- I went to Collect-a-con for the first time! Besides not saving up enough money I had an absolute blast seeing all the old and new pokemon cards. Although I went for other items, such as Retro Video games and Pokemon VHS Tapes I still had a really good time at Collect-a-con 2021 in Houston, Texas!

Going on a Sunday for the vendor hall can be hit or miss. Sometimes they will do deals on the last day though.
Oh most definitely! I've seen Retro Game Conventions cut huge deals on items, but sadly I just wasn't this lucky around

It was mostly cards and a few comics. There was like only one video game section, and my uncle bought star fox 64. There was also a small VHS area where he talked non stop about the movies and stuff. I think there was a few Pokémon first movie tape. Also this was a Saturday. So I got all the good stuff and Vanilla Ice
I did get a cool gym badge case and a few 25th anniversary cards
@@geekotfg3752 I had a great time nonetheless though! I heard that Saturday was like the true day to go since everyone has the good stuff on the first day. I actually do want to go next year with a lot more money though!

Do you get deals at Pokémon cards here than buying them online?
There's always the possibility, just depends on the seller of course. Sometimes they'll cut deals, but sometimes they'll act like theirs is the only one in the world

Hello! I usually only like to go for 1 day at any convention just because cost of ticket + I usually feel like I only need 1 day to check everything out. (Also depends on the events that the convention has)
@@Nichslvl ohh I meant is the last day not as eventful as the first day? Or was there a particular reason you would've preferred not going on a Sunday. I know in the video you mentioned only going on Sunday bc you & your group all had that day off but advising not to go on the last day.

Do you recommend going both days or can you get everything you need out of 1 day?
Personally, I'm always okay with just going for 1 day, just because I like to go mainly for the experience, but if there are any events on different days someone would be up to go for, I think that'd be the main reason to go separate days as well.

I'm not too sure, but I know that different conventions I've gone to in the past USUALLY ask for about $100 signatures
