    None of these cars are fakes or clones. Also, I'm sorry that I mispronounced David Pearsons last name. It was early morning and I had yet to have my coffee. I will be doing a 1 on1 with Brent this fall to bring you more in-depth content of some of these vehicles. I didn't know what was in this private collection till I walked into the door, otherwise I would've had more information before hand for everyone. Thanks for watching the videos.

    Wow! The Hajeks collection of vintage NASCAR really grew! I remember Brent Hajek in the 80s he was featured in a lot of Hot Rod and Muscle car Review magazines when he had all the 60s Ford drag cars that I was following and he only had the Parnelli Jones NASCAR Mercury at the time. Nice collection and good to see his cars again👍🏁

    Yes the early Petty Blue race cars were the best looking ones. Especially the 71 and 72 roadrunners. Must have built 5 of the MPC models of them when I was a kid. Loved the old big Ford stockers also. Thanks for sharing!

    Petty did race a Road Runner in 1972. This car won the 1972 January Riverside roadcoarse race before the new brand new STP sponsorship red and blue paint scheme was put into effect. The red and blue Road Runner ran Daytona and other races early in 1972. I believe the first #43 charger ran in the first Talledega race of the season in May, I believe.

    I love vintage NASCAR, I'm a Very Big Petty Fan, was that his real '72 Plymouth Roadrunner from the Riverside win in '72!!! That was the first outing for Richard Petty with Andy Granitelli, STP at the time!!! Even if it's not, I love it anyways, just like the rest of those classic stockcars of yesteryears, keep up the great work!!! I like to visit one day!!!

      I honestly can't say if it was or not. I know it is one of Petty's legit race cars that has been restored. I don't know which tracks it raced on though. Glad you enjoyed the video.

    Well you got it wrong. Petty Drove the Road Runner in 71 as the blue car you see here and in 72 for half the season. First race it was Blue at Riverside because they did not have time to repaint it between the race and when they signed the contract with STP. All other races it was Petty Blue and STP red. Mid-season they switched to the 72 Dodge Charger. And drove it till 77. NASCAR rules said you could drive a car for three years then you had to update it or build a new model year. Petty was allowed an additional year, because Mopar did not have a car that would qualify for the rules. Petty tried the Magnum first, then the Mirada and both were aerodynamic bricks. During a plug check at Daytona, you kill the engine with the throttle held wide open and let it coast back to the pits and pulls the plugs to check to see if the carb is jetted correctly. One of these two cars would not coast back to the pits the aero was so bad on it. I think that was the Mirada body. They took the cars back to NC, stripped the bodies and rebodied them as GM's and stuck the 358 gm small blocks back in them and went racing. End of the Mopar era due to rules like in all the sanctioning bodies of racing. They could not beat the Mopar's so they always changed the rules so they could beat them. Fact.

    Your facts aren't completely accurate concerning the Petty Plymouth. That particular car represents the #43 as it raced in the first race of the season at Riverside in 1972. This was just before Petty added the STP red to the paint scheme. He didn't start running the Charger until the first Talladega race of the season. He continued to race the Plymouth on the short tracks throughout 1972. So Petty raced the Plymouth in '71 and '72. Also, the Lorenzen Ford is a '65 Galaxy not a '67 Fairlane.

    Whoever made this video, you obviously don't know your facts about racing. First of all the # 28 Ford driven by Fred Lorenzen is a 1965 Galaxie, not a Fairlane. And the # 17 Ford Talladega was driven by David Peason, not David Parsons. As for the # 3 Earnhardt, he did not always drive GM cars. For 2 seasons, 1982 and 1983, Earnhardt drove the # 15 Ford Thunderbird for car owner Bud Moore. After that, I didn't watch the rest of the video. If you're going to make a video, you should get your facts straight.

    That Mercury Marauder has to be fake,they didn't use roll down windows in race cars. It has a tag on it too? Must be a tribute car made to look the part.

    • @ConemantheBarbarian
      @ConemantheBarbarian 2 года назад

      Early days of NASCAR did have roll down windows. As the series and the cars evolved they removed stock components in the name of safety. Back then they were “stock” cars unlike the funny cars they’ve become.

    • @jachmguy7423

      Side glass was legal and used at big tracks (mostly Daytona) for aero purposes until it was outlawed by NASCAR not long after Petty's Darlington wreck in mid 1970. The Marauder is most assuredly the real deal.

      I haven't watched his show since I was kid. My original plan was to start a channel to share my motorcycle trips that I take in the summer. How I came about doing this channel was I sitting at work here awhile back listening to a customer share his story about a 1959 Buick Invicta. My response was "now that's a classic car story and it should be shared on RUclips for other people to enjoy". That's when decided to make this channel instead of one for my motorcycles.
