I like that we're getting more whovians on youtube that grew up on the Moffat era rather than the Davies era. It's a really nice new range of perspectives to have. It's also nice as it means Smith's doctor is getting his flowers again.
the first time i properly watched the show was actually with jodie’s doctor, although i think my parents showed me a 12th doctor episode once to see if i liked it, but i can’t remember what happened in it at all. i also had a couple 12th doctor magazines (and saw him pop up in the beano once as plain old peter capaldi. i still have that!) i was born while david tennant was the doctor, but i was still a baby then so that hardly counts
I'm a Boomer who remembers watching old Tom Baker reruns on PBS in the late '70's- '80's! So Tom will always be nearest my heart although I loved many of his successors as well. David Tennant, Ncuti Gatwa and Peter Capaldi were/are particular favorites of mine. I was also very impressed with Matt Smith, who grew up NOT watching the show, but once he got the role he took a crash court in Whovian history and did an amazing job portraying the character. Chris Eccleston also rocked.
@@hollyvanwye9294 Adding onto this, I’d argue there has never been a bad Doctor. Sure, some arguably do a better job than others, but if I were to grade them on their performances(or put them on a tier list, for the kids), nobody would get below a B.
The Eleventh Hour. Hands down. People forget how huge a risk it was to move on from Davies and Tennant. Rather than cling onto that, they completely revamped everything and yet it’s arguably the most confident debut out of all of them.
Honestly Matt Smith hits the ground running and effectively where his first episode to me establishes him as the doctor and im on board right away. Only the Christopher Eccleston makes me believe quite quickly hes the doctor but in a different way to Matt. Tennant, Capaldi, Whitaker and Gatwa all took me longer to get there with them with some longer than others but Matt Smith won me over almost immediately and solidified by the end of his first episode
I think Smith is overall my least favourite of the modern doctors (except the obvious. He's great in his own right don't get me wrong, it's just a personal preference thing, and he kind of got flanderised over the course of his run) but 11th hour is like objectively the best introduction.
Great video - I have a completely different take on Deep Breath. I feel like it’s a great tone shift from the more colourful boffin 11 era, to the more sepia Victorian 12. I love the structure of the episode too, the first 30 minutes feel like the prequel to the Dr who story, which justifies the length to me. I think there’s three very important moments that signal the change to the show. The doctor straight up says there’s no God to the clockwork man, he abandons Clara, and then of course he’d never abandon her but that face ripping grotesque reveal is a sharp difference to fish finger and custard. You do make a great point about the paternoster gang. I’m not saying Deep Breath tops my personal list, but I’m a defender of the episode. It’s been creeping up my favourites over time
@@TheMultiPickle that’s a really cool take on the episode. Those moments help to signal that we’re out of the fairy tale era of the Eleventh Doctor and establish a much more dangerous universe. Theres a lot that works in Deep Breath but it didn’t quite click for me on this rewatch.
Deep breath is kind of my favourite debut. I just love capaldi's embodiment of the character and the fact that he just ups and wanders off part way through
I truly adore Deep Breath. The tone and mood of the episode is just intoxicating to me. Thrilling, funny, dark, perfect. The titular “deep breath” sequences in the clockwork dungeon are filmed unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Everything getting more frosted and blurry the longer Clara holds her breath - perfection. The shot of the Clockwork Man impaled on the church is so darkly beautiful and hits me very hard. And 11 showing up to plead to audience to give 12 a shot gives me chills every time. 12’s end speech is also just brilliantly delivered. Paternoster gang is brilliant as per usual. I can normally find problems with the earlier 12 episodes, but I really can’t find any faults with the debut. It’s just brilliant. And given I have such incredible things to say about Deep Breath, imagine my feelings towards Rose and The Eleventh Hour, which I actually prefer!
I see a lot of 10 in 11 in the 11th hour. He's "still cooking" and there are several moments where he acts like 10. And finally becoming himself in the end.
