Bro your technique and knowledge on MPC is remarkable bro jeez I am lost but big up to you for your tutorial and you nice on the lyrics and vocals or easy on he ears 🫡🫵🏽💵💴
much love bro i always was an artist before producing but gotta wait for ppl to catch up on some kanye shid lol but all jokes aside thanks for tuning in bro to both the video and music 💯
I use the MPC software and when editing vocals. If you hover your mouse over the bottom half of the vocal/audio file a drag tool will pop up for dragging end points. See if you're able to long press the bottom half in standalone
I really like the "Punch-in" explanation. Usually, I would just record over an ending part, and then use the arrow feature to adjust to the desired start point. Great info. Also the editing with pencil info.
@@MurrlandMonaLisa no but this is useful for getting down vocal ideas as i usually make my beats around my vocals even in fl so this help and its not black and white either , i might feel the song im doing on the mpc and put it out as is ,its about how you use the gear
Jae Fresh you a genius, you’re probably the most straight forward person giving tutorials! I wanted to know how you would export that song recorded or if I recorded guitars how would that export?
@@JaeFreshmen I'm just cruising with what ever you put up. I just started recording in standalone this past December. I'm impressed with what I've been able to create. I'm glad all that my gear hooks up to it and nothing has to get wasted. I'm forcing myself to stay away from the PC as much as possible.
@@JaeFreshmen if I'm ever on the go it's easier to grab the live 2 and get to work. Especially if at someones home. There isn't always space for a laptop. Also, I bought it specifically for the portability. I could have gotten several other machines if I'm going to stay tethered. I do love the benefit of controller mode but I've made some of my favorite music ever, in standalone.
It's non destructive recording so you can pull the clip back out to the original length but pull the the new verse forward first just like regular daw audio hope that make since ( punch in tip)

Ill be damned - so the Focusrite Solo huh... I actually got one as a gift from a coworker - i have it saved since i figured it would be decent too use with a mic. I do have a Volt 276 too though that i use when i sample and for midi.
Hey Bruv, love your stuff. I realize it's not drastically different now but could you make this video again in MPC 3? I'm a fellow MPC user who records his own raps over his own beats in Standalone. Would be excellent fresh content)👊
Could u do a tutorial using the sampler on how to record your own samples like say u want a clap u clap and it goes to the sampler or u jingle some keys and its sampled?
For punch ins I just use an empty track then just cut and paste the damn punch one into one track. Once you get used to it you can do it so fast they could punch in ever bar without waiting. That way you can just hit rec n play and let them go lol
Hey enjoying your videos I have a question. How do you put a certain part of any song into a cycle? Repeat I am trying to play one part over and over so I can make adjustments.
Whats good my guy!! Thanks i love your videos. I'm recording on my akai mpc live with interface soundcraft notepad 5. My question is when I record my vocal at the end of my 8th or 16 bar at the end playing it back it cups off a half of a second on my recording (rapping) but it shows my recording on the screen i just dont hear it, it cuts a half of a second it goes out, why is that??? PLEASE HELP
@@DL-1 if you have a sd or usb drive and go to the browser menu like i did the beginning of the video , it will show up on the left side also click the tab "places" while in browser if you screen is on expansion and i do 1 on 1 just so you aware but from there when you go to save you will have the option to choose your external drives on the left side
@JaeFreshmen I hear you. I know that's how you export from the mpc software to load into the mpc live 2. But can I do that same process in reverse to copy expansions from the physical mpc live 2? I'm sorry. I'm not trying to be difficult.
@@DL-1 oh ok i see, im not gon say no you can't but i seen this question get ask in a few groups and forum and it seem like thats not possible but ill keep you updated if i find something
@klubbbanguz the vocals yes, but if you load a project/beat, it will be an midi track. So my question was, can the beat be a midi track, and the vox be an audio track
it can be and i was going to add that part in the video but it would be very tedious to do because if you load it and assign it to a pad the only thing is since it would be just one note the playback has to always start at the beginning because thats where the first note is and yea you can chop the beat up and then youll have more notes in the midi to have different playback spots but trust me having it on 1 audio track wont hurt ,just got to have a different workflow and not try to compare it to a daw workflow
this is pointless the mpc needs mouse support first of all n theres way to many steps just to record ...like basic functions is almost a 2-3 part step just use a daw

You get 8 per sequence also you can mix down your vocal and put them on pads
thats good to know but if you working with a wav file that you add to an audio track i dont know how that will still be helpful
