I totally agree with you love! There is nothing wrong with buying pre-loved. I have to mention something though - there are people out there (they are called "Trolls") that would DELIBERATELY say something just to get a rise out of people. My husband and I play video games and this is very common in the gaming community. You don't see it so much elsewhere but it seems like that it what these people are doing - especially if they are re-making new accounts just to harass you. These people get off on getting you all riled up. The best thing you can do is not to give these people and their negativity any more of your precious time. Love you girl. You keep doing what you do!

When I saw this was a rant I was cautious but OH MY GOD - your comments on pre-loved bags (or really about pre-loved anything) were so relatable. It's a new market and I think the problem is that people who benefit from it (like those who buy the bags and then sell them months later) are the ones who sound like they're attacking you. I think however you can afford a bag is the way to go, and sometimes people barely use their bags before they sell them. The online fashion community used to be a lot more about DIY/high-low and I feel like lately it has gone towards the high side again.

As a luxury bag lover for me there are bags that are worth buying bnew (limited edition/hard-to-find/NM design) but not all, like for example a louis vuitton canvas i find that older versions are more worth it coz of #1 quality and #2 lots of savings $$$. I love buying preloved not just LV but mainly on Balenciaga brands... There's nothing wrong with it...its actually exciting and you're just being practical... Btw you're one of my TOP faves to watch! I love your videos. There will always be people who will say hateful and nasty things to you because they are jealous probably. I admire your collection and eventhough its difficult sometimes to ignore haters, I would say its always better to focus on the positive comments and focus on the people who loves you. Delete the negative comments right away, don't even look at them and always remember to never let the negatives take away your sparkle. Hi Jerusha, I love you and watch every single video, however I don't usually leave comments. I just recently purchased my first ever Louis Vuitton bag (An old model petite Noe) from Fashionphile and I absolutely adore it. The bag is from 1988, and though it may not be in immaculate condition, she is perfect to me and the only "first" luxury bag I will ever have. I applaud you for standing up to nasty comments and supporting pre-loved. After all, we love our luxury for its quality, craftsmanship, and longevity so I feel that every luxury piece new or old that we acquire should be worn with the same amount of pride.
I started watching you many years ago. I did for a long time wish to enter the luxury purchasing market, but I have since reprioritized. But I still watch your blogs and reviews and I enjoy "interacting" with you. This blog is proof positive why. Jerusha, I hope you get to at least read this. You are such an inspiration and this rant truly made me cry in a good way. I'm so glad you made this video with this rant and the video you made with your number one pick for pre loved item. I put myself through college and got really sick and was in and out of the hospital for several years and now I am paying off those loans and I just can't afford to buy brand new. I work hard and saved my money for some pre owned bags and have been saving up to buy my dream watch preloved. I was so proud of the couple of luxury pieces I have but when I read all of the hate it did make me second guess if my pieces are good enough and sometimes makes me feel like I should be embarrassed because I can't afford the brand new ones. I would love to buy from the boutique one day and I used to go into my boutique all of the time but I have recently stopped because I felt like I wasn't good enough to even go in to the boutique since I know I can't afford anything brand new. I even stopped carrying my preloved bags because I was embarrassed and ashamed that I couldn't afford new and would think that people would know I couldn't afford new. But after listening to your rant and your preloved video over and over to give me the courage I finally pulled the trigger and bought me dream rolex watch preloved and pulled out my bags that I Love so much and started using them again. I had been saving up for the watch for a long time and I was going to pull out of buying it because it was not new but you gave me the courage to not be ashamed and to go for it! I just want to thank you and just let you know that you standing up and saying it's okay to buy preloved and sticking up for your subbies is just truly amazing. Spot on rant! I have always saved my money to buy luxury items. However, I've also bought pre-loved. I bought my Pochette Metis, pre-loved in the time between the old style and the new one, when it couldn't be found in the stores. In absolutely perfect condition. I have my eyes on another pre-loved that's no longer produced. I just have to find the right one. Females should be lifting each other up. We don't all have to agree about everything, but we should support each other. Our differences is what makes the world so very interesting.

I think "basic bitches" was a little bit rude and I don't like the expression, but she wasn't attacking anyone personally or putting women in general down. I own two Michael Kors items myself but even I agree that the brand has some of the most generic and shitty/copied designs ever, so "basic" is describing it accurately.
TheVixen113 I have a Michael Kors watch that I absolutely love. I spent good money on it too! I applaud everyone who saves up and buys what their heart desires. It's not about what other people think...it's how you feel about anything you buy. I might not like a Nissan Micra car but if someone buys it and loves it good for them! I hope nobody with MK feels it's not good enough. All brands copy each other and churn out tacky things, Chanel , LV, Hermes, Gucci included. But if you have worked and saved for anything....rock it with style! Besides all these luxury things are just things. It's not that deep.
I'd like to share my pre-loved story. Most of my LV bags are pre-loved because I really like vintage Vuitton. I feel that the materials and construction were better in the 80s-early 2000s. These pieces just *feel* better to me. I also like that I can breathe new life into an old piece, so to speak, by showing that old is just as chic as new. My first LV was pre-loved, from Japan. I didn't even know the same of the bag I wanted: I just saw a picture of it on a fashion blogger's site, and really liked the shape and size. It was a Multipli Cite GM in monogram, and I still have it. At the time, I didn't know a lot about the brand so I went research-crazy. I think it was about this time that I discovered your channel, about 4-5 years ago. Counterfitting has always been a problem in the luxury world, so I researched everything I could about the proper look and feel of the bags, canvas, leather, etc. My point here is that if it wasn't for pre-owned, I wouldn't have the appreciation for the brand that I do today, as the significance in buying new just isn't the same as when you're picking over every little detail of a pre-loved item. I love my new items, of course, but I feel really personally invested in my pre-loved LV and, now, Chanel handbags. So for any of you out there who may doubt your decision to buy pre-loved: don't. There's something very noble about taking something old and making it new and loved again. If you want it, do it. Spend the time, get personally invested, and love what you buy.