15:50 American fan here, the first time I ever heard of Doctor who was during Matt’s era, and despite not becoming a fan until recently, he’s my favorite because he was who I saw as the Doctor. Even when I didn’t know what regeneration was, and was confused about how “the guy in the brown suit” (10) was the same person, and even more confused when “the old guy” (12) was apparently ALSO the same person and “the guy in the bowtie” wasn’t the doctor anymore
I rewatched the eleventh hour after some of the 60th specials with my brother and he totally agrees its one of the best doctor introductions of all time. I think it does so many great things, hope to see it get topped eventually one day though
There’s a reason it’s considered the safe and popular option; it’s just genuinely a great story and fulfills its role pretty flawlessly. Safe and popular don’t necessarily have to mean boring or incorrect
The Eleventh Hour is my favourite episode/story of Doctor Who, full stop. Naturally it follows that it's my favourite first story for a Doctor and I've seen them all go out live from the Fifth Doctor's onwards (and have seen the others since). As a fan since the early 1980s, there's just something extra special about the Smith era, especially with Gillan and Darvill, and The Eleventh Hour captures that magic immediately.
@@AdamPurcell Oh wow! That’s a hell of an achievement seeing most the post-regeneration episodes live. I can definitely see the appeal of the Smith era to a fan of Davison; the younger Doctor, the family dynamic on the TARDIS, Steven Moffat even once wrote that Peter Davison was his favourite of the Classic Doctors.
I would rank them in this order: 1.Eleventh Hour 2.Rose 3.Deep breath 4. Christmas Invasion 5.The woman who fell to earth 6.The church in ruby road 7.The Star Beast
@@atharvadeshpande6907 they are both very close for me but I think rose is better mainly because I like series 1 a lot due to the characters but I do also love series 8 which I think is criminally underrated
Capaldi actually got me into watching Doctor Who (though I had watched The Eleventh Hour out of curiosity years before, b/c I was a BBC Sherlock fan and Moffat was doing both shows). But after going back and watching previous Doctors, Nine cemented himself as my favorite (and still is to this day).
Easily The Eleventh Hour for me. For me it is the quintessential "New Doctor" episode AND the perfect feel for a series opener in general. A great jumping on point too. Even though in terms of story they're very different, it gives me a very similar "feel" to Spearhead from Space, but obviously more modern, and with undertones of that magical fairytale vibe that would go on to define series 5.
I like the sense of unease Deep breath, creates around the Doctor. All the whimsy and optimism of the previous era is shattered and the Doctor suddenly feels more alien and harder to relate to. As Vastra says, the mask has slipped and the change is intentionally uneasy, but there's just enough silliness and charm to remind us that it's the same time lord. I think the title is especially apt, signalling to the audience to get ready to take the plunge, and to wait and see how this new era plays out. I do agree that it's not a great jumping on point, I feel 12's run works much better in the context of those that came before. That being said, I think the Eleventh hour is the best series opener, and possibly even the best jumping on point.
@20:00 nah for me from the Get-go the "Deep Breath" episode was amazing! Just can't get over the whole depth of Capaldi'Ms work in it. He almost literally does everything he'll do in the future in micro-moments in this... are we watching the same episode? I've been reqwatching "Deep breath" since the days when the "screeners" came out in black & white without effects, so i knew the episode when the first broadcast aired and it was amazing... maybe you need to see the screeners to "get" that he plays almost everything. The way he acts with the hobo'S coat in the dinner with clara ....
Deep Breath is always a story I really struggle with I find it to be an ok 45 minute episode stuffed full of insubstantial nonsense to pad out the run time and The 12th Doctor is an odd one for me flashes and moments of brilliance followed by some very strange character choices, I know people love but and that's great but just never quite came together for me, even though I have come around on the stories. I really like The Women Who Fell to Earth it hits the ground running and does really stop and complete breath of fresh air a nice simple adventure to show of Jodie, great stuff. The start of era that really got me back on board with the show. I really found Grace's death and funeral very effecting when last watched it.
I would rank the opening episodes as: 1. Eleventh Hour 2. The Church On Ruby Road 3. The Woman Who Fell To Earth 4. Rose 5. The Christmas Invasion 6. Deep Breath
The elevemth hour... Once Amys theme plays and the camera pans past the pinwheels and swing set and into the house and we hear the girl say "Dear Santa" ... I. Was. Hooked! ... The entire episode felt cinimatic .. it was art and not just television. The apple scene with the slow mo and the lense flair... And the Rory with the cemera phone scene with the photographic movement ... If someone told me "Ill only watch one episode period then never watch it again" this would be the episode. It is not only my favorite debut but my favorite episode.
