    @ductrung3993,
    We used Mosquito Bite in this stick during the playtest and loved it. We strung at mid tension. You should find a softer response from the Mosquito Bite, partly due to its thin gauge. It will sound tighter than it is when strung up, again, due to the high pitch sound from the thin gauge. We found it very, very spin-friendly, and that should help you find some additional control.

    The new blades have Amplifeel in the handle that offers improved feel that our team really liked. We also I especially liked the 18x20 string pattern and it's enhanced control. The new version is crisper, with a more responsive feel and you'll feel just a tad more connected to the ball. As far as power and spin etc, they play very, very closely.

    @alexrebo,
    This racquet offers some really nice power thanks to its higher swingweight. Other options which are lighter and easier to swing would include: Wilson Pro Tour BLX, Babolat AeroPro Drive, Prince EXO3 Black, Volkl Organix 8, Head Youtek IG Extreme and the Dunlop 400 Tour to name but a few.

    @ cane gatto,
    I could never say that switching to a particular racquet can fix any sort of injury, but some racquets are more comfortable and are better suited for those with a pre-existing injury. This racquet will be pretty middle of the road in terms of comfort, but it shouldn't feel overly rough on your wrist. It has a stiffness rating of 64 on our website, and I would recommend sticking to racquets under 65 for a little more comfort.
    Andy, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse
    @tenniswarehouse  12 лет назад

    @AlboHabbo,
    The racquet comes unstrung, but you can purchase whatever string you would like to put in it and we will waive the stringing labor fee. All you pay for is the string itself, and you can pick which ever one you like.
    Andy, TW

    @Myekal,
    We have found an average of around 335 for swingweight so your racquets are swinging heavy. It is very, very difficult to lower swingweight as you would have to remove material from the tip area of the racquet and that will void its warranty. You can add weight to the handle to make the racquets feel more head light, but that will not lower the swingweight, although it may give you a sense of better maneuverability.
    Chris, TW

    Both TW and TW Europe offers discounts on multiple racquet purchases when available. It is a great way to help players save as most advanced level players like to have at least two racquets in their bag in case they break a string etc.
    Chris, TW

    @getIE94 We re-tested this racquet with a different group of testers. The original group, we found out, was not compatible with this racquet because of the weight. So we used new testers that are used to heavier racquets.

    @neilk831,
    The mosquito is a pretty thin string, so try right around mid. Another option is to keep it reasonably similar to what you previously strung at with the nxt control and go about 2lbs lower than the tension you're used to.
    Siobhan, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse
    @tenniswarehouse  12 лет назад

    @baylor51,
    Use a thicker gauge string like 16 or 15l. Use a lower powered string and string above mid tension. Poly or co-poly strings offer less power but are stiff. Good ones include: Volkl Cyclone, Kirschbaum Touch Tubo, Luxilon ALU Power Rough and Dunlop Black Widow. If you want comfort with less power, options would include: Head Rip Control and Babolat XCel. A great budget option would be Gamma Syn Gut WearGuard.
    Chris, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse
    @tenniswarehouse  12 лет назад

    @AJDinger43,
    Wilson NXT 16 would be a good choice. It will offer great comfort and feel and good power. The 16 gauge will also be decently durable and you should find the tension and playability to last the life of the string.
    Chris, TW

    @thawaspman,
    The Surge is a nice racquet, offering a crisp lively feel with good access to power and spin. It's also very maneuverable and easy to swing, so it will be easy to generate lots of racquet head speed with. If you're looking for lots of pop, go with it!

    @UrbanReview01
    As we used for much of the playtest, Weiss Cannon Mosquito Bite is a great option for bite and spin. Most polyesters will do the trick. Some others that our playtesters like would include Gamma Zo Verve, Polyfibre TCS, and Kirschbaum Pro Line II.
    Spencer, TW.

    @nathancana100,
    Yes with its control-oriented tighter string pattern and more control-oriented beam design, you should find you can knife your flat shots much better with this racquet and not have them float. Other very good options would be the Dunlop Biomimetic 300 Tour and and Head Radical Midplus.
    Chris, TW

    @ Branko Andrews,
    The BLX Blade 98 we found to be more solid and stable than the KBlade 98, especially on off-center hits.

  • @tenniswarehouse
    @tenniswarehouse  11 лет назад

    @ 1tennisx,
    The Blade is a little heftier and stiffer, resulting in a more powerful response compared to your Radical. Go with your usual string and tension, maybe a pound or two tighter in tension if you are really worried about getting too much power, and see what you think!

    @TheTilly510,
    Probably the BLX Blade 98, it's big on controllable power and spin. Just in general feels a bit stiffer, beefier than the Juice.

    @itsdaniwithanI
    It is indeed Mosquito Bite, and it's one of my favorites. It has a lively feel (partially due to the thin gauge I'm sure), and imparts good spin. For a polyester it has a nice balance of power and control without feeling the harshness on the arm. Again, one of my favorites.
    Spencer, TW.

