I have a moringa tree and we prune it regularly and give what looks like a bare stick to friends and neighbors and if you stick them in the ground, they grow into a tree. It's an amazing plant.
I recently bought a moringa tree a couple months ago. I also gathered some seeds from a friend to plant some more. Can't wait to see then flourishing. How do you like to use yours?
Nice sharing I am in zone 8b and we have had really hard frosts this winter. But I have still started loads of cool weather vegetable and flower seeds under cover.
I bring my basil in if it gets to be 38 2 40 but in the area we are in even if there is not a frost advisory if the temperature still shows 38 degrees I typically cover or run my irrigation in the middle of the night when temperatures drop. You don't have to cover everything only your Frost tender plants.
Google your ZIP code to find out what your gardening zone is. If you go to Farmers Almanac online they should have a map where you can figure out your Zone.
Israel would be a Mediterranean climate somewhat similar to parts of California. You might consider comparing your climate with ours. I’m in the Central Valley of CA and the difference between 9a, 9b & 10 is less than 100 km and a few hundred meters of elevation. My guess is Israel varies similarly.
Do you have a fig tree? Has it been happy in our zone? I missed a TON of your videos so I wasn't sure if you mentioned it... I'll be trying to watch more as I can. I'm really struggling with ants everywhere and wonder what you use.
Not sure about your situation, but I have found ants generally colonizing under hard surfaces like concrete slabs with entries at the edges or cracks. We make what we call ant juice and apply it liberally at the entrance. Ant juice is: 1 part boric acid (Borax works) 8 parts sugar 64 parts water We have an old plastic 1/2 gallon jug with all sorts of poison warnings written on it and add a cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of Borax. I think the warm water helps dissolve the solids but we also give it a day and a few shakes to fully disperse. Because our applications are focused, we’ve never seen a problem with it affecting our pets either.
Also, you may know this already but to save from buying seed starting soil I’ve recently learned making it with 3 simple ingredients: organic coco bliss bricks that you dissolve with warm water, worm castings, and vermiculite. There’s a gal in California by the name of Kim and under her description are links to buy the products, 2 of which are on Amazon.
Yes, I know you can definitely mix to make your own seed soil but where I buy my seed starting soil they come in big bags and for the price that it costs for the big bag it makes sense to buy it over the three different bags. This may be different from other areas. Thank you for the info!
I actually have two events next weekend one right after the other you could go to the website and click workshops and it will take you to check out. Www.southerndirtfarmandgarden.com
I’m 9b, Land o lakes, I started broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage seeds on Jan 8th. They are about 3-4 inches tall. Is it worth transplanting to containers now in early feb? Or is it going to be too hot? I didn’t notice the packs said start july-oct and july-dec. Don’t want to waste my time
I had bought some Moringa starts and products from youtuber: Grow Moringa and his name is Kendrick Henry and he plants his seeds in a cone shape style container. He’s located in Plant City, Florida. He makes oil, salt bombs for bathing, tea, spice, soap, ect. and sales a lot of his products at local farmers markets in the Tampa region. Hope that helps 😃
Love watching someone in the same zone. Your garden looks great!
Thanks!! That was always my struggle was trying to find someone in my zone and that was one of the reasons I started my channel.
You can make chow chow with the green tomatoes.
Thanks for the tip! I'll have to look that up.
Great video. Thank you . So much good information. I can't believe the head on your sunflower so big

Wonderful!! Thanks for watching
Love the moringa! I planted them this last year, and harvested the fresh leaves. I don’t have pods yet, but will allow a couple to grow to seed.
I'll be giving you an update on how they do soon. How do you like to eat them?
Are you still doing the event in Sebring for local gardeners ?
I would like to! If I do I will share here and on my social media accounts.

Where do you get your wood chip mulch?
I had a tree company drop it off for free🎉
Are you direct sowing these crops?
I plant all my seeds in trays with exception of root vegetables, beans and peas.
cool C'mon

Yes, I do and keep propagating more.
Yes that is what I use. They seem to move around when I use that.

Those should be fine because the are frost hardy.