But after a while you do realize that items do depreciate in value so once you've had the thrill, why not buy pre-loved and save yourself $$$ and get something in excellent if not pristine condition!! Jerusha, it is appalling that people would say such horrible things to you. Your videos, and those of many other lovely ladies in the luxury community, give such pleasure, happiness and vital information to your subbies. Personally, I find watching them very relaxing after a tough day. Just remember, the people who do these things are very sad and must be very unhappy, dissatisfied human beings. Hate, envy and derisiveness are very negative emotions for the people doing this to you. They are emotions that have no effect on the people they are targeting, but for the people sending them out, they will destroy them. I heard somebody say once, "The smile you send out returns to you," but the opposite is true too.

I really appreciate this rant so much! I'm luckily in a good position where I can purchase a few luxury goods but before that I watched your videos to enjoy the designer bags I couldn't afford. I don't think anyone should ever be shamed for purchasing something preloved. Personally those comments would not bother me but I'm sure they've influenced some people into backing out of their purchases they've been dreaming of making.

I had someone comment on one of my videos just last week that "why would I make luxury item videos with my hair messy and no makeup and not dressed up because I look like a slob." What the hell gives people the right to say this crap? I've only been to a LV store once, it was the Maison store in George Street. I walked to the back of the shop to look at a bag and the doorman shouted at me from across the store not to touch the bag. I was mortified and promptly left. There was no sign to advise customers not to touch, and he could have instructed me quietly. I was work/corporate dressed - so it wasn't as though I looked like I couldn't afford it. It's actually put me off ever buying from LV. I love watching how exciting you get about their bags, but that experience ruined it for me.

I totally agree with you love! There is nothing wrong with buying pre-loved.
I have to mention something though - there are people out there (they are called "Trolls") that would DELIBERATELY say something just to get a rise out of people. My husband and I play video games and this is very common in the gaming community. You don't see it so much elsewhere but it seems like that it what these people are doing - especially if they are re-making new accounts just to harass you. These people get off on getting you all riled up. The best thing you can do is not to give these people and their negativity any more of your precious time.

When I saw this was a rant I was cautious but OH MY GOD - your comments on pre-loved bags (or really about pre-loved anything) were so relatable. It's a new market and I think the problem is that people who benefit from it (like those who buy the bags and then sell them months later) are the ones who sound like they're attacking you. I think however you can afford a bag is the way to go, and sometimes people barely use their bags before they sell them. The online fashion community used to be a lot more about DIY/high-low and I feel like lately it has gone towards the high side again.

As a luxury bag lover for me there are bags that are worth buying bnew (limited edition/hard-to-find/NM design) but not all, like for example a louis vuitton canvas i find that older versions are more worth it coz of #1 quality and #2 lots of savings $$$. I love buying preloved not just LV but mainly on Balenciaga brands... There's nothing wrong with it...its actually exciting and you're just being practical... Btw you're one of my TOP faves to watch! I admire your collection and eventhough its difficult sometimes to ignore haters, I would say its always better to focus on the positive comments and focus on the people who loves you. Hi Jerusha, I love you and watch every single video, however I don't usually leave comments. I just recently purchased my first ever Louis Vuitton bag (An old model petite Noe) from Fashionphile and I absolutely adore it. The bag is from 1988, and though it may not be in immaculate condition, she is perfect to me and the only "first" luxury bag I will ever have. I applaud you for standing up to nasty comments and supporting pre-loved. After all, we love our luxury for its quality, craftsmanship, and longevity so I feel that every luxury piece new or old that we acquire should be worn with the same amount of pride.
I started watching you many years ago. I did for a long time wish to enter the luxury purchasing market, but I have since reprioritized. But I still watch your blogs and reviews and I enjoy "interacting" with you. This blog is proof positive why. I'm so glad you made this video with this rant and the video you made with your number one pick for pre loved item. I put myself through college and got really sick and was in and out of the hospital for several years and now I am paying off those loans and I just can't afford to buy brand new. I work hard and saved my money for some pre owned bags and have been saving up to buy my dream watch preloved. I was so proud of the couple of luxury pieces I have but when I read all of the hate it did make me second guess if my pieces are good enough and sometimes makes me feel like I should be embarrassed because I can't afford the brand new ones. I would love to buy from the boutique one day and I used to go into my boutique all of the time but I have recently stopped because I felt like I wasn't good enough to even go in to the boutique since I know I can't afford anything brand new. I even stopped carrying my preloved bags because I was embarrassed and ashamed that I couldn't afford new and would think that people would know I couldn't afford new. But after listening to your rant and your preloved video over and over to give me the courage I finally pulled the trigger and bought me dream rolex watch preloved and pulled out my bags that I Love so much and started using them again. I had been saving up for the watch for a long time and I was going to pull out of buying it because it was not new but you gave me the courage to not be ashamed and to go for it! I just want to thank you and just let you know that you standing up and saying it's okay to buy preloved and sticking up for your subbies is just truly amazing. And I just want you to know that you at least changed one life. My life for the better. I can't thank you enough and even now I am crying while writing this to you. Spot on rant! I have always saved my money to buy luxury items. However, I've also bought pre-loved. I bought my Pochette Metis, pre-loved in the time between the old style and the new one, when it couldn't be found in the stores. In absolutely perfect condition. I have my eyes on another pre-loved that's no longer produced. I just have to find the right one.
Females should be lifting each other up. We don't all have to agree about everything, but we should support each other. Our differences is what makes the world so very interesting.

