The actual reflux ratio is calculated by multiplying minimum reflux ratio by a factor. That factor usually lies between 1.3-1.5. That's why it is multiplied with 1.3

Why do we have to multiply by a factor 1.3 to get external reflux ratio?

After giving condenser and reboiler pressure, it is showing that the reflux ratio could not be calculated even after 20 iterations. What do I do?
Please recheck your values.
