Make a Face Mask Lanyard out of Paracord
HTML-код

- Facemasks work better if they are not constantly touched or set on dirty surfaces. Make a paracord face mask lanyard so you can hang it around your neck instead. This easy necklace uses zero knots and is great for kids as they go back to school.

I like the 2nd one since I don't have clasps at the moment. I did mine on microcord and I suggest since the mask is disposable is to do a quick release knot to easily replace the mask.
Since I didn't have the hardware easily available, I made mine without, using the knot on the mask ear pieces, and using a ranger bead in the middle to hold on the sliding ranger bead used to tighten the lanyard against my head. When I wore it for the first time, I lost count of how many people asked me where I got it, and how to get one! This is a great idea, especially for those masks that have ear pieces that don't fit, are too lose, etc. This is the first time since the pandemic started that I haven't had to adjust my mask, and I never had to touch it, only the cords of the lanyard! Thanks!
That's awesome! Glad to hear you got so many compliments. Thanks for sharing the story with us!
Lori Burgett a sliding ranger bead is perfect!
I've been trying to figure this double knot one for years. THANK YOU
I loved them both!! I think I would pick the one with the hardware. It would be much easier for my grandkids to adjust their masks in school. Thank you for a great tutorial!!!
Love the special hardware..
Great job explaining the knots! I was able to follow along-- thank you!
Can I just say Thank you for sharing I was so exited to make these. Now I'm making them for everyone.
Me TOO!
Wooowwww you are so smart, thank you for sharing your talent, can’t wait to make it.❤️❤️❤️
AWESOME!!! TY!!!
My 1st choice is with the extra hardware. RE: I have a lot of difficulty with my hands and this is far easier than tying and untying notes. But both solutions are excellent.
Notes - Knots
Thank you so much for posting this video for us. So awesome! You rock!!!! Stay well and safe!! Love them both but last one is really interesting. Thank you for your ingenuity!
Thank you so much!
Aaahhh I like them both.🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻
Words after watching.....
Dude ! ! This is fantastic
No hardware
And the knot idea is awesome
Glad you liked it!
Gave you an up vote. But I highly recommend that every lanyard have some kind of "break away" mechanism. Ultimately, a lanyard goes around your neck, hangs down, and can be snagged on something. It can be a chocking/hanging hazard. Those paper masks might tear on their own, but I'm not sure. Cord locks might slip off if there is NOT a knot securing the cord lock from slipping off. There is commercial breakaway hardware available.
I like both. I would do a combo. Use the 2 small clasps and the fisherman knot. I'm definitely going to make these.
I see that you are out of stock on the clasps on both your website and Amazon. When do you foresee restocking? TIA
Thanks for sharing

Excellent idea and looks simple. FYI: The hottest point of a flame is directly above the tip.
Can v use this for number glasses
Hi, what diameter paracord did you use in this video? Are the clips the same with the ones I can find in the link posted? Thank you!
Great hacks, thx! Would love it if you could teach tying the knots a little slower/better. Because of that I had to buy the clasps, and unfortunately the paracord i bought was too small for the holes, so even burning them at the end didn't produce the same results as yours. So I tied knots, and then burnt, but they don't look as neat and clean as yours. Wish it was easier to match up paracord and clasps, haha! If we purchase your clasps, what dimension paracord do we use? 550?
Sorry to hear you had problems with sizing. Yes, our 550 is the right size to use with these clasps.
what diameter paracord did you use to match the end of the clip? I want to use a clip with a 4.5mm hole, so which do you recommend so that I can use the lighter/burn it/have it not slip through? thanks!
Our 550 paracord is 4mm thick, so that should work well with a 4.5mm hole.
@@ParacordPlanet thank you!
Cool beans. I am taking notes. I am gonna make these for me and my friends. Is there a specific diameter of paracord I should order? AHH , never mind! I see you intelligently put the ordering info in the links. Thank you!!!
I ordered the stuff, in purple, my color.
I like the idea of a cord lock functioning as am ear saver but how do you prevent it from accidentally slipping off?
I like to tie an overhand knot in the cord, past the cord lock. That way there is a maximum size and the cord lock stays on the string. I often see this method on clothing, such as a rain coat with a bungee around the bottom.
Could you please post the link to the hardware supplies. I want to make these. Great video!
Sure! Links can be found in the description.
Yes, but it's difficult finding the right size clasp hole for the paracord. Wish it was a little more specific, thanks!
Oooooh. I'll use paper clips to secure the mask in place for the 2nd option.

2020: flexing with a lanyard on a mask
Just so not to waste paracord......how much did you cut off to make the cord even? You started with 3 feet, so if cord can be saved, it means more mask lanyards to make, thanks for this vid, it uses half the cord, the cobra weave i was using for ear savers
It depends on how long you want the lanyard to be, but you could probably get away with 2 ft. for each (purple version with hardware).
Where did you buy the hardware? A craft store?
We are a craft store! 😊 www.paracordplanet.com/
Hello, where can I get a clip of this size?
Hi, link is in the description.
The clasps are not available on your website
For now, you can find them on through the Amazon link in the description. We are in the process of adding them to our website and will let you know when they are ready. 😀
@@ParacordPlanet ok. Cool!
Updated the description with clasp link!
@@ParacordPlanet oh snap. I already ordered them off of Amazon through the link.
@@doreengrap4433 it's in the video description.

Gotta love someone who makes lame statements but won't even use his real name. That must be what they called you in boot camp, huh? Ben Dover?
@@redwoodred829 oh so funny. Do you perform as a stand up comedian? When is your show on? Now, before coming at me with lame jokes, you should study a bit more about masks, which do work and which don't. I'm usually referring to those that masses use, they rarely comply with safety standards, plus it it mostly depends on wearer's discipline. But blindly believing that you can put whatever piece of cloth on your face in hopes that virus won't get through... that's ignorance at best.
Keep working on your lame jokes.
@@tekknorat Actually, I am. I'm here all week. Be sure to tip your waitress!
But seriously, the next time you have surgery, be sure to mark the box on the release form stating that you chose for your surgeons and nurses not to wear masks. They don't work!
But hey, thanks for taking my current favorite past time, on my favorite UToob channel, and making a politicizing masks.
I guess the FleeceBook or Twit bans have kicked in and the troll urge is strong with this one.
Have a great day, Mr. *ahem* Dover.
