The Faero Islands became independent of Denmark 20 years ago but.... they still have a seat in the Danish parliament. Difficult to translate. Denmark is only 1 20th the size it should be compared to Faroe islands and Greenland! In many things. Faroe islands are strategically important because of their position in the north Atlantic!

Mr. Sjurdur Skaale starts his speak with his opinion on Denmark wants to have a military radar on The Faroe Island etc. He mention some quotes like “the Danish backyard” which he disagrees;
He continues with at humorous joke of three criminals who was sentenced 10 years in jail with one exception: if their *beep* are exactly 20cm long in total, they can leave as free citizens and fortunately, these are 12+7+1 cm. His point is that we all count and has to cooperate if we want to stand strong in The Arctic. By a geographic view, Greenland has 12 cm, Faroe Island 7 and Denmark 1, but in a political and economic view, Denmark delivers the 12cm.
Denmark should involve The Faroe Island in the ‘whole process’ of exploring the Arctic etc.
The funny part is, he is nervous getting a kind of ‘warning’ from the Chairman due to his joke containing ‘dirty words’
