Callen Schaub's practice draws from a rich history of artists using spinning and dripping techniques - from Damien Hirst to Jackson Pollock. But Callen has invented his own homemade devices that include swinging troughs, paint can pendulums and bicycle parts that help him create his signature works. In this video, Callen takes you inside his paint-splattered studio for a look at how he makes his dazzling works of art.

These abstract paintings are unbelievably satisfying
/ cbcarts
i love how it looks like he's just splattering paint all over the place, and he is, but there's actually so much thought and imagination behind the process. amazing.
Yes, art is meditation. Every stroke or decision is a thought, of where to put it. I talk about this in one of my videos.
teapotlizard Give self paint enema shit in all directions=abstract art wow mega achievement!
Logan I'm seeing you respond to a lot of people's comments bring this mans talent down and tbh it's okay if his style is not to your taste but honestly even myself as an artist whose finds it sometimes difficult to find the beauty in some abstract art can appreciate this mans pieces. The commenter isn't an "art slut" but simply a person with a perception of art that roots deeper than yours or even mine. This mans paintings may not tell profound tales of love and loss or anything like that but they most definitely are an extension of the man behind the canvas, they reflect his personality and his passion and I think maybe it's easy to forget that primarily that's what all forms of art are. And that's why it is beautiful.
Oh yeah so much thoughts. Artists love to think of themselves as philosophers and great thinkers. lmao. Try to engineer a smartphone see how much thinking that takes.
Logan
Lol why are you so triggered by this? Don't like it? Move on!
People at museums: I’m sure this painting represents how society is a dark hole that leads to only death itself, and everyone is born with a burden that can only be satisfied by things that have no real worth.
Artist: SPLISH SPLASH SPLOOSH SPIN TWIRL I think this one turned out well :D
Dance Party literally tho
Which means that artist let people imagine things
That's not what an artist is
That moment when you realize it takes more effort to look at art than to make it nowadays.
Dance Party hahaha damn i laughed way to hard at this
weird how he maintains his white tshirt but stain his pants like crazy.
the pants are not stained, its the print.
New shirt that day
00:46
How is it weird. It spins knee level so obviously it will b more on his pants
Is this a really dumb joke or are you just dumb? Or both?
Everyone: paints normally
this guy: haha paint go fly weeeeeee
the smile on his kid photograph speaks volumes
Haha .."go fly weeeeee" I love that!
Yeah with full of fun.
He should put an empty canvas beside the spinning canvas and get layers off the flying paint when it hits the canvas
He actually does that.:)
Was about to comment this too. Lol so wasteful.
ganjasmoek oh yeah yeah
I thought , at one point, that the walls were canvas.
He should put a canvas on top of a canvas then another on top of that
Honestly, this is abstract work I can get behind.
yes...so happy there were no triangles and squares! 😊
I don't know, there are quite a lot nice abstract painters, check out the "polkadot queen" for instance. I think her paintings are amazing. And I also recently discovered a woman that has some sort of cognitive disfunction where she "sees" music as color which she then paints, really great stuff.
edgy teen Hey your Name ist my Name on discord
Geazaki Cosplay I usually hate abstract art but I really like these ones, maybe because his art looks like there was thought put into the execution as opposed to something like looks like a five year old drew it with a crayon.
yea you can say he puts a "spin" on traditional abstract art
For some reason I thought those paintings would make great wallpapers/theme for IPhones or any Apple devices!
True dat!
Lol same thought, the color palette is very similar
Yes indeed
I did art history at university and in my early 20's worked at a really prominent private gallery but left the field entirely after getting so disillusioned. To me art, especially abstract art in the present market lacked substance, it was always brand over something that was truly amazing in fact it's sadly true of most of the art world and I couldn't live with myself contributing to this empty bottom dollar vapidness, it was a real crisis of conscience. But I really appreciate this guy's process in building his own set ups, a rarerity, and wish him the best. Now I'm a civil engineer and love my job but every now and then take up a canvas and paint because it's an amazing feeling. It's funny how I never enjoyed art as a career but as a hobby I fallen back in love with it because it's on my own terms. Life certainly has expensive lessons!
