The red flag for me was when Megs told Harry that if he didn't announce they were dating she would leave. That was the first red flag. EH needs to remember the disgusting things Harry has said about growing up in the monarchy, not just about his father. The level of spite he shows towards William is dangerous and his wife's fixation on harming Catherine through reputation destruction (a classic female bullying tactic) is disturbing. He can have a role when hell freezes over. William is smart, he knows he can't trust Harry around his family or him.
I really detest the gruesome twosome but I heard a bit of The Vintage Read Show deep diving a book, The Housekeeper's Diary, based on when Charles and Diana were still married and Diana used the boys to get back at Charles . She used to arrange for Harry's supper to be served in their nursery and she took William as company for herself. No wonder Harry grew up twisted - though not to the extent he is. Incidentally, the book is banned in the UK.

Even Patrick Jephson, her private secretary until Martin Bashir poisoned her about him, and who clearly adored Diana, revealed how petulant and spiteful she was.

If they had left and just focused on doing good and tried to earn their money in the honest way without trashing his family and lied to try to damage their reputations, no books or Netflix documentary, the king and prince William would no doubt welcome them back or would have asked them for help and support.
