When I heard her version, her voice immediately reminded me of Amy Lee, the singer in the band Evanescence. They both have incredible tone and control. Just beautiful.

There’s a certain magic that comes from singing from your soul…you do it amazingly, and it made Belle such a joy to watch.

the english lyrics left a stronger emotional impact on me. in part due to that there were words i could resonate with, and in part due to mcneill's excellent performance.

Is it just me or do i relate to this song a lot, i have a lot of worries and anxiety piling up and i look back at days before all these worries and anxiety came into my brain, with the addition that i assume that the people around me are living a life with no drama nor problems in their lives, and i always wonder if times will get better.

I rarely like it when songs get translated but Kylie McNeil has made me appreciate the English version so much I’ve listen to it more than the Japanese original now.

I don't know what it is. Call it lost dreams, an imaginary friend/companion, friends, childhood itself, or some, unnamed thing. This song, the beautiful singing and music, the line(s), "A life without you I cannot accept. I can't tell that lie. But now that you're gone, I have to move on..." hits as hard as a freight train to a car yet as comforting, flowing, but slowly eroding as a stream to a riverbed. I have yet to fully, actually cry, even shed a tear to this song. But my insides, my very soul is wailing while I listen. I don't have good singing voice, so I don't sing aloud, but I pretend and wish to sing/shout this song at the top of my lungs, as if pleading to the whole world, nay the universe, to give me back something I've lost, that yet nameless thing.
Thank you, whoever wrote this song, even if this was not your intention nor intended message. And thank you, Kylie McNeill, for singing so resoundingly beautifully.

Belle is one of very few movies/anime where I thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese AND American English performances, to include the music. The latter is very difficult to accomplish, and you've managed to pull it off masterfully, GKIDS. Kylie? You're a gem. I look forward to more performances from you in the near future. Well done. :-)
Crazy coincidence that both japanese and english voice actors sound extremely similar and are both really talented in both voice acting and singing
I can count the number of times that I’ve cried in a movie theater on one hand, but Belle made me cry six times. And not because it was sad. Because it was so BEAUTIFUL. The story, the animation and the message were all amazing. Kylie absolutely rocked the English Dub, and I cannot wait to see it again on DVD.
I will literally listen to anything she sings. I don't care if she's singing a phonebook, I would love it. Please sing every song ever from now on.

I've just finished watching Belle, this has a haunting but beautiful timbre, it's been in my head all day, I love it, it does remind me a little bit of Mune from the Macross Plus movie, your voice has certainly been a powerful one that's been resonating all day, every now and then I hear a song and an artist I know i'll hear for the rest of my days, that makes me want to step back in to moving towards singing again, this and you are one of those.
Like Belle though, I lost my song voice a long time ago.

the one things thats separate belle with other anime is the music, its just hit and spot on, once i heard it is just hit me like punch on my guts and the night after i left the cinema i listen to the english version, its just feel the same way as the japanese version which is very rare, whenever i listen some english version of japanese song its feels a bit odd, like it lose its magic, but not with belle... its just spot on.
Anyway ended up watching it three times in cinema, it such a pleasure to watch it on the big screen.
My wife and I just stared at each other the 1st time we heard Belle's voice in the theater.... we were NOT expecting that from the movie. Such a classic!!!

Gobsmacked. I am absolutely stunned by this performance. As someone who has always played instruments and sung, I am struck by the mastery displayed in this performance and I wonder how many people in the world could pull off this crazy demanding song at the level at which this artist does. I am confident that it is not a large number. I’ve been doing this for 44 years and I don’t deserve to even be in the same room as this performer. Miraculous!