Great story and teaching!
Sounds familiar to what I'm going through right now. Did you start in an architecture school btw?
Totally agree...i was an art teacher and fell out of love with art once i knew people were only interested in ideas and not skill....plus i kept comparing my work to students work, plus......after a full day of teaching art i couldnt unwind with art at home......lol..its taken 15 years away from work where i can finally enjoy it as a hobby.
Just like me .....
I'm an artist and I used to wonder why someone would become famous and revered by art critics for something a kindergarten kid could do. However, I learned another perspective: Interior decor. "Abstract Expressionism" can bring life to an otherwise dull room. An office or office bldg or even a home. Look at celebrity homes and they always have these types of paintings on the walls. And they do bring life to an area, though I do think that's all that they're good for.
I generally don't care for "abstract art" when it's just stuff thrown on to say LOOK WHAT I DID. But this art took time, effort, thinking, and actually gets some really cool natural looking effects.
Parasol Mushroom he still threw paint and explained it way out how hard it is, in fact the spinning machine is the same as the spinning clay machine
I've never cared about it either, but it turns out that a lot of abstract art isn't just about the picture, but often about the process and the meaning behind it.
thats how all abstract art is tho? they sit there and think " how do i want this to come out? what should i add in it?"
Parasol Mushroom Same for me. It's always about the final result for me, I don't care how much time it took. Abstract art is where I get the most strict in, because I hate someone putting a simple splatter on a canavs or something. I like a lot of his art and I love the way he makes it
Parasol Mushroom I like to eat Parasol Mushrooms. And I like your opinion, and share it. Nothing personal though ...
I feel like his art is almost scientific. He watches how natural spins and pours look. From a logical stand point it's really cool. I understand why some people wouldn't like it but everyone is different.
It is a kids toy available from most good toy shops. Search paint spinner.
I find it about as beautiful as a monkey throwing shit. Naturalism is far more beautiful than post moderism abstract art. But that's me.
For me skill and hardwork are far more valuable.
Honestly he brings the most important factor into art. The fact that it's supposed to be fun and enjoyable.
NO it is suppose to be disciplined just like sports, real life professions and work... artist are not kindergarten finger painters trying to sell trash aka Picasso IF not I quit no more thoughtful movies, just whack a head over and over and over again. NO more well made meals, just mac n chez...Art in kindergarten is not about ART it is about kids learning to explore how their hands move. HAVE no clue why it is called ART.oh paint. Seriously, crafts are done for fun. The world of expression vs art has been ignored. By these standards having a poo poo is art.
Im also happy after i poop. Should i put it on frame so abstract lovers can appreciate it?
True.
@@jhonhomerrana9080 sure.
@@grooveythoughts I think both opinions are true. I think it's about finding the balance between hardwork at refining a skill and having fun.
His talent is pure gold. Paintings every one can do good or bad. But his technique is amazing.
Even his pants are colorful and pretty
TNT_Girl 17 that is coz stains if acrylic paint don't go
Even he is pretty
He can sell on eBay for hefty price
one of my art teachers friends sells his aprons he uses to paint as their own pieces for thousands of dollars. they sell more than his actual paintings lol
TNT_Girl 17 it's probably art and also can be sold for millions
i hope its not a rented apartment
Nope he's a snow flake still in his mother's basement.
David Vasquez envidioso.
David Vasquez he makes more money than you do
David Vasquez aww you think you are clever by calling him a snowflake? Get a life!
Why would you say that? Do you know him?
I honestly believe that it's more difficult to paint a realistic quality painting, but for as long as I remember, I almost never get inspired by looking at one of those. It's the abstract art that makes me feel emotions that can't be described with words. It's like feeling a memory that you just can't visualise, you can't tell it, you only feel it.
