Billy Bob you "feel" the lyrics and the music dude.. theres thousands of "heavy rock songs" as you described it that move me... some to tears as this one can at times. just close your eyes and get lost in it man.... you may learn something about yourself
The Wolf McCall That’s just not true. I do think Michael’s version is more emotional and just better overall, but hard rock is more than capable of being emotional.
Am I the only one who hears it as 'I should have known better than to cheat a friend, AND WASTE THE CHANCE that I've been given' instead of 'A WASTED CHANCE'? Not saying it's wrong, just that I hear it like that. Brilliant cover of a brilliant song.
I love Seethers' version much better! The raspiness of his voice makes this song so much better! This song is another one of my best friends' favorite songs! This song means so much to me as well in Seethers' version too! So you can't go wrong with Seethers' version!
I grew up listening to George Michael thanks to my mum and consider him a massive influence on me and my view of the world growing up. That being said my personal taste runs more toward this genre of music and I'm blown away with how good it sounds. It's not often I find a cover I love as much as the original and especially not one that I consider so close to my heart. They did a fantastic job.
@@Eddie-uf6bs I personally disagree. I like this version a lot, but the original is very passionate on a totally different level. Passion is far from boring
Seether was here in Toledo a million years ago at one of our outdoor venues and when they did this one, they asked us, the audience to sing Amy's part. It was definitely a unified moment of human frailty. A painfully beautiful moment.
The original song to this was great but Seether did a fantastic version of this! I love the guitar riffs during the chorus and the verses, it just sounds great! Everything that they did to make this all time classic into a great rock song was just perfect!
I love both versions. If you listen to where Shaun Morgan places his intonations and where the stress is placed in his notes and compare it to George Michael's version, you can realize they are both different in their own way. Sad is the close-minded individual who cannot enjoy the music and actually take it apart, listen to it, and realize that even though it's a cover, it's a new song in its own right. I love both versions and this one seems to convey more pain, which is why I love it more!
Both are the best!...we cannot really put a rank on these original and sheeter version of this song....I love the original and sheeter version in the same level...
Why are people actually comparing this to the original? The genre's are completely different. Why not just agree that both are good? I love the classic but I also love the rock spin that this gives it.
Agreed, I love both versions, honestly just depends on the mood I'm in. the rock version is harder and seems more aggressive, the original is calm seems more sad/regretful if that makes sense. :P
Orin Enloe No, because (1) this is off the album that Wham!, "Earned the exclamation mark," and (2) I don't think a cover would cut it for Deadpool. This is a great cover, but it doesn't top the original.
I searched best covers of all time to try and find songs like seethers careless whisper.. so glad to see it on the list.. in my mind if this had been the original it would have been considered one of the greatest rock songs of all time
I'm a child of the 80's. I actually like the trend of modern rock bands paying respect to the 80's pop. Honor your roots. I do agree different is not better, just different. Does this version rock? Hell Yeah!!
I feel so unsure As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor As the music dies Something in your eyes Calls to mind a silver screen And all of the sad goodbyes I'm never going to dance again These guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool I should have known better than to cheat a friend A wasted chance that I've been given So I'm never going to dance again The way I danced with you Oh Time can never mend The careless whispers of a good friend To the heart and mind Ignorance is kind There's no comfort in the truth Pain is all you'll find I'm never going to dance again These guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool I should have known better than to cheat a friend A wasted chance that I've been given So I'm never going to dance again The way I danced with you Oh Tonight the music seems so loud I wish that we could lose this crowd Maybe it's better this way We've hurt each other with the things we want to say We could have been so good together We could have lived this dance forever Now who's going to dance with me Please stay I'm never going to dance again These guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool I should have known better than to cheat a friend A wasted chance that I've been given So I'm never going to dance again The way I danced with you Oh Oh oh Oh oh Oh oh Oh oh Oh oh Oh oh Oh oh Oh oh
