I hope that this will be the start of a "Year in the Royal Family" like we have in Scandinavia. I watch both the Norwegian, Swedish and Danish versions, but I prefer the Norwegian. The tone is light and playful and the balance between interview and footage from public appearances are very good ❤
Camilla never wanted to be in the spotlight but she has done brilliantly. She had a broken toe on the day and a bad back but you wouldn't have known and I LOVED her dress !!!
The coronation of his majesty King Charles III is one of the biggest events ever recorded in the 21st century. Days before that, i saw some clips online of the military men who would take part in the coronation procession rehearsing through the streets of London in the midnight. Yes I should have been more specific. The guy who was the last groom of the stool bit it in 1913. I have no idea when they stopped actually tending to their back ends. I'm sure it was probably long ago but the position/title remained.@@EF5Winds
@@EF5Winds I don't make the rules. The Groom of the Stool started in 1455 and was the most intimate of an English monarch's courtiers, responsible for assisting the king in excretion and hygiene. I am sure that somewhere between 1455 and 1910 they stopped wiping their rear ends and let them do it themselves although the groom of the stool was in later years responsible for other duties besides that. This whole thing was because I was trying to be funny and call him a brownnoser. I epically failed.
I REALLY want to see this documentary but I'm in Ireland and have never even been able to watch the "Christmas Together" events that Catherine has done. At least none of it in full.