That is honestly the best description I've ever read. That's exactly how I feel when I look at abstract art. Thank you!
What's difficult is relative. Some people are born with a really great eye-brain-hand coordination, but poor conceptual skills, and vice versa.
Wot
Yh yh sure
@@johnnybeaver4093 It's not about being born with one skill or the other, it's about working hard to improve and catch the skill, and I can surely tell you that it's obviously more difficult to paint like Michelangelo than randomly throw paint over a canvas, but if that type of painting please you more, just don't care and enjoy it
The abstract on his pants is amazing
Never really liked abstract paintings before...but now..............wow! 😵😵
I feel the same!
David Handley same most of them are like 3 dots and their like WHO WANTS THIS FOR $100
This shit tilted the scales for you? You must not have google searched well.
Logan.......google search WHAT??......you pathetic loser!!
How sad for you.
Love the effects you are creating but I couldn't help wonder how long it takes your paintings to cure.
probably takes 3 days max. U can try the dirty pour technique for a start. That took 2 days only.
Christine Nichols m m,q
Christine Nichols
Probably not super long, I use acrylic paints and they tend to dry quickly. If anyone is interested, I make figural abstractions you can see them in my video The Journey of Ruetu - Spirit Art
Christine Nichols well it acrylic so it makes it much much quicker to dry. Doing something similar it takes about 2 or 3 days for a large canvas
I love how people keep arguing about what art is and isn't...we all grew up and experienced life differently. As a result, we all see art in different forms. Art to one person, may not be considered art to another. We all interpret things differently, there is no need to justify what is and isn't, especially with art. Art is in the eyes of the beholder. Saying, "this isn't art!!!!", is not going to change someones mind..
Exactly. I am an artist and arts specialize in charcoal, acrylic and oil portrait. I used to do such abstract thing if im not busy. But i am more into portrait of people. We have our own specialty and love to do what we want. It's art. Simply not boring. But others dont have eyes, or doesnt understanding art.
Yeah, this isn't art
thats not true.. when you label your art abstract and its not.. there is a strict definition to what abstraction means. You must be astracting from something. Just splashing paint around is not abstraction.
So what your saying is..... EVERYONE is an artist???? Anybody can put paint on a canvas or paper and they are an artist? That's what your saying? When my 11 year old neice gets out her paint...and does one stroke of blue and says she's done. Instead of encouraging her to do more. I should leave her because.... She too, is an artist?
The person in this video isn't anything special?
The legendary people aren't special because everyone is an artist?
If that is what you are saying...... Then why do we have Art Galleries? Why do we pay high prices for paintings?
Really anyone that paints. Their work is worth absolutely nothing?
@@devinmichaelroberts9954 even if they aren't meaningful osme of them looks cool and it will make a good decoration
These paintings are so amazing, they just paint themselves.
I like how he wearing a white shirt, like he want himself to be a piece of artwork too. :) that just cool
Misaki Ya The contrast of his squeaky clean shirt contrast with his colourful pants is kinda bizarre!
Misaki Ya you're looking in too deep
most painters wear white shirts..
Misaki Ya or how about it's just a white fucking t-shirt
Misaki Ya it's just a shirt
I want to say I hate it because he is literally just dumping paint on a canvas, but for some reason, I’m really into it.
Lily Coffee tbh I'm not a huge fan of abstract / modern art but I actually think this takes a lot more skill than we might initially think. I wouldn't be able to do this, that's for sure.
Lily Coffee there’s a difference with abstract art with thought into it and one with none.
The part that really sold me was the fact that he built mechanisms to create movement in his pieces. Also he takes into account a bunch of stuff like colours and his emotions at the time, stuff like that. This isn’t just shitty modern art, there is enough effort involved.
"I would be able to do it" "I wouldn't be able to do it" this is not about being able to do something, art has never been about being able to do it. It's about coming up with it and only then having the skill of putting it on a canvas.
