No! If Monolith starts going the Dark Souls route with real-time blocking and parry's, I am out. I am a huge fan precisely because they are JRPGS. I don't understand this obsession to turn every JRPG franchise into an action rpg. Stop it. Just no. Not every game needs to reach a wider audience. The evolved ATB system with combos in Xenoblade is already fantastic.
People like you need to allow niche games to exist for fans that LOVE them. I already love it. Don't change it. If you don't love Xenoblade the way it is now, go play modern Final Fantasy (which also turned its back on its fans), or the Mana Series, or Assassin's Creed, or any number of action rpgs. Stop messing up with people's games. 1.5+ million people love these games. If you love these games, you will not want to see big changes but rather improvements. Otherwise, you're a tourist if you just want to change it to a different genre.
I will gatekeep as necessary. Enough of this. They already destroyed Final Fantasy. Xenoblade took that mantle over for me and I won't let people like you destroy it too with your "social influencing". Stop it. Not everything needs to be made for you. Let people enjoy what they enjoy.

Well, the title doesn't give away what it's about whatsoever. We don't even know if it's a monolith soft project, or another studio's that they work on as support, so it could really be anything. If it was BigFolk4, then yeah it would spoil it's Xenoblade 4. Now Legacy could still be that, and having a Legacy project doesn't prevent BF4 to be a project someday too, so... yeah, we just don't know enough yet.
At the end of the day, the news is "Monolith Soft is working", which I wouldn't even consider "news", to be fair. The word "Legacy" is interesting, though, but will be more useful when we get a proper idea of what this project is about, so we can theorize what "Legacy" could mean in that context.
Honestly, my hope is that Legacy is a Xenoblade 3 Warriors game that'll be revealed in this month's direct. Cope? certainly.

Legacy most likely wont be a xenoblade 4 but another X like title to develop an improved engine with the system before making the true bf4, similar to when they made xenoblade 2 off of x's base engine.

A while ago like the year 3 released Takahashi said he'd like to do something old school like with magic and knights and stuff. You don't really a lot of games like that anymore. I feel like combat should be like Persona. That to me would be a real treat.

I agree, I love Monolith Soft and everything they've done, but I'd love a new IP with an action combat system. I like the existing combat but it requires a lot of commitment from the player, and in my busy life I'd prefer something more intuitive like Zelda's :)
Yeah I'd like to see something new from them to spice it up a bit
The Souls games are great and i love them, but i real miss, and after play Xenoblade, games like Xenoblade. Moreover, if the class system was more polished in regards of the class system (like disgaea) i believe we would have one best games ever.
