Hi Josh, will you consider doing Chopin - Minute Waltz (Op. 64 No. 1), it is very popular in Asia among children, and it is called "Little Dog Waltz" in Asia... not sure if it is related to how a small dog dance up and down when seeing his or her human companion
Hi! I played this piece about less then a year ago, and I'm going to pick it up and repeat it now. I remember I was having a problem at the second page in the piece. I could not get the touch as light and delicate as I wanted. Instead I felt it was a heavy touch and stressing when I included the bass chords/notes. Do you have any tips about this Josh?
Hey Josh, is it possible for you to make a video on how to play this song, note by note and chords? I do have perfect pitch, and have been playing piano for almost 13 years, but sometimes I think it's just easier to have someone tell me or someone the notes are, depending on how difficult the song is.
I don't think he'll go that in depth because most will be using the sheet music for the notes which is an important skill to know for playing classical music
@@ethanpunto9222 mix sense, but since I’m blind, and have tried braille music, which is actually a lot different than regular brill text, braille music is pretty difficult. So that is why I learn more by ear.
@@peyton4719 lmao my generation sucks, only listen to hip-hop and rappers like lil' pump, lil' uzi vert, lil' this, lil' that instead of listening to classical music. If only more people of my age listened to real music, like I do. Three months old btw.
Oh that reminds me of my dad's but every day he's going to be with me and every time people cuss at me I will knock them out then also I have two German Shepherds and they are so wealthy one time they killed two wheels
My fingering is so different for the first few measures...eek. Now I think the way I have been playing it was all wrong..(my version is on my channel-feedback welcome!)
Thanks for the tip Matias. Currently doing a fundraiser for a new Christmas albums where we'll be obtaining a pair of nice cardioid mics which I will also use for these videos. If you'd like to donate and help speed up the process, I'd be so grateful! www.youcaring.com/joshwrightpiano
This is probably the best tutorial out there. Especially for those who care about the minor details. Thanks for taking the time to make this!
Sweet, i just started this waltz
Glad to hear it :)
This is the best professional tutorial. I'm currently working on this with my teacher for Level 8 piano assessment test. Thanks a lot.
I was doing all these mistakes in the first chord you're explaining, and this video really helped me in understanding the way I should play
Thank you!
Excellent video tutorial that i kept revisiting.
So true, in the beginning, I was struggling with the grace note, when he instantly addressed that, I was glad I wasn't alone.
thanks - this really helped with the grace notes 💖
You're a great teacher!
One of the most important RUclips videos for me ever. I am struggling with this piece for nearly two years now. No kidding!

I have to perform this piece in 2 1/2 weeks, I'm not ready...I've been practicing a lot but that one section: I just can't get it
Thank you!
It helps a lot thank you :)
Hi Josh. Your modesty is admirable, but the truth is that you understand this piece better, and you play it better, than many very famous pianists!
+tom rose Hi Tom - you are so kind. Thank you for your support!
That is really useful ...thanks Josh
Darn, I was hoping that you'd explain a little about the più mosso section...I know the noted but it's dynamically kicking my butt

Does anyone know how I can find or buy a good sheet music for this piece with proper fingering?

Hey Josh, I have a 61 keys piano. Can you recommend some pieces which can fit in my range? At the moment I'm learning Mozart Alla Turca.
I'm so sorry - I honestly have no idea! Lots of Bach pieces should fit your keyboard I imagine.
+Josh Wright I will look into Bach's work, also I will learn other pieces by Mozart until I buy a new piano. Thank you for the help.
+Benjamin Wilde Chopin etude op 25 no 2

One of the few who understood this waltz does NOT begin with a G#-E sequence !

You should record the piano in a separate microphone. It would improve the quality of your videos drastically.