Nine was my first Doctor, but about 8 years late. I started watching in 2013 when it was on Netflix, just in time for the 50th! Interestingly enough, I got hooked on the show through middle school band. The teacher showed us some parts of the Doctor Who proms on RUclips, I thought it looked cool and the music was amazing, and my life changed forever
@@kaitlynreynolds5192 Love this story. Always nice to hear a slightly different way into Doctor Who. I think the show may have missed out on a lot of viewers when it left Netflix.
I really enjoyed this video. You have very positive and objective take on each of the Doctors’ debuts. I’m also glad you have a quick mention to “The Pilot”; I recently rewatched and I felt it was such a good episode to introduce someone to Doctor Who, as well as Capaldi as a fully fleshed out character. (It’s also very refreshing to come across someone who shares my opinion on David Tennant in relation to this series).
Some great analysis here for each of these stories (even though there are a few points I'd personally disagree with, you articulate all of your thoughts really well, and give incredibly fair readings of each episode). I'd genuinely love to read your dissertation on the Series 5 seen through that fairytale lens - sounds really interesting!
1. Matt Smith 2. Peter Capaldi 3. Christopher Eccleston 4. Ncuti Gatwa 5. Jodie Whittaker 6. David Tennant (he esentially appears only on the third act).
SO happy The Eleventh Hour made the top spot! It was my first episode I ever saw. Not only is the best introduction for my favorite Doctor, but it might be my favorite episode of Doctor Who! 🙌💙💙
My own picks would be: 1. The Christmas Invasion. An epic story in its own right as well as a marvelous introduction to the 10th Doctor. 2. Rose. A brilliant reboot for the series! Everyone shone. 3. The Eleventh Hour. I agree, this had a fairytale motif and was wonderfully done. 4. The Star Beast. Based on an old Who comic, lots of fun, and what a novel way to reintroduce David Tennant & Catherine Tate! 5. The Church on Ruby Road. Another fairytale that really worked, and Ncuti was a delight! 6. The Woman Who Fell To Earth. Almost totally devoid of humor and to me, it just fell flat. Giving Jodie so many companions was also a mistake, IMHO, because it stole attention from the Doctor herself who should have been center stage throughout. 7. Deep Breath. I loved Capaldi but not his premier episode. The ending, as you say, was ok and almost redeemed the entire episode, but not quite.
Even if not every episode was a classic I always have massive respect for rtd and Steven moffat as they both had to pull off what seemed impossible at the time, rtd had to prove to everyone that doctor who (which at the time was considered an embarrassing relic that was seen as complete joke by nearly everyone) was not dead and could work in a modern format then he left and Steven moffat had to convince everyone that doctor who could survive without David tennant and rtd
@27:15 - when Capaldi gives energy to Davros , he says : "a future regeneratio nmuight be shorter" . YEAH. Then later Jodie "Those legds used to be longer"!!! This is a video essay I've been working on for a while XD return with ointerest of quotes in DW.
The thing which really doesn't work for me with Deep Breath is that Clara is the companion it's written for. Of all the modern Who companions it makes the least sense for her to be the one upset by regeneration and feeling that it isn't the real doctor, or worrying about his age - because literally two episodes earlier she met two of his previous regenerations, and was absolutely wonderful in how she spoke to the War Doctor (no ageism there!). One episode before that she went into the Doctor's timestream and met 11 different versions of him. It's like she completely forgets all of her history and character development just because it fits the plot of the episode, and it makes her very hard to like.
I think The Eleventh Hour and Deep Breath are the gold standard, but Spearhead from Space is also up there. I don’t think Rose or The Christmas Invasion do that good a job with introducing their Doctors.
Matt Smith for me nails it in his first episode and made me believe he was the doctor in his first episode. I had been watching since it came back and Eccleston for me is in second place but even his version i wasnt sold on right away. If i had to rank them 1st Matt Smith 2nd Christopher Eccleston 3rd Peter Capaldi 4th Jodie Whittaker 5th David Tennant 6th Ncuti Gatwa I put Tennant quite low cause in his first episode he really doesnt do anything for the majority episode when every other doctor is quite active in their first appearance. Whittaker's first episode was probably one of her best and i like it more than the Christmas Invasion (Sue me). Peter Capaldi's first episode i watched again recently and hes very good in the episode and quite manic but he didnt win me over immediately but i do need to watch his run again since his first two series i was in a bad place but his first episode hes quite good
The answer for me is The Eleventh Hour. If I had to rank them from best to worst it would probably be Eleventh Hour, Deep Breath, Church on Ruby Road, Woman Who Fell To Earth, Star Beast, Rose, Christmas Invasion. Those last 5 are all very similar in terms of quality for me.
