I am in the middle of a kitchen renovation and was so excited to see this video! My kitchen is going to be white and I considered matte black but do NOT want modern farmhouse so I was considering a dark bronze (non oil rubbed) and having a hard time finding faucets etc in a non oil rubbed bronze. I am considering changing to matte black but am afraid it will look like modern farmhouse or super contemporary/modern. Those are the two styles I see black used most often. Any suggestions? Can matte black be traditional?

If you don't like the modern look, opt for a finish like bronze/gold and for faucets with organic shapes and interesting details that connect with the style you want. Avoid Matte black faucets with minimalist and contemporary shapes; if you opt for black, try to make its form connect with your style (farmhouse) 😊

My island pendants are contemporary caged look and my dining area is open to the kitchen with 2 large caged pendants all are black. The width is @36 wide with black windows. Should I have a wide light or a armed light that drops down? I don’t want to make the area seem cluttered or busy. Thanks
How you feel about concrete countertops? I'm considering concrete with an epoxy coating to look like marble. From what I've learned so far, it is food safe, highly durable, and looks like real marble (or granite, or whatever you choose to mimic). I'd like to have your opinion on this please. Thank you.
To be fair, It's hard to look around when You are in the camera ^_^. For a small tip for renovations, I suggest looking at Dako company for new doors or windows.
Some great tips as always but I don't think there's anything practical or elegant about open shelving in a real kitchen (versus a showroom kitchen). Open shelves tend to collect dust and unless you only plan to store designer objects that you probably don't use, the objects that end up on them will probably end up detracting from the look of your kitchen :-(
The current trend for open shelves starts out well but usually ends up messy. I don't believe you advised to put a lamp beside a sink, that is dangerous.
Hi Laura, Thanks for sharing! I have never heard of a negative experience having a lamp near the sink area. If the electrical installation and the plumbing are well installed, it mustn't conflict; the same happens with the lamps in the vanity in bathrooms, where it's common to have them. Did you have a bad experience with some of these situations? I'll love to know about it to learn more about it! :)
