The fact that they teach them to reverse through the back window makes me sick. European driving school teaches you to only use your 3 mirrors and only if absolutely necessary can you use your back window. And once you get in a van without back windows.. what will you do then? LEARN WITH YOUR MIRRORS PLEASE!
i expected a comment like this because same, i always was told to use the mirrors what i also dont know is why? why do you have to go backwards fast ? i mean all situations in real traffic when you have to go backwards you do slowly instead of racing
Incorrect. Went to a driving school last year in Germany. You are explicitly told to not _only_ use the mirrors to avoid blind spots. You will fail your driving exam if you don't double-check by looking over your shoulder.
Good luck reversing a bus looking rearwards. Also do it a lot and mess up your back. You have mirrors. With mirrors and rear camera (just like the third mirror in a car) you can easily reverse at 20km/h (not more because the engine redlines....)
@@ShimonTzidkiahuYossef being a lorry driver for the last 6 years I can completely agree with this. That's the reason i did bring out that you don't always have the third mirror or a reverse camera. Nor do you always have the possibility to look over your shoulder
if 12 is a reference to straight then so is 6, it’s dumb failing him for that. The whole “look out the back window” advice is dumb, you’ve got 3 mirrors for that. How will you reverse with large cargo or with a van without back windows??
In Malaysia, we were taught to use our 3 mirrors when reversing or reverse parking. It is so effective that I reverse park 90% of the time in all my 28 years of driving without hitting a single thing. Looking out the back wind screen is not the right way man. Jeez! The teacher makes the student OMG!!
I think George should have graduated, not the other guy who can't drive properly and give excuses of wrong choices he made, clearly he got no driving skills.
in response to the reverse driving being told they should hold it at 12 (the top) to keep a god reference for straight. I feel this is wrong because the higher you hold a steering wheel the less control you have of it. the guy that held it at 6 shouldn't have failed for holding it there as he actually has more control of the wheel while still keeping a good reference for where straight is
I sustained a fractured femur from an head on collision motor vehicle accident. I was a passenger in that accident. Well, I can drive and I can't wait to get back behind the wheel 😈
Oh and yes, I'm professional driver. My head SPINS as I scan all the mirrors while I reverse so I can know what's happening around me and I don't reverse over anybody with my 15 metric ton truck.
@@TheSanpletext Turning around is not an issue itself but that they're told to "only" look behind. My mum turns around and look in side mirrors when backing out of a parking lot.

In germany you learn to use all the mirrors and mostly the back window.

That's a Beetlejuice response

Do you guys do this experiment in europe? I want to try it but i am 15 and in europe you need to be 18 to have a driving license
So nobody in Canada drives a proper manual...?
Why is instructor telling them to turn around for reversing? THAT'S WHY YOU HAVE MIRRORS FFS.

If you want to reverse in a straight line, you just put the car in reverse and drive in a straight line
i dont think its their fault isnt of the person that gave them the licsence
Not able to get through the bridge's at 70kph .,...should not be on road !
