Normally when you are cable testing. There are done in sets of three (Three phase 13.8kV). Typically you compare the three. If one is very low compared to the other two. Then it would be up for concern. IF there all low. (kV low) You have a connected ground somewhere. Now assuming this is a 13.8kV distribution transformer having a wye connection...you probably know where I'm getting to. According to NETA standard the min IR resistance for a 15kV cable is 5 megaohms.
I'm subscribed to your RUclips channel and I really enjoy the content and information you provide on maintenance and testing.
Excellent. Thank you for having this available
U are the best, man!
Dear excellent things for learning. you did it great
This is excellent. Thank you very much!
Thank for sharing
Do you need to remove the cable from SWGR before the cable test? What are the cons if the cable is connected on both ends of it?
Thanks for this upload. Respects.
Thanks .sir .but I have a question what about using mejjer for testing a wire (line and natural ) used as a lighting homerun
Thanks for the vid, i have a question, what is the minimum insulation resistance of MV cable (13.8kV) for it it can be considered healthy cable?

the question is how many mega ohm is acceptable for testing a medium voltage..low voltage cable.
+rolando cera kk
10 mega ohm's minimum insulation resistance
Thank you!!
Please part 2
greatly appreciate for you kind time that you gave to make this video and uploaded. this video helps a lot. I hope you will upload more videos
Excellent, just what I wanted. Where is part 2 please.
Great stuff! But what happened to part 2?
Good inform
Really good video, This video cover exacly whay I needed to learn. Is there the second part somewhere? Thank you in advance.
Why black cable connect in conductor red cable in screen or armored
what percent of difference constitute a failure between cables
What happened to part two? Its everything that I want to learn.
Thanks. Where is part two ?
PERFECT ,BUT WHERE IS PART2
Thank you!!
thank you