Lily Coffee it’s harder than it seems...
jokes aside the paintings are actually so good
He does everything possible to NOT paint.
It's funny, but the true is that painting is not grab a brush , it's the way you figure out how to make the masterpiece, the artist is a creator.
And waste expensive paint and sell it even more expensive than usual to make up for paint money.
@@universaljudge3790 well it works so.....It doesn't matter
@@universaljudge3790 It's acrylic paint tf you mean expensive
Painting is applying color. There are no rules regarding how that is done.
How does his watch stay so clean??
DC430 because he can take off his watch lol
Johann Sanne You're a fun person
Ribeye Robert D
art·ist | ˈärdəst/ | noun | a person who produces paintings or drawings as a profession or hobby.
Really? Explain how the things he does aren't qualified to label him as an artist.
Bcuz it's a paint proof watch . Lol
Windex and a cloth
I'm usually not into the modern "abstract" art, but these paintings are amazing 😍
Puff and Fluff I personally don't like art that doesn't take talent. Also I hate the colors he choses.
That's because here we can really see the process and work that comes with creating such a piece. Most of the times we may brush off such paintings, not seeing the dedication put in by the artist in making it all come together. However when we watch how this guy creates each piece, we get a sense of amazement just by seeing the out come afterwards.
Puff and Fluff this isn't like those poop smear paintings costing millions of dollars
Puff and Fluff if someone actually paid me money to take them, I wouldn't go for it!
same!
If I start to paint like this, I would be out of the house in a minute.
I am reading the comments and it sounds like some people don’t like his work and that’s okay.
I actually like his work, I think it’s the colors and the movement 🤔
Alejandra De La Rosa me too
this must be so expensive
easy when your parents pay for it.
yes, easy made and trash art is expensive :)
TheWinterJedi Acrylic paint? What the fuck are you talking about?
TheWinterJedi acrylic paint actually isn't too bad haa
*haha
I am a very realism-based artist, but these are absolutely stunning. So gorgeous; I'd be so into being able to try this out.
I always find the combination of both abstract and realism to be very intriguing. Usually the base is abstract and one finds a piece to contort into a realistic image or just an overlay.
Elizabeth Read me too!
I love this. I can paint traditionally, and can do portraits fairly well (can definitely improve though), but Abstract art is what I love. Everything from the process, the color choice, the technique- It isn’t taking a photo and capturing it on a canvas, but it’s creating a visual that each person can see their own meaning in
Loved the spin machine idea. Mother earth made herself so beautiful spinning all through these years.
I got into abstract painting once I noticed that all of my human portraits appeared to look like stick figures.
Shen Oac i
Very cool, I would love to see that image. It's crazy how at times us as artist start focusing on one image and then as we are working on it at times it becomes something else, I guess you can say that the beauty of art which we call Abstract!
Baron Von Munchausen lol I was thinking that the entire video. Infuriating when people talk like that.
Then you are lazy Ahah
dear god people just let him make his pretty splooshes and splashes
Fickle Me That's what it is. Not art.
no one is stopping him, no one just likes it
ABSOLUTELY NOT
@@jrhooman i like it. Its an abstract feeling
We let him do it. We don let him sell it
I'd like to see him strap his paintings to gymnasts while the paint is still wet and let them do a whole routine.
Why don't you do it yourself?
It's not the painting itself but the process of it's creation that is the highlight here.
What I love about this are the colors and how they grab your attention. Colors have meanings so it's interesting to me which colors speak to you.
LivingMindfully1975 this is not art, it's shit
Look at all these peasants 😂
LivingMindfully1975 I agree, the piece is spectacular, the colors stand out
How much paint does he use jfc O:
acrylic isnt all that expensive
Finn Howlter but it's a waste
He might use pouring medium
Finn Howlter yes it is?
Finn Howlter it is when you're as poor as I am.
It’s blow minding, the colors, the shapes, the creativity...
