It’s recommended you wire it to run continuously so it is always shining on the coil to keep it clean- however you can wire it to come on only when the fan is on. Hope that helps
Did you use the self taping screws, to secure the mounting plate or did they go through both the mounting plate and the base plate? It appear the holes in the plate were pre-drilled or did you have to do that?
@@jasongiannone1229Thank you for the reply. They appear to have changed the design, since the mounting plate is not pre-drilled currently. Also the instructions do not tell you how to un-screw and rotate the "core" to align it properly (as shown in your video). Therefor you wind up with the logo going up and down (the light is now at the 9:00 position) rather than sideways, with the light at the 12:00 position, as shown in the instructions. Were the screws used on the mounting flat flathead? Otherwise the heads would keep the base unit from mounting flush on the mounting plate. It looks like I will be dissembling the unit and remounting it correctly.
Can you have one of these when you have a steam humidifier in the supply above the coils as well? If so, are there precautions you should look at with placement when having the humidifier in place?
Air Purifiers with UV lamps can sometimes emit odor causing ozone. As of 2020, Dust Free has made it a part of its mission to guarantee its products no longer release any ozone. In 2021, almost all of Dust Free's products were recognized by UL, a top global safety certification organization, to emit zero ozone (UL2998 Certified). Any replacement cells ordered after 2019 will automatically include ozone free bulbs and ionizers.
@@jasongiannone1229 I am enjoying your videos and you do a wonderful job explaining all the benefits to homeowners. Rather that hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), the PCO actually generate Hydroxyl Radicals (·OH). The hydroxyl radicals are an odorless oxidant which reacts very quickly to break down contaminants in the air.
Is the light on all the time or just when the fan is on?

Hello- the holes come pre drilled so we just screwed through the pre drilled holes in the mounting plate into the plenum. Hope that helps

good job. I just had one of these installed in a new AC/Heatpump system
We have one in our home
We don’t like it cuz it has a strong order
What size do you have a 12" or a 6"? If you have a 12" you can try downsizing it to a 6".
that smell is hydrogen peroxide- the ionazation process omits HP. its safe and has a clean smell- that means its working well.
@@jasongiannone1229 is that the same as ozone? I’ve been concerned about the ozone levels being produced
