Nico Jackson is very underrated. He is the Harry Kane type of striker (dropping deep) He will get better through time with his passing and finishing. We just need to be patient with the project.
Osimhen has the potential to make us title chasers... but it feels more likely he could hurt us. It could either be really good for Nico to learn from a better more experienced striker or his progress could stall and he could flop. Osimhen is such a risky move it worries me. Idk what to think
The Felix goal was such a special moment. Netos willing to run beyond behind defenders. Madueke pinning his defender to create the lane for Felix. And what a finish. It's the "debut" Felix deserved and its amazing the players gave him that moment.
@@pauloparracho1236 We did five minutes later when he refused to make a pass at the right time, insisted on warming the ball, and then ended up passing to a Wolves guy. Wasting the attack, wasting the chance, giving them a shot at a counter. I can sort of tolerate that when we're up 6-2 but it's not a good look.
I’m sure many of us don’t want to get ahead of ourselves but this was the sort of feel good performance we’ve been begging for. For a long time. Last season the players folded under pressure and allowed physical teams to bully them. This truly felt like a coming of age for the team. They’ve always had the talent but it seems like they’re finally moving in the right direction mentally. If they can play with this level of confidence and poise going forward there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.
It's one game. Fantastic result, but don't get carried away. From what I have seen over the past 2 seasons, my opinion hasn't changed. Many Chelsea fans stated we did not need Cole Palmer. I was not one of those, and I'm sure all Chelsea fans are glad he is a major part of our team. Quite a few Chelsea fans wanted Noni Madueke 'out'. I was not one of them. He is obviously an extremely talented/gifted player. Jackson is NOT a striker, but he does possess classic touches on occasions and is a far better player, coming from a deeper position. Credit to Sanchez; his vision for playing that long pass, was excellent. Still not 100% convinced but happy if he proves me wrong. Enzo is a magnificent player. Great vision for the game and his passing ability is exceptional. I like him as Captain. He displayed his leadership qualities last season during the 'fight' on who will take the penalty, and he has shown these attributes again already this season and will only improve. Pochitino! One reason, and one reason only I wanted him to stay, and that was 'team spirit' amongst the players, which Poch could take credit for. However, I've never seen a team have so much possession, but absolute 'pointless passing'. Now we have witnessed passing going side to side, backwards but, there is an obvious purpose, Diagonal runs, ball played in through the gaps between opposing players, turning what is seemingly going nowhere, to attack, movement at speed made a huge difference. Hats off to Enzo Maresca. Early days but hopefully will we see his tactics bring Chelsea back to the team that was once feared. We do need a STRIKER though.
I was unhappy with the manager swap at the time but I am happy that the new manager doesn’t have the Tottenham stink attached. It makes the big wins feel so much more meaningful and hopefully we can play better if we make a final this year.
I love thar Maresca actually gives us clear answers. And i gotta say I haven't seen Chelsea turn around like that after a half time talk with the manager since Tuchel. Thats so good to see.
Tbh when it comes to Colwill I haven't seen what everybody sees yet. Stats will never mean more to me then the eye test. He gets twisted by defenders on a regular. 8 times out of ten he gets bypassed very easily. He's not fast enough tracking back. And in the air he's doesnt clear balls enough. It doesn't matter if his passing is elite or if he's captain material. He's a Center Back. Till he DEFENDS in an ELITE manner, everything else won't be enough for me. Tosin has been the most trust worthy CB for me in the past month. Fofana I get. He's been out for too long. But he's progressing well for me.
Chelsea won everton 6 nil April this year with a Cole Palmer Hatric and one goal. I'm grateful for the win but we've got to be ready for tougher times ahead
I feel like people are forgetting from Boxing day we have been on par with Liverpool as third best behind Arsenal and Man City. We only lost To Wolves, Liber and Arsenal away in the second leg. Those 2-2 draws with Sheffield and Burnley were frustrating, but we van make a case that we have been improving since Noxing day win 2-1 vs palace. Mow,the manager is only making it look much better.
Jackson went under a lot of people's radars for his overall performance. His runs, aerial duels, link up and hold up play were excellent. He's perfect for this system. His goal and assist were just the icing on the cake. Osimhen would upset the balance, I feel.
I don’t know if he would upset the balance, but signing him makes so many other players have less minutes who need minutes for recovery or their development. If we want Jackson to get better he needs actual game time. Same with Misha but I think Misha should leave on loan cameos won’t help him.
My only worry is the GK & CBs. We've landed a proper manager who doesn't carry any passengers. His playing style is great so direct and aggressive. The team is exciting!
Though everyone is entitled to their opinions, nontheless, facts are facts. You are spot on about the Blue's CDs. Cfc was taken to cleaner when the club paid over 200M for Caisedo and Fernandes. My rating for CDs and MF versus Wolves are 4s and 3.5 for Caisedo and 4 for Fernandes.

It's so amazing that at the second half we scored 3 quick goals without letting Wolves get a sniff. It was night and day difference during Poch's stint. Cold Palmer and Fire Madueke!
