Good idea. Im doing the same. O recommend removing the cumberbun with this setup. You dont need it as its not holding any gear, it will be faster and easier to put on, and wont hold in heat.

C02 in a pack. Damn son, you're stopping to crack open some tubes and take some whip-it's in combat? You're gonna end up in my platoon when WWIII comes.

In the hope during ww3 we get to chose our own gear because it so disasterous of a war that governments cant afford to fund their armies.

You have to take your plate carrier off in order to drop your Alice??

I highly recommend British DPM LBV's (mine is a Kenyan clone) they have a good bit of pouches for sustainment on its own, but it has the belt loops for an ALICE belt like a lot of other late cold war LBV's. on the belt I have 2 canteen pouches that I also put my compass in, Binoculars in its pouch, an E tool pouch that I am currently using as a dump pouch because I don't have an E tool yet, may replace that with a IFAK when I get one, right now I just have a larger medical bag with some medical supplies in it. I also have a butt pack on the belt, and another pack above that I attached to the lower back of the vest, and they don't get in the way of a rucksack.

If I were you I would ditch the current plate carrier you have for something a lot slicker (with no molle). I got a T-Rex Arms AC1 and its wayyy more comfortable than my LBT 6094 when I'm running LBE with the carrier, only saying this because it seemed like the carrier was kinda hard to get on for you.
Plus, I would adjust the cummerbund to fit you, I saw a lot of overflap under that front panel.

@@DudeintheM1helmet it’s a good video. I’ve been working on a similar video going over my plate carrier and LBV 88 for a few days and I’ll hopefully have it up soon

What shade of brown is that plate carrier? Did you spray paint coyote a darker shade or is it a vest you buy?

      The color is Ranger green

Sick! I also have a vietnam war era Alice gear I tried once wearing underneath my coyote brown plate carrier. Right now I have a modern coyote brown tactical belt and I plan to mimick the alice suspension design by buying tactical suspenders and a pack to put behind me with magazine pouches. What do you think is better - matching coyote brown plate carrier with belt or OD green belt that looks like a modern alice gear with a coyote brown plate carrier?

Whatever fits you the best but I would personally do the brown belt

I think think that color shouldn't be the biggest of worries unless your in a arid environment where the Coyete Brown is the best.
