Kind of rattled to hear this...just settled on selling my stratus jacket since I got my fanatic. Decided I'd get more use out of a stratus vest now that I have the fanatic
@@daneblock6 I guess it depends where you’re at. Im in So IL so it gets cold but not as many days that I need the full fanatic suit. I use fanatic vest over stratus also
Really trying to figure out if the ambient 200, 100, or the traverse would be better under the stratus for stationary hunting. It looks like the ambient series is targeted at active hunting. I walk max 150 yards to my stands, so I really need something that shines when sitting still. What are your thoughts? Love the content!
I have the traverse and the ambient jacket. Ambient is by far the best jacket for layering. Just as warm as the traverse but does not pinch or bind when wearing a jacket overtop. Ambient is the best Sitka jacket you can buy for all around comfort, warmth, breathability
Thanks for the video man, you always come up with excellent videos. One thing though, jacket seems a bit short, when u lifted ur arm to pull, I could see some of your stomach... Is it a short cut? should we get the long version?
I just switched to Sitka and I bought the stratus. This is the exact review I was looking for thank you. Sure hope they make a zip off pant ambient. Do you have any recommendations on a zip off insulation mid layer?
@@millz__ I just ordered the Pnuma alpha vertex to layer under their rain gear. Seems like a great set but it’s louder so idk if I’ll use the jacket as a standalone. But the 3L pants and the alpha vertex pants pair very nice. The double zips will be nice for late season venting.

I have the ambient in the zip jacket without hood and I have the ambient 1/2 zip pull over hoody.

@@millz__ just fyi the pnuma 3l rain suit is the most breathable and quietest rain gear Iv ever ran. Makes the Sitka jet stream seem loud.
