Yeet Boi tbh Jessica sounds like a middle aged woman when she is 17 years. I honestly liked her 3DS voice better, it suited her better than this version. hate me whatever.
The more I watch these death scenes and what happens after, the more I realize that maybe every death you see happen has a lesson to teach. Jessica denies her "family's tradition" and the traditional "ladylike" norms to avenge her brother. *(don't blindly follow tradition)* Instead of running to safety, Abbot Francisco believes that the goddess will save him from his death... and foolishly dies anyway. *(foolish to place too much faith in the holy entity you believe in)* Dominico realizes how much of a bully he's been to his servant, David, after he's been killed. *(don't be a fucking bully)* When Marta sends her son, Merak, nook grass, he realizes how much she still loves and cares for him despite him leaving her alone in her home outside the village. She uses the last moments of her life to save his life. *(your mother will always love and support you)* A bonus: When King Pavan witnesses Ishmahri's illusion and remembers how Sasha wanted him to live his life, he stops grieving and stops feeling depressed and alone. She tells him to stand strong for his kingdom and its people.
Correction: Francisco didn't believe that the Goddess would save him. He simply stated that no harm would come to him if the Goddess didn't allow it. And, considering the outcome of the game, I wouldn't be surprised she wanted it to happen.
If you talk to her mother after this cutscene she talks about how she'll "come back with her tail between her legs." I haven't played this game in years, but I remember that.
Follow your dreams means follow your dreams But you know what her mother is a Bitch Jessica will grow up to be a fine Mother to her own family instead of the family she used to have. Yes I know this game because my brother owns it
I mean, on paper yes. But Jessica IS in fact one of the most talented mages in the game world. She becomes a master magician in a few months time. So she IS right to follow her heart.
Wow, why all this overacting? I dropped the ps2 version a few years ago and I'm now playing it on Android. Its a great game, but I kinda preffer it without voice acting.
+Tony Horo Same, I'm currently playing the Android version, and this is the first time I'm hearing Jessica's voice. Wow, just NOT how I imagined it... I hate the fake accent and she sounds waaaay to old.
TheArtkaw ***** Actually the game was dubbed in UK, which kinda matches with the medieval tone of the series. Also, I've dropped the Android version too =/ Since Ninty announced they're gonna localize the 3ds version (alongside DQ7), I might give this game a third chance.
You're right about the overacting - It sounded pretty over the top that I thought it was watching Mary Poppins all over again. Yangus' VA nails it from what I've seen, though. The Android had some pretty great features that streamlined the experience, but the 3DS should be the best way to play it. There's something amazing about playing this game on the go.
TheArtkaw I had my moments playing it everyday on the way to my work and it was fun while I didnt have to grind. The 3ds version doesnt have random encounters, so all the monsters appears on the world map, making it a better experience overall. Hope they've kept the orchestred music from the american version, cuz it was awesome.
It’s crazy how much better Jessica’s voice actor is in the PS2 version.
Oh my god the voice acting in this game is so good!
they changed Jessica's voice in the remake for the 3ds :/

@@sonicthehedge I don't hate you.
She does sound younger, but she blows the dramatic scenes and the possession scenes.

I would like to see Bangerz and Mash as adult warriors.
In spanish version they were called Visi and Godo XD

“Thanks for being such a great mum! Have a nice life!”
Hahahaha! One of the reasons why Jessica is my favourite Dragon Quest character!
Come to think of it, Rosalind have a large bust size too. I guess it runs in the family.
also u can get jessicas out fit after this
I agree with everyone else. This argument sounds plain stupid lol
Follow your dreams means follow your dreams

This argument is so dumb. Jessica is just crazy, and her mom's logic doesn't make any sense. =P
I'm definitely not a fan of the Alexandria plot-line.

No comments how's about this blare
Why does this 17 year old sound like a middle aged woman?
The same reason she has the figure of a Playboy Bunny.
