing!!

I hope you will do it! After Moab bib pickup this year I met a runner who saw my 2019 Moab video and that inspired him to get ready for Moab to the point where he ran it this year. You can do it too!
Awesome episode! Thanks for sharing. I've been looking at those UltrAspire vest. Which one is that? I assume you like it if that's the one you took to Moab?
In all my races this year I wore a Zygos 4.0. I love this vest. They sell the 5.0 now, but that didn’t work as well for me. I think you can still find 4.0s on Amazon.
