Law of Sines (SSA) Ambiguous Case 2 Triangles Possible

  • Learn how to work with the law of sines to decide whether there is 1 triangle, 2 triangles or no triangle possible when given SSA also known as the ambiguous case. We discuss all the different scenarios possible and how to recognize them by finding the height of the altitude. We go through an in depth specific example involving 2 triangles and we completely solve the two triangles.

    The height (h) = 20 sine 30 = 10, not 12 sine 30 = 6.
    Otherwise, I understand fully your explanations.

    I think the hypotenuse should be 10 by rules of a 30 60 90 triangle