My problem with the season of Jodie is she felt flat like there was something missing. Her delivery wasn't there for me and her companions had little to no development and they would barely react to anything and their characteristics and behaviors along with the doctors were extremely inconsistent the whole season.
@@robo3007 The Eleventh Hour definitely owes a debt to The Girl in the Fireplace although they both draw on the central friendship in Tom’s Midnight Garden. I see the Smith and Jones similarities with the hospital setting and everything.
@TBowenMedia With Smith and Jones I was comparing it more to the bit at the end where the law enforcement species are looking for an alien criminal and the Doctor tricks the criminal into using him as a disguise not realising that he's an alien
I haven't watched any of the new Doctor Who and I have no plans to, I'm actually new to Dr. Who and I started watching Tom Baker's doctor and I love it, and after seeing how much people dislike the new show I don't want to ruin the old, thinking to myself, what's the point if this is how it's going to end up.
@@Tracy_LLC I’d still give the revived series a shot. It continues the continuity and overall spirit of the original series just for new audiences. Each Doctor has been great and is someone’s favourite. And as for people not liking it, it comes in waves. Like I say in the video, Peter Capaldi’s era was polarising and unpopular when it was airing but is now seen as a golden age.
@@wispa1a Since when is constructive criticism propaganda, I haven't watched new who but I have seen clips and episode plots broken down. I have a lot of classic to watch first, but who knows what the future will bring.
I didn't like the 16th doctor at first because of how forced his joyous nature felt but then you get the moments where it instantly vanishes and he gets dark which makes me think that yeah the joy is forced for a reason which gave me a new perspective even if it's just my own but I enjoyed watching it more after I came up with that theory. Ruby is too Mary sue. She's good at everything. There's no conflict between her and the doctor. They don't grow from their differences because there aren't any. She's a really boring companion to me. I liked the start of her birth story but they didn't do anything with that other than string us along. And the doctor needs to stop crying every two seconds. You can't have an emotional scene leave a big impact if you're emotional every five minutes. It just doesn't work. I like him apart from those critiques.
I’d argue that her era isn’t particularly bad. Most of it is just okay, with a few gems and a few more stinkers, and that looks like a downgrade from the highs of the preceding series.
I genuinely can't understand the initial dislike of Capaldi. I have formed a love of the later Matt Smith stuff, but at the time I kind of gave up on the show. I was immediately drawn back in with deep breath, it is still one of my favourite episodes
I agree with your number one pick. The Eleventh Hour was pure magic. In fact, I think season 5 is the best single season of Doctor Who in the entire run of the show. ❤ Tom (Typo corrected) Baker was my introductory Doctor. So nice to see his episode in second position!
@@DrWhoFanJ you got me. Tomb of the Cyberman is indeed the first episode of the 5th season of classic Doctor Who. Hope that provides the validation you were seeking. However, if you do a basic google search “what is the first episode of season 5 of Doctor Who”, the answer you will receive is The Eleventh Hour. This is of course due to the renumbering of seasons when Doctor Who relaunched in 2005. I was referring to new Who, not Classic Who. They started renumbering yet again with Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor, so you will have a continuing source of confusion to correct on the internet. Have fun!
Haven’t watched yet, but, John Hurt, he was the only surprise, and that’s literally all I want, to not know who the next actor is before they appear on screen

The Church on Ruby Road 7. Deep Breath Though honestly only the first two are episodes I truly love (The Eleventh Hour is near perfection)
@21:00 It made me laugh that you mentioned Matt's appearance in the episode ~40 seconds after showing a clip of Matt's first cameo in the episode (@20:21) - I was half expecting you to mention how they literally showed Capaldi taking off Smith's face.
Let me introduce myself first I totally agree that the 11th hour is the finest new Doctor Who episode. The very first Doctor Who episode I saw was the last 10 minutes the first doctor turning into the second doctor so I knew this was an important part Of the show. Matt Smith is the finest introductory episode but I also like the new concept of the bigeneration with ncuti gatwa

The Eleventh Hour is still my favorite Episode 1 out of any series done in New Who so far. It would have to be Matt Smith. As for Classic Who, I loved how Jon Pertwee’s Doctor and set of circumstances were set up.

