Yeah, the split leg entry helps me get a little bit lower. However, that's not to say a smaller fighter couldn't use the split leg version also...if you're fighting taller people, give it a try.
Cheers Rex. Yeah, when I was a younger, -81kg fighter, I preferred O-Goshi, but since I've moved up to -100kg, I find myself using Uki-Goshi more often to prevent getting blocked out or countered backwards an all...got to find what suits your body and style!

Great vid. I’ll have to try the split hip as I’m old, fat, and lack the speed to get all the way in before they block or counter.
