    From C.S. Lewis' "Mere Christianity".
In this essay, C.S. Lewis discusses Christian morality concerning sex, emphasizing the distinction between the virtue of chastity and societal norms of modesty. He argues that while societal standards of propriety change, the Christian rule of chastity remains constant, requiring either complete faithfulness within marriage or total abstinence. Lewis addresses common misconceptions about sexual desire, the overindulgence and perversions of the sexual appetite, and the challenges of achieving chastity. He also highlights that the sins of the flesh are not the worst, as spiritual sins like pride and hatred are far more detrimental.

    Incredible!!!
As with so much wisdom that comes to me so late in life I find myself momentarily angry that I could not have heard it sooner.
That being said, I'm grateful that I got to hear it today

235 views and zero comments. This is the thing no one wants to talk about. I will re-listen to this when I have time to sit down and study it. You have to be careful of what CS Lewis says. He's predestination lite. And it's my thought that he is a freewillerof sorts. However I do glean from some of his writings and sermons.

You just said he’s both for predestination and free willer. I’d like to understand what you mean because to my understanding these seem opposite. Please elaborate.

      Romans 8
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among.
Lewis seems to think, in sermons that I've heard before, that you can choose your salvation, you can choose Christ. He's already called us out before the foundation of the world. It could be some of these people that read his sermons change his words around also. We do not have free will.

You have to be careful of what anyone says, including you. Be a healthy skeptic