They used to have something like that at carnivals. I always looked when they would spin the paper and you add you colors!
This is the type of abstract stuff I'm into
**crying cause paint is expensive**
dan Notice how he uses acrylic paints, which are reasonably cheap. I mean obviously buying this shit in bulk like this guys going to build up lmao.

dan Acrylic paint tends to be cheap, honestly.

There are simply no words to explain your style --- completely unique and heavenly!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

He is the happy little tree...

this made my day..thanks (a year later)
A moment of silence...... R.I.P
As an artist myself, I just love when people are creative. Even if it's different
👍?
As an artist.. there is a huge difference in creativity & "hey, let's take $500 worth of paint & pitch it at a canvas"
I love how his paintings capture movement
To me each painting is a moment of bliss. As an artist one is aware of the personal struggle to get to just one painting. However, once you are in the process - it is meditative and shear bliss. This Artist has taken that bliss and that struggle/sacrifice and taken it up a notch;creating magic. Brilliant. 😻
I usually am very eh about abstract art but these are very beautiful. I think it's in the motion, it adds this life and relatability to the paintings. especially the swirly ones.

Anyone can create or do something, and if they're passionate about it that just makes it more special. Anyone can be an artist there are no limits nor qualities needed when creating art to be one. That's why art is so great because it's expressing yourself in your own unique way through dance, drawings, paintings, literature, etc. Everyone has their own process too. Sure you can have your opinion and taste in art but you shouldn't make someone feel as if they're not an artist and that there are rules to art because there aren't.
bubble. tea thats bs if anyone can do it then how is it special? u cant say that its a talent anymore because if this is art its basically basic human function.. not skill.. art is for you to express yourself not for people to see and guess how you expressed urself there.
GLGM Talent and skill is required both fort art, no one is born to paint like a master without studying for years and practice
I love the style and technique, so unique and fresh, he shines passion, adore!
I love it! You make paintings, decorate the room and your clothes all in one go. Beautiful mess made by lovely painting
Ugh, this comment section is making me so mad! Art doesn't have to be super precise and neat to be art. I think that these pieces turn out beautifully, ok, it is a waste of paint, but the passion and fun he gets out of it is completely worth it. Abstract does not have to mean super precise and all that, so stop trying to frame it as that
John Dunbar you can get good money for that my dude
Noraj De Ton Sodomisage I think you misunderstood what he meant by art. You may think art must be precise and neat for it to be adequate pieces, which is totally fine. But to some the art it self may not even be what the final piece looks like, and instead may just be the pure joy of expression that comes with putting paint to canvas, that makes it art to them. Mediocrity and perfection is in the eye of the beholder.
If it was worth it how was it a waste?
John Dunbar that's very disrespectful
Charlotte Lee tis a dull world without art. no capitals required. do ya not think
What a cool guy
Not
Really cool guy
Yea
Calm down, Eyebrows! 😂
Omgsh the movement in these painting is amazingly beautiful!! I love this!! ❤️
1:08 that was beautiful.
I really like this coincidence based art, very interesting
Noraj De Ton Sodomisage Then what do you define art as? Anything can be art especially when the viewers have a connection or feeling towards the piece of work. Look at Marcel Duchamp-- he turned a urinal upside down, signed it, and got praised for the meaning of his piece. Just because it's not a realistic painting doesn't mean it's not art... But believe what you want, i guess.
+Noelle W you can have a feeling and a relation to everything
Drawin Stuff ikr
I like this approach/view. He sets up his canvas for physics to draw his painting.
Noraj De Ton Sodomisage Don't you know dadaism? Well, you should...
Dude wastes a lot of paint, but the end result is so worth it. Beautiful work.
beautiful, but why does everyone think it's special? It's the pop music of painting.
Used to have that spinning painting at Skegness when I was a kid some 45 years ago
I'm an artist and I approve. This stuff is done well, not like most splatter paintings. It flows and isn't over doing it.
