Three and a half weeks ago I knew nothing about the First Past The Post voting system. Writing this song has been an informative exercise for me and the only agenda I have with this video is to try to inform others before this week’s election. So that their vote counts for what it is they actually want. An uninformed voter is worse than a non-voter. Good to see Plan B back and using his platform to encourage people to be more politically aware.
If he was making people more aware, then he would have shared both sides of the argument. Seems like him and his fans aren’t interested in highlighting the other side of the benefits of past the post. ‘Proportional vote share’ allows densely populated areas like cities to tyrannise whole swathes of the country. In this scenario, the cities would become more rich because they have higher populations and the rural areas more poor...so the poor would still have absolutely no voice because they are subject to those who benefit from their labour. If we abolished past the post we would be abandoning vast parts of the country and creating even more divisive gulfs.
And for the record; this election, Torys got 43.6% of the share whilst labour only got 32.6%...so tories still would have won the overall election by a landslide.

We are in the age of corporates coming at you if you owe them a penny. There really is no such thing as being free. Life is the hardest it’s ever been in history, now. The gov of every country given power to elites and they call the shots. That leaves the rest of us peasants to live a life of misery and lack of hope. Yet the general population just carry on as they want to live a quiet peaceful life. The ones we vote for and expect to do things to help us already have their hidden agendas which are not beneficial to the people they represent, so it’s all bullshit!
Meg megie would love to have a sit down chat about the world and all it’s injustices lol. If only the masses were not like lemmings wandering around aimlessly, we might have stood a chance of getting some critical minds together who could actually try to do something to bring positive change as all these parties are in bed together and there’s no real freedom of democratic choice. Glad some people know their shit in a world full of Instagram and social media binge-ers. Just more lies and confusion on those platforms too

This is entirely brilliant. Honestly, I agree with its message even if I don't love the music itself. I've started writing letters, which I know will be in vain, to my MP to attempt to change the system, but if everyone does it, it might make some kind of difference.

First time I heard plan b was back in ‘06 on radio 1. It was “no more eatin”. I bought the “paint it blacker” mixtape off the old website and they sent me 2 signed copies in the post! I think plan b is one if the most underrated artists ... I don't know if it's him that doesn't care to push to much or the music system that doesn't allow him to do more of his stuff ... personally he is one of the few artists that i like ALL of his music ,the others TRICKY , ROISIN MURPHY (and maybe another couple of names) because they didn't sell themself and keep doing their music staying true to themself and i think plan b is like them ...wish I could listen to even more of his stuff ...sorry for the sermon ...

Missed opportunity this. I was a fan of Plan B from 2011 when I moved to London from Ireland. 10 years later, I wonder where he is and then I see this gold and, unfortunately, far too late. RUclips's algorithm knows I want to eat eggs before I do, yet it didn't decide to show me this. Ever! WTF?