I think "basic bitches" was a little bit rude and I don't like the expression, but she wasn't attacking anyone personally or putting women in general down. I own two Michael Kors items myself but even I agree that the brand has some of the most generic and shitty/copied designs ever, so "basic" is describing it accurately.

I hope nobody with MK feels it's not good enough. All brands copy each other and churn out tacky things, Chanel , LV, Hermes, Gucci included. I'd like to share my pre-loved story.
Most of my LV bags are pre-loved because I really like vintage Vuitton. I feel that the materials and construction were better in the 80s-early 2000s. These pieces just *feel* better to me. I also like that I can breathe new life into an old piece, so to speak, by showing that old is just as chic as new.
My first LV was pre-loved, from Japan. I didn't even know the same of the bag I wanted: I just saw a picture of it on a fashion blogger's site, and really liked the shape and size. It was a Multipli Cite GM in monogram, and I still have it. At the time, I didn't know a lot about the brand so I went research-crazy. I think it was about this time that I discovered your channel, about 4-5 years ago. Counterfitting has always been a problem in the luxury world, so I researched everything I could about the proper look and feel of the bags, canvas, leather, etc.
My point here is that if it wasn't for pre-owned, I wouldn't have the appreciation for the brand that I do today, as the significance in buying new just isn't the same as when you're picking over every little detail of a pre-loved item. I love my new items, of course, but I feel really personally invested in my pre-loved LV and, now, Chanel handbags.
So for any of you out there who may doubt your decision to buy pre-loved: don't. There's something very noble about taking something old and making it new and loved again. If you want it, do it. Spend the time, get personally invested, and love what you buy.

But after a while you do realize that items do depreciate in value so once you've had the thrill, why not buy pre-loved and save yourself $$$ and get something in excellent if not pristine condition!! Jerusha, it is appalling that people would say such horrible things to you. Your videos, and those of many other lovely ladies in the luxury community, give such pleasure, happiness and vital information to your subbies. Personally, I find watching them very relaxing after a tough day. Just remember, the people who do these things are very sad and must be very unhappy, dissatisfied human beings. Hate, envy and derisiveness are very negative emotions for the people doing this to you. They are emotions that have no effect on the people they are targeting, but for the people sending them out, they will destroy them. I heard somebody say once, "The smile you send out returns to you," but the opposite is true too.

I really appreciate this rant so much! I'm luckily in a good position where I can purchase a few luxury goods but before that I watched your videos to enjoy the designer bags I couldn't afford. I don't think anyone should ever be shamed for purchasing something preloved. Personally those comments would not bother me but I'm sure they've influenced some people into backing out of their purchases they've been dreaming of making.

I personally believe the entire point of a luxury investment purchase is it holds value and can be re-sold. If people did not buy pre-loved items, it would not be a sound investment. Would you take this approach in buying a used car, home or other major purchase...maybe some would not, but millions do.

I've only been to a LV store once, it was the Maison store in George Street. I walked to the back of the shop to look at a bag and the doorman shouted at me from across the store not to touch the bag. I was mortified and promptly left. There was no sign to advise customers not to touch, and he could have instructed me quietly. I was work/corporate dressed - so it wasn't as though I looked like I couldn't afford it. It's actually put me off ever buying from LV. I love watching how exciting you get about their bags, but that experience ruined it for me.

Hey Hun love you're videos sending you a lot of positive vibes there's nothing wrong with preloved luxury some of us starting our collections need to start somewhere and sometimes the preloved items are better quality also you should be proud of all that you do for being a mum and you look fabulous! And regarding preloved items...that, to me, is the smart way to purchase luxury. You can find items in like new condition without the new price! Win-win! I also purchase antiques, and I have some people make comments that antique items are "gross". I just don't understand that mentality, and furthermore don't care! Keep being you and enjoy! 😘