I know how to play the original sax part of this song. now all I need to do is learn how to play guitar, and memorize the notes for this rendition👍 amazing cover to an amazing song. Well done seether👏👏👏
...Wow. Usually when I like a cover this much, it's a song I'd actually listen to already, like, the original. But this one...This is a song that I wouldn't listen to, but I'd listen to the cover ALL THE TIME! :D
Austin Harvey This is actually though only Seether song I've ever heard. I thought it was going to be bad because most cover songs are horrible but this is amazing! I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL!
This cover is awesome and really brings out the dark part of deception. Its a hard thing to do to cover such an awesome song (the original by Wham), make it just as good and yet still manage to keep their own flavour in it. But they made it. Very good job Seether! Love it!
this version: perfect music to listen while watching someone badass walking across a desert with an explosion in the background in slow motion George Michael version: Sexy time.
my mom danced to this song(albeit the original by George Michael) with a close friend she had in college. She had a major crush on him... turns out he was gay. The second verse makes me laugh because it kinda fits the situation. XD Oh well, if he hadn't been, perhaps she wouldn't have met my dad and I'd not have been born. So all's good, right? XD
Only get that one chance to dance with another of such mesh of completeness and once it passes by - there will never be another 😢❤ I love the raw emotion of Seether to make love sound - as it should!!! I really love the way Seether sang this. There is so much emotion behind it, it really just takes the song to another level. I do wish that they added the saxophone though. It would have made the song really haunting!
How can you not like George Michael?? I absolutely love the 80's and Seether really does the best cover of this song. Not to mention being a huge Seether fan! :)
Nailed it. That "Please.. stayyyyy... " is so emotive. Absolutely nailed it
It's so emotive that I cried. No joke. What a beautiful song.
Tommi Saarinen How do you cry to heavy rock music?
Billy Bob you "feel" the lyrics and the music dude.. theres thousands of "heavy rock songs" as you described it that move me... some to tears as this one can at times. just close your eyes and get lost in it man.... you may learn something about yourself
Billy Bob you can take 1 song play it for 10 people and get 10 different reactions. I think this song is relaxing
Tommi Saarinen cry baby pussy
Seether said they covered this song as a joke. One hell of a joke :) I love it.
Everyone loves comedians. 😆😆😆👍🏻
Brittany Wy
i love the joke 😅
They did bad ass. Lol bet they didnt think soooo many people would love it
Best joke I've heard in a while!
I like this version since it brings out more of the emotion behind the song, since it's mostly only remembered for the sexy sax riffs
Rigghhhhtttttt I think that's why I like this genre of music the most because there's a lot more emotion behind the singers voice
Are you high? Hardrock is the least emotional or romantic thing in the universe
Yeah rock n roll improves everything
Execute order Sexy Sax
The Wolf McCall That’s just not true. I do think Michael’s version is more emotional and just better overall, but hard rock is more than capable of being emotional.
I love when the rhythm changes when it says "tonight the music seems so loud" it's just an awesome touch. I'm absolutely in love with this cover
the "please stay!" was FLAWLESS
The original is awesome, but as a gal who loves rock, I prefer this version. Just a little :)
Dat guitar though.
Lol. Your funny. Girls aren't real. There a pigment of your imagination.
How does one think they're intelligent or clever by confusing a tounge with ice cream?
hippotrot123 idk. I just like ice cream....
nick smith *You're * *They're * Seriously??
Moodo76 You forgot to correct *figment* too.
I love when others make a song their own instead of just essentially covering them. Seether did an excellent job.
Am I the only one who hears it as 'I should have known better than to cheat a friend, AND WASTE THE CHANCE that I've been given' instead of 'A WASTED CHANCE'? Not saying it's wrong, just that I hear it like that.
Brilliant cover of a brilliant song.
+Jay White too late to correct it now, but i think that's what's said
I hear that too!!!! You're not alone!!!!! XD