    @50panda
    Those are three very different racquets, (assuming you meant 95, not 96). It all depends how the racquet responds to your type of game. If you're seeking some added pop, then maybe the Pro Tour or BLX Blade 98 would be better choices. Seeking more control and supplying your own power? The Six One 95 might work better for you. Again, it all depends on who is wielding the racquet and how it compliments their game. A great option is to demo all three if you can.
    Spencer, TW.

  • @tenniswarehouse

    @lamoeblabla7 I found the Blade 98 to be an issue on my arm when i string it up with a full bed of polyester strings. If you have arm problems, use a hybrid setup or go natural gut or multi-filament. I really enjoy both the 300 Tour and the Blade 98. Demo'ing both is the best way to go! Good luck.

    @lamoeblabla7,
    The Blade offers a firm and crisp feel, but I did not have any comfort issues with it at all. For me, the biggest difference between the two would be power. The Blade offers a lot more pop, but is a tad more demanding. Both are due to its substantial swingweight.
    Chris, TW

    @TheTennisPro99,
    I was using WeissCannon Mosquito Bite 18 at 55lbs for much of the BLX Blade 98 review. I really liked that string set up in that racquet.
    Chris, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse
    @tenniswarehouse  12 лет назад

    For me, I'd add it at the handle to make it more head light and bring down the swingweight slightly. I like my racquets to swing around the low 300 range.
    Jason, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse

    @hiddenchildren Yup! That is the Mosquito Bite. I really enjoy that string. It feels very crisp and has nice access to spin.

    @EvoLuTioNBst,
    Have you tried the BLX Pro Open or BLX Pro Tour? They sound like a much better fit for your game than the Blades. Other options would be the Babolat AeroPro Drive and Pure Drive GT racquets.
    Chris, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse

    @mauriiits That is a great polyester string! If you want spin, control, durability, then the Signum Pro Poly Plasma is a good choice.

    @mauriiits,
    What do you like/dislike about your current set up? What you like to get more of from a different string? That will help us recommend some strings for you to try.
    Chris, TW

  • @tenniswarehouse
    @tenniswarehouse  12 лет назад

    So please take any recommendations with a massive grain of salt. Here is what I would try first. Get two sets of Polyfibre TCS 16L and Alpha Gut 2000 17g. Put the TCS in the mains, the Alpha in the crosses. This gives you a playable hybrid. Since it is a softer, more powerful poly hybrid, it will compliment the low power and stiffness of the Blade's dense pattern."
    Hope that helped.

    @007mrtennis,
    I would suggest a hybrid with a co-poly main and a multi cross string. Babolat Hurricane Tour+XCel, Wilson Ultimate Duo, Kirschbaum Hybrix Spin, Prince Hybrid Spin 3D, Solinco Tour Bite and Yonex Tough Brid would be a few options to try.
    Chris, TW

    @Marka9111 I prefer the BLX Blade 98 over the Roddick. I feel the Roddick is just a tad too much for me to handle. The Blade provides excellent power for a control oriented racquet. We have a full written review. Just go to the product page and click on "TW Reviews"

    The 18x20 is a closed pattern so it will decrease spin potential.

    @crazyphilly555 If you are looking for a crisp feeling polyester with nice ball pocketing and access to spin, then yes I would. But if you have elbow/arm issues, I'd suggest going with a softer string setup.

    I've had this racquet for a couple of years and have absolutely loved it, but over the last few months, as I've gotten stronger, my shots are starting to go consistently long. Chris, do you think that it would be better to add some lead tape or a new string set up, or do both? (At the moment, I'm using Luxilon Big Banger Rough in my mains, and Prince Premier Lt 17, strung at 56 lbs)
    Much appreciated

  • @tenniswarehouse
    @tenniswarehouse  12 лет назад

    I talked to our string expert Jonathan for you and this is what he said, "Since this is a heavier frame, you might try a hybrid with poly mains. This will increase your control. Keep in mind that polyester is a stiff material, so you should start at the very bottom of the tension scale, and stop playing if it's too stiff. Also, keep in mind that it's nearly impossible to predict which string will work in which racquet without knowing the player's style, strength, and health. Cont..

    String her up with some Wilson NXT. You will get more power, more feel and more comfort. The durability will not be as good, but since the Stamina is lasting you so long, it doesn't sound like you are a prolific string breaker.

    @skiflying11 Depending on the 15 year old player, but yes, it's not too heavy and demanding that a 15 year old can't use it. Although, it is geared for an advanced player with more refined strokes that can generate their own power. When in doubt, demo!

      Those are both good racquets too. The ProStaff 95 will be very light and soft feeling. It doesn't have much power but it has excellent control and feel. The Six.One 95S is a little heftier and more solid, and it will offer more power and spin.