A theory i once heard that i always thought would be interesting is the reason 12 is so different for awhile is because he had just lived a long life trapped in a village. 12 did say immortality is watching everyone else die.
about the BEST debut ? Well Ncuti Gatwa was pretty good, Peter Capaldi is godly. David Tennant was fun, Eccleston a gem, Matt Smith might be GoaT to some. But old Who? I love Colin Baker yet the beginning im not sure. Thje Two doctors is my favorite i think. Slow burn!!! Capaldi/Eccleston/Smith ? Ncuti closer? David too... soooo tough to say but CAPALDI! Doctor RUTH! The renegade fugitive Doctor... that might be top 3 too
@22:42 - Jodie'.s era... Zelin was amazing, the dark episode worked. The Frog friend should have returned... I hope when jodie returns the end twist if the frog universe helping the DoctorS in that multi doctor story cuz of jodie. Listening to her seasons and WATCHNG the good moments, going about for the rest , helps getting more of the series feel and grow on Jodie, i enjoy her more now, even if she is not my fave. Day of the Doctor honestly convinced me that Billie Piper could have played the Doctor in an alternate universe. Honestly if she played the Doctor in the future I would like it, even though it would be weird
11 was mine and it's really great as the best introduction for the show, tied second is 2's and 3's!!! I have seen 1's *Part 1*, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15's. I will get to the others I haven't seen. But something does it for me for Power of the Daleks, Spearhead and 11th Hour!!! More than Ever other even the ones I haven't seen.
My favourite Doctor is the 12th, but his debut was not a classic. I would rank it higher than here, but it wouldn’t be way up there. Similar to that the 7th Doctor is my second favourite Classic Doctor (3rd is my favourite), but his debut wasn’t great. Robot is fun, but it feels like a 3rd Doctor story with a new Doctor tacked on. It’s a good episode, but I’d rank it lower. However I agree completely on the #1 slot here. The Eleventh Hour is a great episode in and of itself. And a great intro. Smith WAS the Doctor after this.

Church on Ruby Road 4. Woman Who Fell to Earth 5. Eleventh Hour 6. Christmas Invation 7. They never got their own tv run. Plus, Hurt shows up for one episode at the end of his life, and Martin is the Doctor in name only, given she’s a very different character who our Doctor doesn’t even remember being.
I enjoyed it but I mainly wanted to see bits of things I'd missed since even I was not alive for all of them. Pity about Troughton but I feel compelled we've learned a lesson that throwing away footage of a lot of stuff is generally a bad idea.
1. Eleventh Hour 2. Christmas Invasion 3. Deep Breath 4. Rose They're all good I haven't seen: The Women Who fell to Earth The Star Beast The Church on Ruby Road
@@minecraftdude1338 I would definitely recommend checking all three out. Ruby Road and Woman Who Fell to Earth in particularly are nice jumping on points for new viewers.
Honestly I can't like The Eleventh Hour as that much in any way I like other Doctor introductions. I enjoy that just like any other Doctor who regenerated he kept the clothing and screwdriver from the previous one, plus it was set in a fairly interesting place, but I just can't like the atmosphere. While we see lots of people like that old granny and Jeff, and many others around the streets, we never see them anymore and it feels like a waste of characters that were used for something special but may never come back (like the Doctor leaving the responsibilities with Jeff and his laptop after he leaves). While I also like Amy and we see Rory for the first time, the fact that they're still "cooking", even though they feel natural, is a change that I just don't like. The 2010's era also lost the previous lightning effects from the 2000's which im extremely fond of and that creates somewhat confort when im watching. I'd say that my favourite introduction certainly is Deep Breath, because it has comedy, seriousness, tension, surprise, tragedy, heroism and some passion afterall. Although series 8 has its "flaws", I could still enjoy it while I rewatched again and again all the Capaldi's era, specially with an introduction that felt so strong to me. Capaldi, who I also hated when he was cast as the Doctor, nowadays he's my first pick. His series and his introduction are my first choice when I want something more meaningfull and real. At second, I'd always pick Rose, followed by Tennant's introduction whenever I wanted fun, actual entertainment, cool people and nostalgia from my times atmosphere.

@@Venemofthe888idk how Tennat took you a while to appreciate him his whole introduction with sycorax gave inspiration to 11 encounter with the atraxi
@@swampfire9382 I think its that while he's good I just needed a bit more after the Christmas invasion
@@Venemofthe888 I see series 2 was slow compared to series 1 and 5 but it’s much better than series 8
I think Smith is overall my least favourite of the modern doctors (except the obvious. He's great in his own right don't get me wrong, it's just a personal preference thing, and he kind of got flanderised over the course of his run) but 11th hour is like objectively the best introduction.
