After BA, my father wanted me to try for UPSC but after the first attempt, I decided I could not waste time cramming my head with useless knowledge. So I refused to listen to my father and decided to study MA in English Literature, followed by M.Phil and Phd at JNU. Today I am teaching in a top central university and have a great life. So parents should not put pressure on their children. Let them decide what they want to do with their lives.

That's right, thinkers are a very tiny fraction of the intellectual elite, and they bring a transition in society only if they are freethinkers and skeptics, not state-sponsored academics and apologetics. and The majority of the population is a mass of productive workers who create wealth in society and who indeed run the country. take the example of Bangladesh: was only succeeded when half of its workforce(female population) participated in the economy. because capital doesn't fall from heaven and niether it recreate itself, people have to work.

So if government increase equal opportunity in every field and our society gives respect to every field then this whole problem will get resolve . So it's really important to increase opportunity for every field and do advertisement so that parents and children who were not aware they will get aware of it.

I was a dropper student. I did my 11th, 12th and drop year too from Allen. But still, I wasn't able to clear NEET. Even after working so hard day and night, I don't know why I was not able to score good marks even in tests held in coaching. My teachers lost all hope in not just me but my whole batch. Because, we were in the batch of average students. I still remember teachers coming to our class after every test and telling us that we were good for nothing, we will never be able to do something good with our lives. And it proved to be so. Only 1 or 2 students from my batch of 100 students were able to score more than cut-off marks.I knew I will not be able to do it, I knew I was not good enough. So, I just kept blaming myself. But, eventually I realised that it's just not me, it is the coaching institute, their strategies, their teachers who were at the fault too. At my centre in Indore, students would bribe one of the staff members to get the question paper of tests on every Sunday. So, my friends, you all have the capabilities to do something great with your lives, you all can be happy and be proud of yourselves even if you are not the topper. I am proud of each one of you for trying and giving your best.
What am I doing now you may ask ? I am neither an IITian nor I study in AIIMS, I am pursuing my bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. And next year, after completing this course, I will be going to USA for M.S and PhD. And, I am very happy from where I am now.

I took Science stream in 11th grade and my parents asked me around 100 times if I'm sure about it and if I really wanted to choose Science. Now that the session is over I get why they did that. Though I opted for PCB of my own will, my marks were the worst. For the first time in my life, I scored 4/20(I failed) for the first time in my life! I felt like a failure and my mental health just worsened. However, during this session break, I worked on my mental health but honestly 11th grade was like a nightmare to me, just because of my marks. Teachers(coaching) would say marks don't matter but after every test, they would give a lecture as to why marks are the only thing that matters to living a life.
But thankfully, my parents have my back. My mom said that I can attempt NEET one more time after the 12th if I want to.

I was a bright student till 10th my percentage was between 80-90 percent ....after coming to 11th there was no proper classes or teachers who can really guide and let us help achieve more (as I belong to arunachal Pradesh) but somehow I scored 70%(which is very saddening) but then too i got 2nd rank between those 45 students in my class ....leave that all so now I went to 12th and scored 72% but i decided to take a drop and right now when NEET is just 1 month away i am just fed of all these and felt that I was never interested in medical and just got influenced by some of the people out there (basically i wanted to something else)
And the point is my parents never forced me to anything or choose Medical .....they always said yes to everything what I wanted to do....
When i was frustrated in mid drop year I told my parents I can't do this i want to change my career plans....i was hell scared that they'll scold me but they believed in me and said don't worry you come home and decide .....1 saal hi gya hai baaki or kuch nahi....sab theek hojayega. ....and i am truly blessed to have such parents

When I was preparing for NEET in Allen Kota, one day me & my mom went to a mall and as we were walking by, a guy from an online coaching named Toppr caught us and said just listen to us once. At first we denied but he insisted and said just 5 min. So we agreed. Then we went inside the room and a man was trying to brainwash my mom with his dirty strategies. She got really confused at that point. He then asked me solve a few questions. Then asked me how "good" I scored in previous NEET exam & class 12th. When I replied in negative for both of em one by one... He suddenly got furious and screamed at me like I committed a crime.
We were really staring at him in shock. So then he controlled himself and started brainwashing my mom yet again. I was really frustrated till then cuz he wasted almost 45 min of ours just doing his sh*t. Still he wasn't convinced.
I was a very introverted kid back then, so I didn't say anything wrong.. But on the inside I was actually mad at him. I told my mom let's leave. She made an excuse and finally we left after wasting an hour of our quality time. I can never forget the Worst Kota Journey & The Worst People I met over there, ever in my life!!!