If you're a metal head, this is WAY better than the original.
+Sonia Buck YAS
+Sonia Buck Im a metal head but the original is good too
Not metal. This is emo shit for suburban wannabe toughboys.
Felamine There is a difference between your opinion and pizza, that being that I want pizza
+Felamine I don't think you know what this song is about
That intro is wicked intense.

Never heard the original version, but I love this! Seether is amazing!
You’ve deff heard the original it’s in like any romantic meme you ever seen XD
Do you live under a stone??
Relax, people!
His comment was made TEN YEARS ago! We were barely using the word 'meme' then.
The original is boring
@@Eddie-uf6bs I personally disagree. I like this version a lot, but the original is very passionate on a totally different level. Passion is far from boring

I think George is rockin out in heaven to this version. r.i.p. George and rock on.
I find it pretty badass that they made a version of this song
Always thought so too. Almost punk to do something so out of the box like that.
It feels like it would play in some action movie when the protagonist avenges his dead wife or something and walks away in the rain
The original song to this was great but Seether did a fantastic version of this! I love the guitar riffs during the chorus and the verses, it just sounds great! Everything that they did to make this all time classic into a great rock song was just perfect!
💯
Yes!
Seether is very VERY underrated band. This is the best cover ever!
So true

Well- damn🥺
George Michael's version is more on the romantic side and this one is more on the awesome epic side! Love both versions though 😊❤️
❤❤❤
R.I.P. George Michael. Thank you for making a great song that so many great artists like Seether had the priveledge to cover.
generalee12 agreed
This is the type of music that makes you want to live forever.
i wouldnt say that-
That's deep
Solche großen Musik.. Macht mich jedes Mal, wenn ich höre es zerreißen
One of the best covers I've ever listened to.
OH MY GOD!!!! seether NAILED this!!!!!!!!!! Omg this sounds AMAZING and better then any versions of this song..omg i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!
Please stay! It's so emotional when he say it how did him do? This is real music.
Very good cover. But the sax is really what used to make me get goosebumps. Awesome job Seether; I'll always be a fan.
Great remake. I usually like the original better, but this is an exception.
Always makes me cry. Beautiful. I think it means more to people if you learn to play this or sing it.
This is for all of us who experience unreturned feelings and unreciprocated love. The worst type of pain.
It always ends in pain. Even if they love you and you have a great life together sooner or later they die and leave you
I love this song. So much talent. Thank you for sharing.
I can't decide what version I like better! They're so different yet so amazing! 🙈
What a cover! Sweet and touching! Brilliant!
Be it this, the original, or whatever version, the song itself is just great.
0:50 "As the music dies..." The music is dying but bands like you bring it back to life.
The version of Careless Whisper Deadpool might listen as he kicks ass
WHERE THE FUCK IS FRANCIS!
Josh Keller Are you fucking stupid?

Both versions are great ....... well written song. Both versions sound very heart felt .... specially the Seether "pleeeeaaaseee ssttaaaaaayy!"
I one hundred percent agree on the please stay part. it sounds superb
Yeah I know right
One of the best ever covers in my opinion
I love both versions but this one tends to stick in my head when I am working it's truly amazing
One of my fav covers love the slight break down
OMFG I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!
One of the better covers out there....
I can feel the pain in this song....... 💔
You dont land on this version just like that. I am proud of you my fellow person.

I feel so unsure
As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor
As the music dies
Something in your eyes
Calls to mind a silver screen
And all of the sad goodbyes
I'm never going to dance again
These guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
I should have known better than to cheat a friend
A wasted chance that I've been given
So I'm never going to dance again
The way I danced with you
Oh
Time can never mend
The careless whispers of a good friend
To the heart and mind
Ignorance is kind
There's no comfort in the truth
Pain is all you'll find
I'm never going to dance again
These guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
I should have known better than to cheat a friend
A wasted chance that I've been given
So I'm never going to dance again
The way I danced with you
Oh
Tonight the music seems so loud
I wish that we could lose this crowd
Maybe it's better this way
We've hurt each other with the things we want to say
We could have been so good together
We could have lived this dance forever
Now who's going to dance with me
Please stay
I'm never going to dance again
These guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
I should have known better than to cheat a friend
A wasted chance that I've been given
So I'm never going to dance again
The way I danced with you
Oh
Oh oh
Oh oh
Oh oh
Oh oh
Oh oh
Oh oh
Oh oh

Cool...I love this version...and especially the start is awesome 👍

Only get that one chance to dance with another of such mesh of completeness and

I love the raw emotion of Seether to make love sound -
as it should!!!
For the loud exhilaration of highs

But you still cannot help &
scream & want ---

This is a really solid song. Like a well-constructed, good song.
Best tribute now.... r.i.p.
One of the greatest cover ever 😍

i love the seether cover! :D :D :D
