Thank you so so much 😭 I really wanted to make this dress but I didn't have any idea where to start, your tutorial is so perfect 😍 now I can make the dress thank you!!
You really have some skills, the results look great so far and trying to imagine all the little nuance of holding all the layers together, and how the fabric acts really does drive home how much sill and patience you have for this work. Well done. I've definitely seen this character around, the anime does look interesting as well! :D
I recommend it so much! I am really enjoying this anime. Thank you so much, it took some effort to get things how I wanted, I'm not 100% happy but that is almost impossible! 🤭 can't wait to wear it
@@AliceinCosplayland I've heard good things about it too, definitely seems worth checking out. You're welcome too, I'm sure the final results will be worth it! :)
I really needed it! Thank you so much. I never done any cosplay b4, and decided to go for it with Yor. I also don't have a large budget but here's what I thought: (maybe you could reply if my idea sucks, lol!) I would just pick a tube dress and make a detachable (and larger) skirt, the roses one. The choker would be also stitched with the skirt. What do you think? Also, I loved the tiara you made.
It sounds like an amazing plan to me ☺️ Just adapt the cosplay to your own level! Good luck with your first cosplay, and remember if it isn't perfect the first time just keep trying! It gets easier and better with practice ☺️
@@hiraijaz3777 Buy a tube dress, add a length of fabric to the waist and sew straps for the collar? Just follow the tutorial and adapt it to the materials and skills you have. Instead of making the dress from scrap, buy it, instead of painting the roses, get a patterned fabric.
@@hiraijaz3777 I was thinking of doing kind of an overall skirt, but with the backs larger. I would try to paint the roses since I also didn't find any good pattern of fabric that would be nice for Yor's dress. The needles and tiara seems easy enough to make, and I already own the boots and stockings. That's it I guess? Honestly I would be pretty surprised if you could make everything in a week, I recommend doing it with months before the event. But good luck I guess
Thank you so much ! May I ask ou a full version of the dress assemblage (byst + skirt please ?) I don't see very well how do we put them together to make the behind part with the front one...
The pattern comes with drawn instructions. The dress is already assembled so I can't show much more apart from what you see. You have to attach the bodice and the skirt right sides together matching the seams. I recommend you to sew all the panels for the skirt and all the panels for the bodice, then sew them at the waist.
I recommend about 1.5 meters (60 inches) for the dress and the same for the lining. But you can get away with a yard of lining if you use the scraps of the black fabric to do the lining on the bodice ☺️
I'm sorry I don't. I buy my fabric in physical stores and usually from the discounted section, so no tags. Look for satin or something similar. I also used different paints for the dress because I run out. Any acrylic paint from any art shop should work (not kids cheap one). I recommend you fabric paint if you have to buy it anyway. ☺️
Heyy I‘m pretty new to sewing and i bought your pattern for this! Am I supposed to leave the fabric in the gap between the dart markings or cut it off? Because there is no instructions and it looks like I need to cut it, but in other tutorials they always leave the fabric and fold it, i‘ve never actually sewn a dart 🥲
I’m a little confused. I’ve bought the pattern and I’m doing ok so far but I have no idea where to attach the zipper. Does it go in the bodice or the skirt?
Or you can download the pattern directly! www.etsy.com/listing/1232102019/thorn-princess-cosplay-sewing-pattern Patternmaking is very difficult, it takes a lot of trial and error as well as mock ups and testing.
@@AliceinCosplayland its ok its just cuz there is an anime event and it's my first time to go to an anime event i wanted so bad to dress like anya but sad in my country they dont sell these stuff
@@armyjunkook3000 you could still alter a pattern or use a premade dress and add trims 😊 use your imagination! I'm sure you can come up with something, it doesn't need to be perfect either 😁 have fun at the con!
No idea, I printed the 3D file at about 80%? And attached it to 8mm needles. As I combined both things I couldn't give you an accurate answer that works for you
I understand why you can't, but it still really sucks that this pattern doesn't come in larger sizes. it seems like your pattern is the only one available on etsy right now for this dress, but your largest size is 10 sizes too small for me. I really want to make it, but I'm scared that in order to resize the pattern the dress will end up looking extremely wonky :/
I'm very sorry, I am not skilled enough nor have the means to test a bigger pattern. It takes a long time to resize patterns and plus size are extra challenging. Here is a tutorial on how to resize patterns, I know people have been successful with it, you will however need to do a mock up to make sure it fits correctly www.craftsy.com/post/easy-guide-pattern-grading

Nice cosplay again! Been loving the Spy x Family anime! First episode was the best.
It is! But I have to say the second because Yor appears 😍 And the last one with the castle was so adorable! I'm loving it.

Wow just like a real life
Thank you!
What fabric material did you use?? This is amazing!!!
Thank you, I used satin ☺️
Hello! I am not sure if you see new comments on older videos, but do you by chance have the STL files for the accessories that you 3D printed?
I got the stl accessories either on Etsy or myminifactory, I'm sorry I can't remember which one right now , but a Google search should work
How much yardage did you end up using? I want to budget my cosplay plans before I commit to buying patterns and such.

Esta hermoso, que telas usaste? Y cuantos metros usaste de cada tela?
Use raso para ambas partes, me parece que un metro de cada. Los detalles están en el patrón 😌
Can you make her sweater and coat too? I wish to see them one day 💜
I did think about it, but at this time I have no plans for them. There are so many other characters I want to do!

You need to leave it! Don't cut it, it is more difficult to sew if you cut away the fabric from the dart

About 1.5 meters of each fabric? All the details are in the instructions of the pattern