Everyone is talking about ALLEN FITJEE and all but pls do remember Sri Chaitanya, Narayana…these institutions are also not that far. I’ve studied there for 2 years i. e 11-12, we called these schools as corporate schools because yes they’re and infact the administration also kept mentioning that they should be called a corporate school where there’s a said rule that “ toppers can cope up with anything and the whole attention will be going to them meanwhile mediocre students like me and many more out there should struggle as much they can but with no or little help”, I won’t say that I did my due diligence, yes I slept during lectures sometimes and sometimes I bunked class but the point to be understood is why I did that and there are many out there…the reason being when your clas start from 6:00 in the morning continuing upto 10:30 in the night and there just mere 3 and a half hours break…what did you expect us to do…and the worst part is teachers did create a vibe that if you’re not clearing NEET AND JEE you’re kinda fucked and pls do remember you’d have to come back there only and study along junior batches with shame!!! Tbh I’m not able to describe it properly because it’s all filled with mixed emotions…there was a time in my 12 th grade where I started to have suicidal thoughts just because all these…it really felt like the competitive exams are the end of the world…well you people out there like me will relate…kabhi Sri Chaitanya, Narayana inn se baat karke dekhna ek alag hi narak ke baare mein pata chal jayega aaplogon ko.

As a Career Counsellor I thank you to make this video Aditya. Whatever is shown in this video is absolutely true. Even most of the parents who approach me for their kid's counselling force/ try to influence me to nudge their kids to pursue Engineering or Medical. But it doesn't work this way, parents & students must understand the interest, personality & aptitude before selecting subjects. As a professional Career Counsellor I administer the psychometric test to gauge the interest, personality & aptitude of a student followed by an intensive counselling session & open discussion. This is how it must be done. When one pursues career from their high interest area they don't need to be pushed all the time, in fact they are self motivated & above all happy. They most likely to achieve success. As a Counsellor I recommend to introspect the interest & personality first before opting a certain career choice. You can do it on your own with the help of your friends & family members or you can always go to a professional Career Counsellor.

None of what we learn in school helps us in adulting in this society. Having studied in schools across the globe even being fortunate enough to have that exposure easily our talent and skill get buried when we chose india as home. My heart weeps for all the students and parents being fooled into all this charade. Truly heartbreaking. Yeah in many schools high scorers get no restriction on the amount of holidays but average students do... but yeah it can be justified by the fact that average students may not be disciplined and need assistance while most of the toppers know how to be consistent and study...

Seeing my percentage in class 10th, my parents made me take Maths stream even though they knew that my interest was in Arts. After studying Maths stream for one year, I convinced my parents and took Arts in class 12th. 😢

Well, I'm a doctor now. Cracked neet back in 2018. I never joined any coaching institutes cause all my teachers were private and i did self study as well. When you compare, cost of keeping private teachers who would exclusively teach you for individual subjects is way less than joining coaching institutes.

very true . I WOULD LIKE TO ADD MY STORY
i went to kota in 2011 after my 12th board results, i joined allen for medical preparation. seriously i found myself in rat race . i didn't liked the over burden of studies, i didn't studied that year and the year passed by , again i went to kota in 2012 again joined allen this time in achivers batch, i didn't studied again 😅 .. finally i sat 1 year in my home ; cut off from the world i cracked neet in my 3rd attempt. my score was not high enough for getting me seat in all India but i got seat in state medical college. i am a doctor now preparing for my post graduation. I will suggest students who are preparing for neet . please if you have the basic idea 💡 and study notes please avoid going to these coaching institutes i am a living example.and many of my batchmates in college didn't go to any institutes rather they self studied at home📚. i wish all of the students good luck and keep learning 🤞 🙏

I can understand & feel each & every line brother without going Kota! That's why I didn't go there in my 11th back in 2018 ! But I shouldn't have gone to Patna also as there was casteism prevailing there in hostel & I was abused & targeted because of coming from a forward Community of Bihar