Fish fingers and custard instantly became as iconic in Who-lore as Tom Baker’s jelly babies.
@@TBowenMedia different strokes for different folks!
Wholeheartedly agreed I LOVE deep breath, my personal favourite debut

13:54, Tom Hopper who plays Luther on The Umbrella Academy was also in The Eleventh Hour.
@@aletcetera9883 oh yeah! I really should’ve mentioned him.
@@TBowenMedia I only realized it when I saw him behind Matt Smith in your video 😅.
The long wait has definitely paid off! This is a really good video, please keep making more great content.
Another great video Tom!
I would rank the opening episodes as:
1. Eleventh Hour
2. The Church On Ruby Road
3. The Woman Who Fell To Earth
4. Rose
5. The Christmas Invasion
6. Deep Breath
10th Doctor has the best introduction on my taste.
Matt was my first doctor, he will always be my favorite. Thanks to his doctor I discovered a life long love for the greatest tv show I’ve ever watched
I absolutely agree that The Eleventh Hour is the best, also biased by it being my first proper story when I first became a fan, lol!
I started watching in the Tom Baker era and Matt is my favorite.
The Eleventh Hour is not only the best debut, it is in the top 10 of all episodes.
I think nine has the best introduction but eleven the best first episode
The elevemth hour... Once Amys theme plays and the camera pans past the pinwheels and swing set and into the house and we hear the girl say "Dear Santa" ... I. Was. Hooked! ... The entire episode felt cinimatic .. it was art and not just television. The apple scene with the slow mo and the lense flair... And the Rory with the cemera phone scene with the photographic movement ... If someone told me "Ill only watch one episode period then never watch it again" this would be the episode. It is not only my favorite debut but my favorite episode.
It's 11 simple as that, I prefer 12 he's ma boi but series opener/ intro to new doc it's 11 plain and simple
Fish Fingers and Custard!
I like the added scene in Ruby Road but it is interesting to consider the shape of the story without it!
1. Matt Smith
2. Peter Capaldi
3. Christopher Eccleston
4. Ncuti Gatwa
5. Jodie Whittaker
6. David Tennant (he esentially appears only on the third act).
SO happy The Eleventh Hour made the top spot! It was my first episode I ever saw. Not only is the best introduction for my favorite Doctor, but it might be my favorite episode of Doctor Who! 🙌💙💙
My own picks would be:
Peter capaldi easy. He came in from the vanger that is "the day of the doctor" as the 11th said 'this ones gona be a whooper!'

1st Matt Smith
2nd Christopher Eccleston
3rd Peter Capaldi
4th Jodie Whittaker
5th David Tennant
6th Ncuti Gatwa
I put Tennant quite low cause in his first episode he really doesnt do anything for the majority episode when every other doctor is quite active in their first appearance. Whittaker's first episode was probably one of her best and i like it more than the Christmas Invasion (Sue me). Peter Capaldi's first episode i watched again recently and hes very good in the episode and quite manic but he didnt win me over immediately but i do need to watch his run again since his first two series i was in a bad place but his first episode hes quite good
@DrWhoFanJ I'm aware of this
I liked the first bit of the Jodie’s debut, and I kept watching, but at times it became such a chore I eventually fell off
The answer for me is The Eleventh Hour.
25:33 Ryan and Yaz are both supposed to be 19. You’d think they’d cast actors a little younger than mid-30s to match that.
I think that “The Eleventh Hour” would come in third place for me, and that the best would be “The Church on Ruby Road”
@@archiephillips800 That’s interesting. I really liked Ruby Road and I’m happy to see it’s already became a favourite for some people
I agree. In my opinion The Eleventh Hour is too derivative of other episodes like "The Girl in the Fireplace" and "Smith and Jones".
@@TBowenMedia Ha, how ironic! I guess some people really just don't know how good we have it...until it's gone.
I still say that Jodie Whittaker was well cast with a poor script. There is 4 good episodes from her, maybe 3 and FLUX
I agree, she's an awesome actor let down by stories and silly plots.
Jodie did the best she could with the substandard material she was often given to play.

The Star Beast
The Church on Ruby Road
Certainly no one since Tennant's first run. Probably Eccleston.
