I understand the pressure that students feel. A good grade can mean a better future and happy parents. A bad grade can mean a broke future and menial jobs. What a pity that students can't take the time to learn to love Shakespeare's plays. Genius inspires genius. Higher learning should be just that, inspiration to lofty thinking. Not a prerequisite for life's "job faire." Best Wishes to students wherever you are. May you be inspired.
Well if you didnt make it a requirement then how do you filter out the bad apples? People who have completed higher education are on average far smarter. As such, many good paying jobs will require it. What you suggest dosnt work irl.
@@winstonzhou4595 I was wondering about that. It would I think be interesting to see how the great schism or the year of four emperors would play out in GoT, too.

Historically, King Richard III was never really tyrannical (proportionate to all the other kings and queens) and he claimed the throne legitimately after Edward IV's death, as the two heirs were too young to assume power; this rise to power took place without the murder of anyone, and was quite an uneventful and banal change of power. the reason why he lost his power was because he was an inexperienced (and thus highly unsupported) king.

English history has been distorted for that relatively short period so that everyone can enjoy their favorite Shakespearean Snidely Whiplash. Sad. The real story is slowly emerging and it is much more interesting, but because of the ingrown resistance to changing an established meme it will always be secondary. England missed a possible period of growth in improvement in the legal status of its population. But hey, the Tudors are so much more "interesting".
I see you too have waited until the last minute to write your essay.
me fr and i havent even read the play lol
Nah its my finals
XD
how’d you know?!?? 💀
Wrong, I have to make a movie poster

The school curriculum is building diamonds under pressure , that’s how critical thinking sprouts

this really helped clear up some plot points before writing a paper, thanks!
this plot makes my head spin. or im just stupid. idk
Same, too many characters, too complicated to understand it in 15 minutes
Watch the hollow crown. It's a high budget version of the henriad and has all 7 plays so it's easier to follow and has all the context.

Excellent summary. Well written and compellingly told.
Great video! Loved how much attention was poured into the graphics and the explanation.
Great video! I watched this in preparation for an audition, and I feel very much prepared; thank you!
i have the exam tomorrow . so i hope it helps me too
Did you get it?
@@krystofgrygargrygar8826 unfortunately, I did not. But the play was still very enjoyable to watch!
Thanks for posting this. I've graduated from school long ago. I'd like to have a little more understanding before I watch the play.
I hate to be pedantic but Richmond landed in Pembrokeshire. Don't let a Welshman hear you say he landed on England's West coast.
There are many inaccuracies, but Shakespeare was playing to Queen Elizabeth about her noble grandfather.
I’m so confused.. what do you mean?
Thank you for simplifying the drama.❤😊
One can easily see the prototype of highly political plots like game of thrones and dune in Shakespeare's historic plays.
game of thrones is loosely based on this and the events surrounding this event (The Wars of the Roses)

Really, how about the two princes in the tower, one who actually the rightful heir
Richard became regent because Edward V was too young to rule. However that did not entitle Richard to usurp the crown.

This is more so drama than history.
Well it’s a Shakespearean drama
This thing about King Richard the 3rd being a bad guy with a hunched back is incorrect. This is just what Shakespeare wrote…
He had bad scoliosis.
His right shoulder was higher than his left, and his torso relatively short compared to his limbs.
Yea he had a very bad case of scoliosis - we have a skeleton - it’s literally tht simple