Beautiful. Idc about the art, honestly I find art in everything. I am not saying it's not amazing, all I'm saying is that I absolutely adore the way he enjoys painting. He plays with the paint, he fucking throws it around and on himself. I want to experience that before I die.
I'm sensing some sexual tension between you and paint
dThineni haha
You can't even imagine.
I am always amazed at the people who seem to have nothing to do but pick apart videos. I think these are beautiful; and thanks for sharing.
brilliant. his manipulation of physics and color is exquisite. these pieces have the beauty of fire or beach waves; there is no inherent meaning, aside from the impression derived by the viewer. this is the flip side of a painting. open ended, fantastical, but not derivative at all. i am truly impressed.
Not everyone can do abstract art, he actually picks very pretty colours
But the very definition of abstract art is that anyone can do it because it has no rules or boundaries
As an artist myself, I think your work is really interesting. I am a sculptor who also paints, and I think that you are, too ...(eventhough you may think about yourself as a painter)
Mazie Ferreira you're not an artist, you are a liberal imposter.
Mazie Ferreira totally ! I can see him making those contraptions he uses in an installation and maybe use film too. Great observation ! From a Sculptor to sculptor :)
Is this a joke? Or do people actually type like that
He's got the exact same colors on his body in the child-photo as in many of the paintings. I'm more of a classical art type of guy, but i wouldn't mind having one of his paintings on my wall.
Wow!! Love it! Something different! So inspiring! Keep on rolling!
Usually I don’t like these pour paintings, but I think you are in this on a deeper level. I love to do ink marbling for the same reason, SO amazing to just watch what happens!

I love that RUclips recommend this for me.
I can’t stop looking at the piece from 3:53
You guys are missing the point. It's about the creative ideas behind the art, not the actual physical action of putting paint on a canvas
usually people who think art is made too complicated are inexplicably less capable of producting quality art
nice one......cheers m8.
werdette ok I don’t even care about your comment but I love your profile picture!
I have an idea....He strips naked and let's me paint him.
super mario a child can’t build a machine that spins all by himself. Children cant comprehend the art behind abstract. This is beautiful. He makes it splattered and cool because it’s style.
Cool use of color, very Jackson Pollock. Expensive process....
Nope, Pollock wasn't about colours. He wasn't colourist like this abstract painter. He had his personal art style. You need to see his artwork to understand it. Watch closer. You can see, after that, figures and details. Pollock is about it.
CyberFeed TV about how much would paint cost for some of those?
CyberFeed TV I Agree
Everything that is abstractionism and putting paint on a canvas is not Jackson Pollock-esque. If anything there is one similarity between the two. But I see where you're coming from.
you don't paint do you.. he just laid a fuck ton of paint down... even CHEAP acrylic paint is expensive and i'm sure if you buy canvases in bulk or wrap them yourself but if YOU went to michael and bought that canvas (prob about $70 because its the thicker canvas) and the paint would be like $50 at least.
trust me... no matter how you slice it, what he's doing is expensive.
The blue one he said he grew out of is actually the best one.
People tend to disregard abstract art, maybe because they think art is just a duel of sheer skill and detailed portraits of reality, but it's much more than that, art explores the link the human has with it's own emotions, and this is a great example of feelings that cannot be conveyed in any other way.
BOOOOOOOOO! What an art world justification... like you're smarter than the people who 'don't get it.'
I love this work! Remarkable how organic they feel. The "planned serendipity" is very cool.
You haven't been paying attention to the last 40 years of art. Jackson Pollock = google.
So cool!! To be able to think about what colors to use and then invent creative ways to apply it and make it look good is a true talent!
I'm an artist 58 years now and I think its pretty cool !
These are so beautiful, I want one hanging in my house.
I can make you one for $500. Give me the color scheme you'd like.
