Wipeout - INSANE LOOPING WATERSLIDE | Hurricane Harbor Rockford

- This is the "Wipeout" waterslide at Hurricane Harbor Rockford, IL. Guests step into a tight capsule with a glass trapdoor before a countdown begins. Riders then hurtle down a near vertical 5 story drop at extreme speeds feeling like they're being pulled to the ground, before embarking on the 45º angle loop. High g forces are felt throughout the loop, with super high forces being felt right at the start of it. For a brief moment at the apex, riders nearly stop, leaving them feeling weightless with a "zero gravity" feeling. Riders rush back down the loop before ending in a runout lane. Still to this day one of the best slides I've ever done, and certainly is the craziest trapdoor slide I've been on so far. The ride isn't too smooth, but it doesn't change how incredible this slide is!

awesome
I would be scared to get stuck on the loop
Good video. I went there today and this slide was closed. I would’ve liked to go on it
Oof that sucks. Happened to me at Cowabunga Bay.
They said that this slide was closed for “maintenance”
Cool!
It’s strange to see a white water west slide trapdoor slide at a hurricane harbor
This park was bought by Six Flags and used to be Magic Waters, so that’s why it’s primarily Whitewater.
formerly called "Screaming Lizard"
Yep! I think Dive Bomber would’ve been a better name for this though.
I still call it screaming lizard and the 2 ones that drop down I still call those double dare drop
I think there shutting them down
Nice! Welcome back to Rockford! When was this shot?
Thanks! I recorded this on September 6th, 2021.
