I could see why. There was also a similar logo with WPIX 11 (a local WB station) where it had a design similar to the Twin Towers. That logo was retired in 2006.
As fas as I know, it was because at this time, were in development two towells in Santiago de Chile, called "Torres Santa María". In the end, only one of them was built, but the logo was left with both of them.
ENG :The channel ChileVisión back then called Canal 11 Universidad de Chile Televisión it wasn`t the first logo, the first real logo was when the channel in 1960 was called Universidad de Chile Televisión. ESP: El canal ChileVisión en ese entonces llamado Canal 11 Universidad de Chile Televisión no era el primer logotipo, el primer verdadero logotipo era cuando el canal en 1960 se llamaba Universidad de Chile Televisión.
Lamentablemente, no hay muchos registros de esos primeros años debido a que en chile había pocos televisores y los videocasetes no vendrían hasta los 80.