If art were solely a process of reproduction of a well-composed scene to the highest quality then the moment the camera was invented then pencils, paints, and traditional artistry should have been abandoned.
haroldfrogspawn In a way it was. Once the first camera was introduced, it was a major blow towards art, causing abstract art to be created in the process. Look into it if your interested.
That’s the whole point. Painting is a dead art. Filmography has effectively replaced it, both in cinemas and television.
Moses King well absolutely not... thanks to photography and film, so now we can see the difference between a really good painting and a bad one. It’s not about a perfect reproduction. A painting must have an essence on itself. Moreover painting is timeless. Just go in museum and contemporary galeries lol. It never has been dead
Fine art is still beautiful and different than photography. It’s cheaper to make live action films so by your assertion Pixar and other forms of animated media should be out of business. But it’s not, why? Because people still like realistic or idealized art because it’s an artistic interpretation of objects and living things.
Paintings can still be more accurate than a picture since cameras suck at dynamic range, unlike your eyes.
Saw this when it came out. The thing he said about brown really stuck with me. Browns my favorite color now.
Beautiful abstract painting❤️
This is a technique that has been used by Mexican artists in markets and carnivals for over forty years. They often let people try it for a few coins. It was my favorite booth as a kid.
FinoAllaFine which technique?
This style of painting can be seen in almost every gallery you go into, and I've lived in Manhattan, Los Angeles, Sedona, and a few cities in Florida. The artist charges a few hundred to a few thousand dollars so it's interesting to hear about them being created in Mexican markets/carnivals for pocket change. The colors and designs surprise and dazzle the eye, but look at the flashes of Rembrandt and Van Gogh edited into this piece and see the same level of emotion cannot be put into a spin painting that takes 30 seconds to create vs. a painting that an artist works on and lives with for conceivably years. It also doesn't hurt public opinion that a young, good looking guy made this art.
Yes but this man is white therefore he created it and it is new and interesting.
FinoAllaFine Yeah I Painted a Hat at one Before!!!
That sounds really fun!
I am so excited to see you doing this, I too have been experimenting using different tool to create "spin art", I love what you're doing, I may have to try a couple of your idea's. Currently, I have a wheel that is used for turning clay to shape it, then a large round Masonite board on top of that, the only problem for me is, creating a barrier so I don't get paint all over my artist loft, lol.The art you are creating is wonderful, I love color, and have difficulty using browns, it's a funny thing, trying to figure out the best way to implement some earth tones into my work.
Go to your local woolies produce department and ask if you could have two of their empty watermelon bins. If one is too small then you can hot glue two together to create a ring around your painting space.
When I was a kid they used to let you do this in an amusement park. To be fair he is being creative by adding some features like the pendulum

Just a suggestion, Try one using sound under a canvas. There are videos that show many fantastic geometrical shapes and patterns, by adjusting the frequency. Im kind of anxious to try this myself. Let me know
Kevin Kincaid yes!
There is often so much more than meets the eye in an abstract painting
Deanna Negru no there isn't
He makes the abstract art so beautiful 😍😍 abstract art is really beautiful, used to do it back then, might as well try it again
You are over the top and free falling all in one glorious ride. Thought I had seen it all but was proven wrong...I am still learning and you just became my latest teacher. Thank you... the student is ready and waiting...
very very nice and refreshing.
I use my paint wistfully and it lasts me for years. in a way it hurts me to see you splashing it about . still you make very very cool stuff. and, after all you can scrape the paint off the walls and floor and exhibit it as art as well
naly202 that was passive aggressive. Bitch much?
No one cares about your wistfulness!!
naly202 no one asked
naly202 people can paint however they want to. It makes them happy
naly202 it's only paint! Anyone would think he was throwing food on the ground in a poverty stricken country!! Wow I can't believe how some people are so concerned about an artist using his basic materials in experimentation.
Young man you're stunning -new generation
These paintings look like they are actually painted! Like someone has zoomed photo of paintclusters and painted them on canvas! Amazing ✨
