I won the competition... it was 1985 Intervision Cup. Interesting fact: I was the very first gymnast EVER to hold the ball with back arch. I came up with it when i was 9 years old. I was very inovative at an early age. By the time Intervision Cup came along I had perfected it. 2 years later Neshka Robeva came to me and asked me if I would teach it to Bianka Panova (who was a friend of mine) - so it ended up in her Ball routine- '87 World Championship.

I miss the old live piano days too....and remember how, since the rule was technically that you could only have one musical instrument per routine (not necessarily piano), some girls had drums or other creative choices like that? I felt that it forced you to be more creative and daring.
Yes , Before 1985 , only one instrument and it had to be piano , after the 1984 Olympics still only one instrument but it could be something else than piano , like drums yes (search dunavska'1986 Ball routine) and after the 1988 Olympics , full orchestration was allowded.
