Anti-ASMR is definitely a matter of opinion. Objectively yes, I understand it's a harsh sound. But, scratching sounds are often used in ASMR and the nostalgia this evokes produces the happy chemical in my brain.
My friends and I are actually goin gto use this sound in a recreation of the sounds of the Winnipeg Airport circa 1999 when I lost my eyesight, so we're wondering if you're fine with us using your video so we don't hav eto go find a working Okidata printer? This one sounds just like the one near the boarding area.
It appears to be a standard typewriter ribbon, although the manual states that the proper ribbon also contains lubricant along with the ink. I found several boxes of unopened ribbons a while back so I at least am set for the rest of my life.
I don't know how many nights I went to sleep in the 90s to this soundtrack.
