Kevin Feige is such a big influence. Hopefully, sometimes I feel like I’m on the verge of giving up on my dream. But hearing about Kevin Feige’s story just made me more motivated. Hopefully I can get to his level. I’ll never give up in my dream
Want to find out about more with Marvel during their days leading up to the original X-Men film with Avi Arad and how no one at the company other than him wanted to take the characters into films, check out the book "Comic Wars..." by Dan Raviv. It's basically the story of how Ron Perelman bought the company and his think tank ran it into the ground trying to squeeze and siphon money out of it, how Carl Ichan attempted a hositle Takeover and how Avi Arad and Ike Perlmutter at Toybiz did their best to now get swallowed up and ultimately got control of the company. There is a Hardcover and a Softcover. The Softcover was reprinted around 2 years later and has two extra chapters.
Couple of very interesting things from this interview: 1. The fact that he saw Phantom Menace 13 times in a movie theater would imply that he really liked that movie. Curious, to say the least. 2. I had always thought that Kevin Feige was a lifelong Marvel fan. The fact that he never read comics growing up, and is now in charge of the creative direction of pretty much every non-DC superhero movie and show is… again, interesting.
Feige, this is the man I look up to, I love the MCU, from the age of 8 with Iron Man to now! Absolutely inspired by his direction for the greatest cinematic universe to date
But the main character of her trilogy is a barely developed woman. That's how you get awards not by curating a 22 movie and many more TV series and comics in a single universe.
@@sdprz7893 I wouldn't go that far. I like Rey as a character. Daisy Ridley is a great actress but she isn't given any good material to work with. It's her presence that makes the character still likable to me.
Disney is exactly what helps the realise their full potential. They release so many movies and shows a year with such a big budget bc Disney helps them. Only the projects for 2021 are over 1 billion US dollars combined. Bc Disney have a lot of money.
@@КристиянКостадинов-з6л agree, not to mention what Disney ecosystem gave to Marvel such as CGI studio, marketing experience, Disney distribution channel, etc.. Marvel couldn't do it alone. Marvel's acquisition by Disney was the best decision for both companies.
went from being rejected to film school 5 times to helping create one of the biggest movie franchises ever... never give up on your dreams.
Not just one of the biggest, but MCU is the most succesful movie franchise of all time.
2.5 years of rejection, not that much rejection tbh
@@Summarisation That's a lot of rejection for a career that hasn't even started yet lol
It’s encouraging as I’ve been rejected multiple times in highschool until my senior year to be in the film program.
Especially if your grandfather was a big producer.
He’s the only producer who’s just as recognizable as the directors
Harvey Weinstein?

We need more Kevin Feige

good luck! I hope you get there, enter Marvel, and make big money!
He saw the phantom menace 13 times in the theater? Dam that's a Star Wars fan right there
Kathleen Kennedy watch out😅
Why else all the subtle Empire references everybody spots in Phase 2?
Explains why he loves producing movies that look like overstuffed CGI maps in RPG games.

Its the Marvel hater again 😂😂😂😂
"There was psychological issue at that time"
2:15 Feige's love for Superman The Movie is very heart warming!
Please just put the whole video on. You'll get more views that way.
He just comes across as a cool ass dude who gets it. Well, say hello to the biggest movie franchise of all time.
One day I’ll be the Feige of DC comics
All the best man 👍
I would so buy this man's autobiography/biography if they were to publish one.

They should make Kevin Feige an mcu origin movie lmao
Kevin is a Master😊
He was like Zinadine Zidane as a manager by winning the UCL 2014 alongside Carlo Ancelotti when they first make X-Man 1 in 2000.
This man deserves an Oscar, not Kathleen Kennedy
